Lucia gritted her teeth. With a strong noise, the nearby escort ship fired at them.
The attack, however, did not crush their flesh.
Something blocked the immensely powerful cannon fire: a single right hand.
Reaching out from the side to block an unwanted guest, the completely regular boy’s
hand caught the magically launched ice cannonball and crushed it with the power of his
five fingers.
“Do it, Lucia. Promise,” he said. “If I can help, I’ll destroy as many of these bullshit
illusions as I have to. So promise her! Say it, so she knows it was a good thing she was
here! So she can believe it was worth enduring the pain!!”
