  1. 08:02] Dillon Endore exclaims, "I wanna be a knight!"
  2. [08:02] Neklous Endore asks, "Oh?"
  3. [08:02] Neklous Endore says, "Yvel is currently a knight."
  4. [08:02] Dillon Endore says, "Sound fun, and wha...."
  5. [08:02] Dillon Endore says, "So cool."
  6. [08:02] Dillon Endore says, "He said I will be the first earth mage in the family."
  7. [08:03] Tel'evis Gown says, "Kuma had been discussing with him on that day too about such Magic, so I thought it fitting I offer my help."
  8. [08:04] Tel'evis Gown says, "It's nice to see a kid with a dream."
  9. [08:04] Dillon Endore says, "Hehe."
  10. [08:08] Tel'evis Gown says, "I see night has creeped in."
  11. [08:09] Dillon Endore asks, "Neklous, I have some stuff I want to sell. Know anyone who wants to buy some things?"
  12. [08:09] Dillon Endore says, "Random ore, stuff from a boar, some sweet mushrooms, chicken feathers."
  13. [08:09] Dillon Endore says, "Some green looking food."
  14. [08:10] Dillon Endore says, "White flowers."
  15. [08:10] Dillon Endore says, "Some rope looking thing."
  16. [08:11] Neklous Endore says, "Ehh.."
  17. [08:11] Neklous Endore says, "You could try buying a stall.."
  18. [08:11] Neklous Endore says, "I am not too sure."
  19. [08:11] Neklous Endore says, "I have never sold anything myself."
  20. [08:12] Tel'evis Gown says, "All else fails, contact your local Merchant. He always buys stuff. If you're looking for a quick sale anyway."
  21. [08:13] Dillon Endore says, "Hm."
  22. [08:13] Dillon Endore says, "I want to safe for a staff."
  23. [08:13] Dillon Endore says, "Those shopkeepers think I'm made of money."
  24. [08:14] Tel'evis Gown says, "Aye. As someone who spent his last coin on this sword, I understand."
  25. [08:14] Dillon Endore says, "I tried to go out today and mine ores."
  26. [08:14] Dillon Endore says, "Some rock creatures almost most got me."
  27. [08:15] Dillon Endore says, "They shook the earth and tried ot eat me."
  28. [08:15] Dillon Endore exclaims, "Then!"
  29. [08:15] * You have been awarded 4 Roleplay Points! *
  30. [08:15] Dillon Endore says, "Some water creature did the same thing."
  31. [08:15] Dillon Endore says, "I still crawled and got my item, but ran like heck to get away."
  32. [08:16] Tel'evis Gown asks, "Oh? I hear something about a new quarry. Was that the place you took a trip to?"
  33. [08:19] Neklous Endore says, "Hmm"
  34. [08:19] Neklous Endore asks, "Tel'evis do ya have a nickname?"
  35. [08:21] He arched a small eyebrow and hummed in thought. It was true that he had been called various titles, what with his budding usage of Nature and Fire Magic. A rather strained combination. However as for a nickname? Typically it was best to keep it simple.
  36.
  37. Tel'evis learned forward once again, scratching own dirty cheek slightly as he smiled briefly.
  38.
  39. "People often refer to me as Tel."
  40.
  41. Another puff of air left his twitching nose.
  42.
  43. "Simple and straightforward, eh?"
  44. (Tel'evis Gown)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [08:22] Dillon Endore exclaims, "Tel? I'll keep that noted!"
  48. [08:25] Neklous Endore says, "Tel"
  49. [08:25] Neklous Endore says, "Will do."
  50. [08:25] Neklous Endore says, "It sure is boring around here."
  51. [08:26] Tel'evis Gown says, "Aye. I would invite you two to my home for tea, alas the forest is not as entertaining as that city I imagine."
  52. [08:28] Dillon Endore says, "I wouldn't mind it gives me a chance to learn about new palces."
  53. [08:28] Tel'evis Gown says, "Mn? You remember that place I took you to practice, Dillon? That is what you would call my home."
  54. [08:30] Neklous Endore asks, "Oh?"
  55. [08:30] Neklous Endore says, "I am down to go."
  56. [08:34] He seemed amused. There was nothing special about his home. Just a piece of the forest outside of town. Slowly he stood up and lightly fixed his attire, well, as best as one could such a muddy uniform. His fingers danced along the edges of his outfit, coming up to briefly compose the upper part of his shirt.
  57.
  58. "If that is what you desire, I'll happily show you."
  59.
  60. Tel'evis shifted and gave a beckoning gesture.
  61.
  62. "Besides, perhaps showing you where I keep my head might allow you to contact me if you ever have need of me."
  63.
  64. After all, he would never ignore an offer that he made.
  65.
  66. Especially to a family.
  67. (Tel'evis Gown)
  68. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  69.
  70. [08:35] Dillon Endore says, "Lets get on guard."
  71. [08:36] Tel'evis Gown asks, "Mn. Remember, Dillon?"
  72. [08:36] Neklous Endore asks, "This is your home?"
  73. [08:36] Neklous Endore says, "Interesting."
  74. [08:36] Dillon Endore asks, "You live here?"
  75. [08:37] Neklous Endore says, "Red and pink roses are beautiful."
  76. [08:37] Dillon Endore says, "I did my training out here."
  77. [08:37] Tel'evis Gown says, "Yup. I have no need for a roof. No manor. "
  78. [08:40] He held out his hand and clicked his fingers, a spark of magical energy echoing off him as the earth below them began to slide. Slowly dancing, wiggling vines creeped out of the ground and wiggled in a eery, observing manner. As if keeping guard for them. Watching those outside of his little 'home' without a single word.
  79.
  80. "Please, take a seat if that is your desire."
  81.
  82. Tel'evis walked up to one of the trees and turned, letting his body come to a rest upon the back of his shining mithril sword (along with the large tree) behind him. His lips parted for a brief yawn and his gaze fell upon them, glimmering with that same strange whisper of pink light that was almost unnatural to spy upon.
  83.
  84. "Not that I would refuse a home, mind you. Times are changing after all. I imagine that my constant stay here would attract bad attention sooner or later."
  85.
  86. He shook his head.
  87.
  88. "Druids. Occultists. You name it."
  89. (Tel'evis Gown)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [08:44] Dillion climbs a tree on sits on one of the branches while looking at the both of them. He didn't think the place he begin his training was the same place his first mentor lived. Things felt kind of ironic that way, but it was still quite nice.
  93.
  94. "I had no idea you live so freely in nature, and since where hear again I'd like to know a little more about nature.
  95.
  96. You said it could be cruel sometimes, but you didn't go into detail about what you meant. It's a vet vague statement and I can't really understand how something so beautiful can be cruel"
  97.
  98. Dillion being swinging his legs waiting for an answer.
  99. (Dillon Endore)
  100. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  101.
  102. [08:49] Neklous nods as he chooses to sit at the bottom of a tree, near a few budding red roses.
  103.
  104. "This I might say is definitely a peaceful place to stay at. Only thing I would not like is the coldness that sweeps through the forest at night."
  105.
  106. Sitting to the side, Neklous listened to the conversation going on between the two. When he was not being obnoxious and oddly eccentric, he preferred to be calm and quiet.
  107.
  108. Sometimes being silent allowed you to be a lot more aware to your surroundings. It allowed you to absorbed the smallest details you would of missed had you been talking.
  109.
  110.
  111. (Neklous Endore)
  112. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  113.
  114. [08:55] "Mother Nature can be cruel. Tis' true." He began, his back against the tree as his words drifted through the air. "Sleep out in the forest for too long and you may find yourself in the stomach of a wolf. This is just something that happens."
  115.
  116. A small blinked of his eyes.
  117.
  118. "There is a reason you sleep inside after all. Even a small breeze can disturb a man."
  119.
  120. He paused, a chuckle following.
  121.
  122. "You may even find that you picked some odd berries, or a flower that proceeds to poison you. As said, nature can be quite....annoying..."
  123.
  124. It was clear that he thought all these things as minor little mischief problems of reality. After all, the wolf had thoughts of its own and it would be their own fault for picking berries or a flower. Yet, he continued with every chime of his soft, but casual words.
  125.
  126. "Yet, the reason that nature is cruel is very simple. Something so true that nobody can deny."
  127.
  128. Tel'evis gestured around them. To the ground. To the sky. To even the very air that continued to echo over them.
  129.
  130. "We need it. We can't live without it. Take away nature...and things, people, begin to die. This is cruel reality of life."
  131. (Tel'evis Gown)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [08:55] Tel'evis Gown says, "Aah~ I ramble too much."
  135. [09:02] Dillion was confused, but for nature to be so beautiful if you're in it long enough you can see the ugly truth, but was that really the answer.
  136.
  137. "Yet you sleep here just fine, so...…does that mean that people that don't understand Mother nature are the ones that fall victim to it?"
  138.
  139. Dillion gather that from the clues given by Tel or maybe eh was going out of context with the whole cruel part of nature thing.
  140.
  141. "I'm assuming the moment you take the time out to understand nature you'll be better off? Is nature only cruel to the people that are on the outside looking in or does it stench a little deeper than that?"
  142.
  143. Dillion took out his note book and continue to write a few things down.
  144.
  145. "Don't worry I like learning."
  146. (Dillon Endore)
  147. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  148.
  149. [09:14] He chuckled lightly as he smiled at Dillon, his pink eyes almost winking behind the shadowy fatigue that could be seen across his dirty features. There was a flare of something respectful on the very tip of his gaze, as if Dillon had said something correct, but also slightly wrong. If anything, it had trigged a chuckle from the wanderer.
  150.
  151. "Understanding it is all you can do. People cannot hope to master nature, only urge it and gain it's assistance. You cannot demand it's obedience. However.."
  152.
  153. Tel'evis raised his hand and gestured to the tree he was leaning against. The canopy of trees that was draping over them being almost like a cosy home. A shack without any roof. It was only broken by the breeze that could still be felt by them. There were no walls to block that. Not at all.
  154.
  155. "Even understanding it doesn't completely save you from the cruelty of nature. It just helps you. Besides, if a fool like me who has spent his entirelife in the woods can still be injured within them..."
  156.
  157. He raised to show his torn, scarred fingers and continued.
  158.
  159. "Then anyone can fall victim to it."
  160.
  161. A small shake of his head followed.
  162.
  163. "Baah~ Now I'm rambling once again. Still, I hope this answers your question. If it doesn't, then maybe this one line might."
  164.
  165. There were no words that followed. Just a tense silence before he pointed directly at Dillon.
  166.
  167. "Nature is a chain upon man. One that cannot be broken. It is the cruellest thing that life can give us. A bounty of fruit, harvest and greenery...that we can no longer do without."
  168. (Tel'evis Gown)
  169. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  170.
  171. [09:23] Dillon bit down on his pen as his notes taking stopped something Tel said really made him thing; however Dillion wasn't sure if these thoughts were right or wrong.
  172. The way the conversation went it seems as if nature allowed people to take from it, but in return it takes right back. A cycle of life that repeats itself no matter what.
  173.
  174. "I'm a little confused about the last thing you said, so nature allows us to take from it because in the end it will have us either way? Some people think humans are greedy and with how large some of these buildings are I can take a good part of nature was taken."
  175.
  176. Dillion begin to write something down.
  177.
  178. "Nature always gets it's way in the end, and that's the cruel part...…no matter how much you want to avoid it you just can't.
  179.
  180. Nature will always wait until the right moment to strike you, and that's why people that understand it a little better last longer, am I right?"
  181.
  182. Dillion bit his pen again.
  183.
  184. "Nature is like a tab...…you can keep taking more from it, but the tab will need to be paid one day...…"
  185. (Dillon Endore)
  186. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  187.
  188. [09:29] He chuckled once again, his head resting against the bark of the tree as he let his eyes drift upwards to the sky. The breeze becoming less and less now. Tel'evis let loose another small yawn, but it was clear that it was simply because he was quite relaxed here. This was his home after all. Untouched by man. Well, barring his own two hands.
  189.
  190. "A tab, huh? Well, you're not wrong. The simple fact is that all species of life cannot live without it."
  191.
  192. Another paused followed as his nose gave another familiar twitch.
  193.
  194. "Once you're born, you are intertwined with nature even in the deepest reaches of the city. From the food that you eat, to the very ground that you walk upon. It is always there.
  195.
  196. He nodded to Dillon, his eye winking.
  197.
  198. "It is a chain, but not a bad one. You could always refuse it's bounty, of course, but...well, life has a habit of ending very quickly without it."
  199.
  200.
  201. (Tel'evis Gown)
  202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  203.
  204. [09:46] Dillion stop biting his pen it seems he's taking a few good notes on what the man was telling him. Dillion didn't really understand nature since he wasn't learning it, but he start to become interested in nature and what it is about.
  205. Dillion looked around at how peaceful everything was, and he still didn't understand how it could ne cruel, and at the same time it make since it was very confusing.
  206.
  207. "I think I'm starting to understand it a little more, but I'd probably have to study nature and learn about the big picture before I can truly know."
  208.
  209. If mother nature was truly keeping tabs, then when would Dillion have to pay his dues to her?
  210. He wasn't sure if he had a big impact on nature, but he remembers his training he sis a while ago.
  211.
  212. "Me learning earth magic has really intertwined me with nature."
  213. (Dillon Endore)
  214. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  215.
  216. [10:07] After hearing the conversation about Nature, Neklous finally decides to speak after sitting under the tree for so long.
  217.
  218. "Might I add my input?"
  219.
  220. "What Tel speaks is very true. There are many philosophies and theories based around Nature.. Yet one could spend their entire life learning about nature yet not even touch on the boundaries of using its power. "
  221.
  222. Neklous gets off the ground and began walking around the small garden with a hand placed upon his chin in thought.
  223.
  224. "If you intend on learning magic that nature has to offer, then you must form a connection to it. Be knowledgeable all you want but if you have no connection to it, the knowledge is meaningless."
  225.
  226. "Also too much of anything is harmful and that applies with knowledge in some aspects as well. Being too knowledgeable about something such as nature won't allow you to see the big picture. In fact knowing too much about it will be harmful when trying to use its power as you will be too focused on the logics and concepts that form it. "
  227.
  228. "That ultimately will deter your concentration or overwhelm you when you attempt to connect to nature."
  229.
  230. "Understand this, Nature represents Rebirth, Healing, calmness and sereneness. "
  231.
  232. "All that food chain and death cycle stuff is only an extremely small aspect of nature that non-magi use to understand what they can't understand. Such information is not too helpful to magi."
  233.
  234. "Once we make a connection, the information will come to us naturally."
  235.
  236. "Remember to also be selfish. When you look at nature it is not about it.. its about you and what you see in it. "
  237.
  238. "When I was learning it on my own, someone told me I need to sacrifice everything for The World in order to receive its power."
  239.
  240. "It was easy for me to do that because everyone prospective is different. He sacrificed everything to physical world where as my world is my family. Just like plants need light to grow, I need my family and my Rhea especially to grow."
  241.
  242. "Nature is called Mother nature for a reason. It is all nurturing and warming. Its up to you what part you see of her."
  243.
  244. "See like Tel was saying.. we are born into nature already. We are already part of it. From the cities to the high mountains.. everything is within nature and when we die we will return to it. Why is there a need to sacrifice to it? All you need is a strong connection to it."
  245.
  246. Neklous walked over to Dillion and pointed a finger at his chest where his heart was located.
  247.
  248. "The easiest way to form a connection is from your heart. Your heart is where your strongest emotions are birthed. In order words, look at the sand or whatever part of nature you wish to control.. see what you feel from it and how it represents you"
  249. (Neklous Endore)
  250. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  251.
  252. [10:17] A laugh followed. It was a dry laugh.
  253.
  254. Yet, it was a clear one.
  255.
  256. Tel'evis slowly stood up and flexed his ruined fingers before giving a polite, almost happy clap to Neklous. It appeared that the Nature Magi was more than satisfied with their answers. Both of them. His frail form was creaking and small, but there was a confidence of happiness there as he clapped. As if both amused and truly happy. His cheek tinting red for a moment before he composed himself.
  257.
  258. "Both of you. You...know much about both of these things. All I can do is offer you the same line that many foolishly ignore. Please, always remember."
  259.
  260. He lifted a hand and gestured to the trees. The world around them. His fingers flexing with the details that grass and nature sprang upon them. His pink eyes glimmering brighter than they had when they previously met him in the town. His voice clear, stern and joyful in it's essence as a cruel line flowed from his tongue. That same cruel line that he uttered before.
  261.
  262. But.
  263.
  264. It was different this time.
  265.
  266. "Nature is a cruel, unending ring that humanity, beast-kin and those alike cannot escape. If they destroy, then they destroy themselves."
  267.
  268. He gestured to both of them.
  269.
  270. "I look forward to great things from you both. Far more than merely a hermit like myself can accomplish."
  271.
  272. Tel'evis stared at them with those strange, pink tinted eyes.
  273.
  274. Then he dropped straight back down on his butt, yawning slightly as he leaned back against the bark of the tree behind him. Whatever serious tone he had rapidly faded and he scratched his dirty cheek as he shook a trickle of dirt from his scraggy blonde hair.
  275.
  276. "Baa~ Rambling again. Tis' true though, you two will learn much. That I can see."
  277. (Tel'evis Gown)
  278. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  279.
  280. [10:26] Neklous Endore says, "Lets not compare accomplishments. Lets just grow together Tel."
  281. [10:26] Neklous Endore says, "Each person has their own path. We all eventually step on the same road though."
  282. [10:28] Tel'evis Gown says, "Hmn! I'll go right. You go left. That way, we can tell each other what we find."
  283. [10:28] Neklous Endore says, "The true measure of a magi is not about how he lives but how he dies. "
  284. [10:32] Dillion begin writing as fast as he could about what both of them spoke wise words about nature, but how much of it did Dillion really understand?
  285. He took a deep breath and begin filling the page with a bunch of information he didn't know if he needed or not; however it all seemed important to him.
  286.
  287. "I kind of get it how a mother would treat her child and be over protective of it, she would also punish you for doing something terrible like any mother would.
  288. It seems really hard to understand, and at the same time it's kind of simple in a complex way.
  289.
  290. If a person really wanted to learn nature they'd have to take the time to understand it a little bit at a time."
  291.
  292. Dillion turns back to his earth notes, and then back to the note he taken on sand magic.
  293.
  294. "Earth magic, and nature magic are one in the same from what I can tell. Once can't be without the other, and the more you love the earth the better you wouldbe at understand why nature is important.
  295.
  296. Just like sand is a part of the earth and each grain is different, and I think most people have trouble with it is because they lack the understand of nature magic.
  297.
  298. Sand is a part of earth which is part of nature and it's a never ending cycle between the earth and it's advance magics.
  299. I think my understanding of nature will help me figure out how to compress the grains of sand into not a clay ball, but a ball that is formed of each grain.
  300.
  301. I think I'll be fine when learning such a magic...…I learn that earth magic takes a toll on the users mana, and I believe every earth magic as decent mana control.
  302.
  303. I learned the hard way when I couldn't cast back to back clay bombs."
  304.
  305. Dillion continued to write in his notebook.
  306.
  307. "Mother nature might not be the next thing I learn in my note, but some people say the best is for last and I thing that's what I'll do at the end of my studies."
  308. (Dillon Endore)
  309. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  310.
  311. [10:35] Neklous Endore says, "What a good lad. So bright at such an age. The family is surely to have a rising star soon."
  312. [10:42] Tel'evis let loose another silent yawn as he shifted where he was sat, his fingers toying with the grass he was sat on. The blonde seemed quite pleased with their little discussion and his smile only help further outline these happy features. Slowly he raised his hand up and clicked his fingers, causing the vines to slowly sink back into the floor as his eyes let loose that same pink glow.
  313.
  314. "I consider this a successful 'tea time' then!"
  315.
  316. He slowly looked at the two, adjusting lightly on the floor. The darkness of the night firmly set around them in the sea of greenery that graced their eyes. His legs crossed and the breeze returned slightly, causing the rustling sound to follow. The night was upon them, yet, here they sat in the grasp of the forest. Unharmed and unheard by all but each other.
  317.
  318. Still, nothing could last forever.
  319.
  320. Yet, it would be foolish of him not to make an offer.
  321.
  322. "Neklous. Dillion. Both of you, the Endore family."
  323.
  324. A gesture pointing to this spot followed.
  325.
  326. "If, at any point, you feel you need me...you will find me here."
  327.
  328. A pause.
  329.
  330. "Well, unless I'm wandering in town. I like to do that too."
  331. (Tel'evis Gown)

  334. [10:49] Dillion shuts his note book it seems like he filled up a good four pages full of notes he'd study later. He wasn't expecting to find magic so interesting, and yet here he was learning about earth magic, and the magic that surrounds it.
  335.
  336. "I don't know why I'm so drawn to learning about the magic it might be because my goal is to become a knight of the city now. My dream might change, but I want to be a person that others can look up to, and that help people progress just like you've both done for me."
  337.
  338. Dillion chuckles while rubbing the back of his head the young kid wasn't sure if he was jsut happy or was that really something he wanted to do.
  339.
  340. "Another dream of my is to be a hunter that helps people travel though the cave and collect rare ores. Whatever I do I just want to be know around the city for something good."
  341.
  342. Dillion legs continued to swing as the thoughts rushed into his mind.
  343.
  344. "I think starting early was the best thing for me, so when the time comes I want to focus on my dream I can give it my full attention."
  345. (Dillon Endore)
