  1. 03:00. By now, everyone under the roof of the household was fast asleep. Under no circumstances should anyone be awake at this time. Even the youngest and most energetic, Tinni, by now would have lost the energy to make noise in her sound-proof room. That being said, Work awoke to the sound of a knocking on her door. Fairly soft with about a second in between each contact in order to hopefully not disturb anyone else. Each room was a fair distance apart anyways (well except for the distance between the two parents of the family). She reluctantly got out of bed with a very annoyed look on her face. Work hardly gets much sleep at all due to the fact she has to wake up earlier than everyone else just to give everyone a good wake-up. The baggy-eye schedule she oh so fittingly named it. She slides a fluffy shirt onto herself and tiredly makes her way to the door, turning the handle and opening it to find Jealousy with a worried expression on his face.
  2. “Jealous?...What..What are you doing up so late?”
  3. His expression shifted into a more serious look. The jackal looked into the lion’s sleep-deprived eyes and firmly said his words.
  4. “Work..You need to see something.”
  5. “...Must be serious then.”
  6. Jealousy grabbed his sister’s hand and both made their way quietly down the dimly lit corridor. Each minute or so that passed by, his face became more and more troubled. Doubt? Fear? Worry? Work wondered why her brother was acting out of the normal, especially at this time of night. But as they made their way down the main stairs and to the entrance of the basement, a sudden realisation engulfed Work’s tired mind. “Jealous wait...Something’s up with...Bad Memory isn’t it?”
  7. Jealousy slowly nodded. They walked down the stairs and into the home of Bad Memory.
  8.
  9. Beyond dark. The only light available was the incredibly faint green glow of Jealousy’s irises. Beyond ominous. Nobody ever dare to willingly be in the presence of the creature that only causes pain. Overwhelmingly terrifying. Work knew that both of them would leave this horrid place feeling worse than typical sadness. But she knew it was something important if someone came knocking at her door just to bring her down here. Jealousy’s mood sank deeper and deeper, yet no one could tell from the little light there was. Footsteps of the two began to slow down in pace until eventually they reached the floor of the basement where to their right presented an almost empty, cold, silent space that most would call a room. Yes, almost empty, for a cage the size of a small treehouse, with bars made of a metal unknown to the two, in the middle a hazy cloud of darkness. “..I’ve..never seen it like this before” Work said with a mix of dread and curiosity. “Me neither. It’s always remained as a..small puppy like thing..”
  10. “Is this what you wanted to show me?”
  11. “Yeah…”
  12. “Why didn’t you tell mum or dad about this?”
  13. From the centre of the cage came a voice. A voice that sounded young, energetic, a voice of a friend that never existed. “Because my master loves to feel in control.” A sudden sense of shock rushed through the siblings and swiftly had their backs against the wall as a reaction. The translucent mist that made up Bad Memory slowly began to convert into a runny liquid. It began to all drip to the ground and started to take shape into something larger than the size of a puppy. Legs, torso, arms, it was forming a person, a person the size of a boy. It’s body formed clothes. Shorts, a tee-shirt, a dog collar around the neck and eventually leading to the head. Ears in similar shape to Jealousy’s but smaller, and two hats on the end of them (a party hat on the left and a baseball hat on the right). Hair sprouted from its head and bright, innocent looking, pure white eyes appeared on the facial region. Bad Memory had taken the shape of a young looking boy that, for some reason, Jealousy felt like as if he had once known it. Still remaining in the cage, it spoke in the same voice. “Why am I in this cage? Did I do something wrong master?” Work glanced over to Jealousy, only to find his face had been overcome with sheer terror. “W-Who Are You?!” the scared Jealousy shouted. “Y-you don’t remember?” it replied, with an expression of what seemed to be of genuine sadness. “T-Tism..I-I’m your b-boyfriend remember?” Jealousy’s emotions grew more and more horrified, his whole body shaking in reasonless fear. He didn’t know why, but the form it took pierced both his mind and heart with so many destructive emotions, but before he could say another word, the younger sister stepped in front of him with her eyes towards the boy. “Alright! What Are You Doing To My Brother!?”
  14.
  15. All source of light went away.
  16. Jealousy’s sounds of pure horror were replaced with dead silence.
  17. Work lost her track of thought and was left in distress.
  18.
  19. “Work..”
  20. The voice of an older man than the boy she had just witnessed came from behind her.
  21. “What’s wrong?..”
  22. She felt a warm hand being placed on her right shoulder.
  23. “You can tell me..”
  24. A shadowy figure slowly stepped in front of her.
  25. “..Please don’t stress yourself more..You’re an amazing girl..”
  26. She couldn’t speak.
  27. “..Determined to do her best..Willing to help others..”
  28. “...”
  29. “..Yet..very...very..Selfish..”
  30. Work’s mind was lost.
  31. “..You loved me..But all you wanted was me to prove to yourself that you were perfect..”
  32.
  33. “..Believing that you could just lose everything and expect me to recover it for you..”
  34.
  35. “..You didn’t care one bit about how I felt..”
  36.
  37. “..You didn’t care that my family..my siblings..My Children..were all in need of help..”
  38.
  39. “..Your family just sat there and watched as we all suffered..”
  40.
  41. “..And..You all expected us just to be happy..to serve you all for your selfish needs..”
  42.
  43. “..I thought you could understand..”
  44.
  45. “..I thought you could save all of us..”
  46.
  47. “..But You Left Us To Die..”
  48.
  49. “You Left Us ALL TO DIE”
  50.
  51. “You...You Childish Little Lion…”
  52.
  53. “..Your family is absolutely disgusting..”
  54.
  55. “..Burn with all the fires of hell you sick Freak.”
  56.
  57.
  58.
  59.
  60.
  61.
  62.
  63.
  64. Work regained her consciousness and found herself screaming at the top of her voice. Tears staining the fur on her face and her voice emitting uncontrollable amounts of dread and terror. Jealousy had carried her out of the basement and is now trying his best to get work to calm down.
  65. She couldn’t.
  66. Screams and shouts came from the girl, filling the whole nearby area. She couldn’t even make out the face of her own brother trying his damned hardest to get her out of this horrendous state.
  67. But he couldn’t.
  68. Work couldn’t sense herself.
  69. Everyone in the household awoke to the screams of a broken Work.
