  1. Do you think semrush data is wrong
  2. I have been checking my traffic performance against the my competitors using semrush.
  3. My alexa rank is 552409
  4. ++++++++++++++
  5. list of top cheapest host http://Listfreetop.pw
  6.
  7. Top 200 best traffic exchange sites http://Listfreetop.pw
  8.
  9. free link exchange sites list http://Listfreetop.pw
  10. list of top ptc sites
  11. list of top ptp sites
  12. Listfreetop.pw
  13. Listfreetop.pw
  14. +++++++++++++++
  15. My 1st competitors ranking - 702530
  16. Second competitors ranking - 398000
  17.
  18. While 1st has 871 backlinks,
  19. Second has 679 and mine has 227 based on semrush ..
  20.
  21. Now semrush shows in August month i have received only 340 traffic while analytics shows i have received 4.2k monthly traffic..
  22.
  23. For my 1st competitors semrush predict they have received 17k traffic and for second competitor it's 8k.
  24.
  25. I think semrush traffic data is more like depend on the number of backlinks a domain have rather than the real traffic..
  26.
  27. Did you guy have similar experience with Semrush?
  28. I don't use SEMRush but I use Ahrefs and their data traffic is a lot less than what the real sites have.
  29.
  30. For example, a site of mine does 100k visitors a month, while Ahrefs shows only 20k.
  31. All tools are wrong in a way or other, they are statistics based on what Google shows them and internal comparing scripts, they do their job but don`t expect 100% right way.
  32. I don't use SEMRush but I use Ahrefs and their data traffic is a lot less than what the real sites have.
  33.
  34. For example, a site of mine does 100k visitors a month, while Ahrefs shows only 20k.
  35. Is the 100k visitors all organic or your total visitors from all sources...?
  36.
  37. tkguru.com
  38. host n guest lawn
  39. make money app
  40. domain questions
  41. www.legagnant.com
  42. domain name search
  43. make money 3d
  44. fieldbitcoins.com
  45.
  46. if it's all organice then ahrefs is very wrong very far from the actual figure(not like we expect the exact figure),
  47. Depending on the type of research you should be using 2 o 3 tools. If you just want to know competitors links to do some kind of replication, just 1 tool might be fine
  48. If you are doing some bulk research for expiring domains, 1 tool, preferably with API would be fine
  49. But if you are trying to find some insights like you seem to be, you should try at least 2 tools, and as some have commented Semrush is not top notch in this topic. I may suggest Ahrefs/Majestic or a cheaper option like Serpstat
  50. These tools are great for many things but never count on their traffic estimates as this is based on raw data provided by search engines and so lots of variables are missing. even their backlink reports are not accurate because no one tool can ever crawl and index all website links, hell, not even Google can :)
  51. They not tracking all niche. It might be less known niche. It happened me also first time . But eventually they started to reflect .
  52. All the tools are not 100% perfect as they don't count all the variables in, much glitches in all the tools. They are good in making estimations only.
  53. SEMrush is the best SEO tool which is highly recommended by most SEO gurus, SEMrush is an all-in-one tool suite for improving online visibility
  54. The first way is pulling reports to gather data on domains and keywords in the SEMrush database
  55. Traffic metrics from Semrush base ONLY on Google positions, not on backlinks.
  56. they are all wrong, use google search console only.
  57. Search console not showing all keywords opportunities as we can find with Semrush.
  58. Search console also not showing any information about competitors, so is completely useless for professionals.
  59. In search console you not will find any historical ranking data and much more important things.
  60.
  61. In other words, GSC is for beginers, Semrush for professionals.
  62. GSC is free, Semrush with API costs $399
  63. But, you get exactly what you paid for.
  64. Traffic metrics from Semrush base ONLY on Google positions, not on backlinks.
  65. But they are absolutely wrong , whatever methods they have used.
  66. If you expect exact number - yes, all metrics are wrong.
  67. But if you know how to use it - you will get a lot of profits.
  68. And all of people who using Semrush for many years know it.
  69. Are you owner of semrush? Defending?

  73. And all of people who using Semrush for many years know it.
  74. You can't comparing results from one tool to results from second tool as you did, comparing Semrush to GA.
  75. The only problem is, that you haven't access to competitor GA stats, and here is the place where Semrush is very useful.
  76.
  77. Mentioned by you Alexa, for sites with small traffic have pretty wrong data, several times worse than mentioned Semrush.
  78. But anyway we using Alexa / SimilarWeb to get some information about competitors.
  79.
  80. Also, as I wrote to you, Semrush is for professionals, who are able to change $399 of costs in several thousand of income for an example.
  81. So, if you have single blog or small company site, there is no reason to using Semrush, because you can't even cover the costs.
  82.
  83. For this reason GSC it's enough good for You with null costs.
  84. If you'll become a professional, then you'll be able to understand why professionals use Semrush.
  85.
  86. So, your question mentioned below, haven't any sense.
  87. Are you owner of semrush? Defending?
