  4. ---- Rules ----
  5. * Each match is best of 15, beginning from 1-1 and ending at 7-3. Secret areas, such as Y.V.'s mansion, are completely allowed, however if doing so would either increase the amount of rounds played until 7-3, or decrease, then you must play as many additional rounds as required to hit 15 rounds.
  6. * Mutations are enabled.
  7. * Enemies and bosses are disabled.
  8. * The winner of each round picks the mutations of any level ups gained this round, even if multiple level ups happen in one round.
  9. * 1v1. Free for alls and team deathmatch aren't banned, exactly, but should have differing rulesets (and, in the case of TDM, possibly tier list) than this one.
  10. * Each player gains 2 maximum hit points at the end of each round, as per the default settings of PVP.
  11. * While not likely to happen, Ultra Mutations are set to be unique for each character, instead of the normal co-op ones, and each player picks their own character's mutation. If the match is a mirror match, then the winner of the round will pick the mutations.
  12. * If both players kill one another, causing a match to end early, then the score is kept from the current match, and a new one is begun, with the same characters. If this was intentional on the part of one of the players (such as by being very obviously suicidal with close range explosives), then the offending player will lose one point.
  13. * Modded characters are usually not allowed, although if all parties are consenting, then they may be. Keep in mind that modded characters might be unbalanced and might give an edge to one player that is so great that even a skilled foe cannot beat the modded beast. Modded skins are allowed.
  14. ---- Tierlist and Reasonings ----
  15. **S Tier**
  16. Crystal - Crystal's passive isn't a huge boon to her, although it can be the difference between life and death in early rounds. What makes her truly powerful is her active; the ability to reflect or block most projectiles when you cannot reliably get a melee weapon is very useful, but even so, would only place her around B-tier at most. However, if she gains her Throne Butt, her ability to teleport means she can escape most bad situations, and quickly assassinate her foes, making her potentially the most powerful character in the roster, as she can easily snowball once she gains Throne Butt.
  17. Yung Venuz - Y.V. is arguably the best character for PVP if mutations are completely ignored; his higher fire rate means he will win the majority of shootouts (being countered only by Steroids, typically), and his active means that he can easily destroy most foes in a single shot if he gains a powerful weapon like a Bazooka. His Throne Butt further increases his active's potential to oneshot most of the time, and, while unlikely to happen, both of his Ultra Mutations are insanely powerful.
  18. **A Tier**
  19. Fish - Fish can roll. This makes him very difficult to hit or catch with melee weapons, especially if he gets his Throne Butt, and his passive means he can use weapons that expend huge amounts of ammo, like the Super Plasma Cannon, more than other characters would be able to.
  20. Plant - Plant's incredibly fast speed makes it just as slippery as Fish without Throne Butt, and its active can lock down an opponent enough that they can immediately be killed before they can even try to escape.
  21. Steroids - Steroids' being able to dual wield grants him potentially the highest consistent DPS out of all of the characters, only being beaten by Y.V.'s incredible burst potential, and although his lessened accuracy makes it hard for him to hit with most ranged weapons, he becomes incredibly powerful with a Shovel. He might actually be closer to S tier, but due to Crystal, Fish, and Plant being able to reflect and dodge, he is typically beaten out by them.
  22. Rogue - Rogue has an amazing early game, from her Portal Strike being able to easily instantly kill her opponent in the first three rounds, and her passive causing her to win the majority of melee skirmishes immediately. Her passive also can destroy projectiles, meaning that she has an edge against characters who rely on firing large amounts of projectiles rapidly, such as Steroids and sometimes Y.V.. However, an intelligent opponent will stop her from getting her Portal Strike charges back, and later in the match, her Portal Strike's damage is typically too low to risk going for the charges. Her Portal Strikes do help her considerably against Crystal, as they can stop her from getting her Throne Butt early, and prevent her snowballing.
  23. **B Tier**
  24. Frog - While the inability to stop moving unless charging his gas can make Frog tricky to use for beginners, his active is an amazing spacing tool, one that can close off passageways for just enough time to allow Frog to obtain better weapons or ammunition, and his inability to take damage from poison means he can be a huge threat in 2-1, as well as being able to use Toxic weapons liberally. However, if an opponent is quick to close in on him, or kill him, which is very possible for Crystal, Fish, Plant, and earlygame Rogue, he isn't very difficult to take down.
  25. **C Tier**
  26. Horror - Horror's passive is both a blessing and a curse; it can allow him to gain the mutations he wants earlier than usual, however it also allows characters like Crystal that rely on Throne Butt to snowball more reliably. However, while his active is decent for damage, it also is a counter to characters that require Throne Butt; a Horror player against an opponent like this can simply use all their rads, preventing their opponent from gaining mutations.
  27. Eyes - Eyes' passive does virtually nothing, aside from on two rounds of the 15. Admittedly, it is fairly useful on those two rounds, but not by a large scale. His active is fairly useful, as while he cannot pull in the enemy player, and Euphoria does not work on projectiles in PVP, he can make his own projectiles move at a much faster rate, allowing him to quickly snipe his foes. His Throne Butt improves this even more so, as well as making it easier for him to snag chests earlier than his opponents.
  28. **D Tier**
  29. Chicken - Chicken's passive does absolutely nothing in 1v1 PVP, as once you're dead, your opponent wins (although it can be amazing in Team Deathmatch). Her active isn't typically that powerful, but from its relatively fast speed, and acceptable damage, it can quickly close in on a fleeing kill, or end a shootout in Chicken's favor. However, she is outclassed by most characters.
  30. Big Dog - Big Dog's passive of 300 hit points is an amazing boon, but after that, his kit is then fairly horrible; his large size means he will typically need to take damage to even begin moving around, he is extremely slow, and he cannot use any weapons aside from his two starters. He might be closer to E tier, but his huge hit point pool combined with him having explosives and usually being in a confined space means that he can actually kill his foes if he gets himself in a spot where he cannot be easily sniped.
  31. **E Tier**
  32. Robot - Robot's passive helps both him and his opponent, meaning that it's not exactly amazing. His active of eating guns is typically fairly mediocre, although it can be useful for occasionally healing and for rejuvenating the ammunition of guns that use a lot of it, such as the Super Plasma Cannon. However, the rest of the cast typically outclasses him.
  33. Rebel - Rebel's passive does nothing, and her allies do not target the other player. Her allies can be useful, however; their death explosion *does* damage the other player, and they can block shots. From this, she has a minor niche of being useful, but not a big one.
  34. **F Tier**
  35. Melting - Melting is possibly the worst character for PVP. His low starting HP means he is almost guaranteed to lose the first few rounds--especially if he never gets Rhino Skin--his passive for gaining rads does almost nothing in PVP, and his active only comes up against Rebel, meaning he only effectively counters a single character in the entire game.
  36. Skeleton - Skeleton is also possibly the worst character for PVP, being tied with Melting. His lower starting HP has the same problem as Melting's, only slightly better, but his low speed and accuracy make him a sitting duck in most cases. Blood Gamble isn't *worthless* in PVP, mainly for use with the Super Plasma Cannon, but you'll usually just die before you run out of ammo for guns like that.
