Carmen & Maddox return from Prospit

<ProcyonDM> You both eventually sleep, and awaken back where you went to bed.

* Maddox sits up on the floor and stretches
<Maddox> ((I was on the floor, Carmen was on her couch. Carmen's living room))
* Maddox checks his sylladex and strife specibus, relieved to find his stuff there.
* Carmen_Chapman groans unpleasantly as she sits up, the full magnitude of her drug overdose aftermath hitting her again
* Maddox rubs his eyes and stands up.
* Carmen_Chapman remains on the couch, facedown
<Maddox> "You alright?"
* Carmen_Chapman grumbles something unintelligible into the couch
<Maddox> "Dang."
<Maddox> "Anything I should do?"
* Carmen_Chapman rolls over with difficulty
* Carmen_Chapman opens her bloodshot eyes, wiping some dried teal blood from her nose
* Carmen_Chapman hoarsely croaks "....w-water"
* Maddox nods quickly.
<Maddox> "Yeah."
* Maddox goes into the kitchen, scouring it for a clean glass, filling it with water, and returning
* Carmen_Chapman taXe the glass of water gratefully and drinX is quickly
<Maddox> "Here"
* Maddox hands it to Carmen
* Carmen_Chapman heavily sets the empty glass down on the floor and sits up
<Carmen_Chapman> "...thanX"
* Maddox nods again
* Carmen_Chapman reaches out a hand to MaddoX to help her up
* Maddox takes it, helping her up
* Carmen_Chapman stands
* Carmen_Chapman walks around the room slowly to get her bearinga nd balance
* Carmen_Chapman heaves a sigh before shuffling into the kitchen and roughly opening the battered refrigerator door
* Carmen_Chapman rummages around before grabbing out some meat of some sort and eating it quickly and messily
* Carmen_Chapman heads over to the table and sits down with a dull thud
<Carmen_Chapman> "Soooooo..... what now?"
<Carmen_Chapman> "Everythin still suX... kinda"
<Maddox> "Yeah."
<Maddox> "I need to get daily hygene done - mind if I use your toiletries and deal with that?"
* Carmen_Chapman nods
* Maddox goes and figures that out for 20 minutes or so, coming back clean.
* Carmen_Chapman stands up and shuffles over to the stairs
* Carmen_Chapman points out her bathroom and shower
* Carmen_Chapman sits on the floor outside while MaddoX taXe care of business
* Maddox eventually finishes, and exits.

<Maddox> "Yeah. Thanks."
* Carmen_Chapman pulls herself to her feed and heads back downstairs to her dad's conference room

* Carmen_Chapman runs her hand along the shining mahogany table before sitting in one of the plush seats
<Maddox> "So, I guess we have to figure out what we are going to do now."

<Carmen_Chapman> "...sorry Im bein so shitty n boring"
<Maddox> "You're not in great shape. It's fine."
* Maddox sits down, holding his head up with his hands, thinking
<Carmen_Chapman> "theres this place that I wanted to show u"
<Carmen_Chapman> "the surprise I told u bout before"
<Maddox> "Oh yeah."
<Maddox> "Before everything happened."
* Carmen_Chapman nods
<Carmen_Chapman> "Idk if it really matters anymore"
<Maddox> "Hey, its better than nothing."
<Maddox> "Otherwise, all we have to do is kill monsters to protect the populace."
* Carmen_Chapman makes a grumble noise
<Carmen_Chapman> "You met Myke Byson yet?"
<Carmen_Chapman> "Hes p chill"
<Maddox> "Not yet."
<Maddox> "You sent me a picture though."
* Carmen_Chapman swivels in her chair for a bit before finally getting up
* Carmen_Chapman heads out the front door, sighing at all the burnt stuff on the front of the house and the broken turrets

* Maddox follows

* Carmen_Chapman runs up to him to give him a bit fuzzy hug

<Maddox> "Woah, he trusts you."

<Maddox> "I'd probably just scare him off as soon as I got close."
* Carmen_Chapman gestures for MaddoX to approach slowly
<Carmen_Chapman> "Jus come up real slow"
<Carmen_Chapman> "Idk how long Ive been hangin out with him"
<ProcyonDM> he [bisonnoises] peacefully
<Carmen_Chapman> "Met him after I left the circus sooo..... a while?"
<Carmen_Chapman> "Idk"
<ProcyonDM> whinnies maybe? says here its a bunch of grunts
* Carmen_Chapman checks on the wound
* Maddox approaches. Very, very slowly.
<Carmen_Chapman> "Fought some stuff together too so we got each others baX!"
* Maddox smiles briefly

* Carmen_Chapman pats him reassuringly

* Maddox just kind of stands nearby

* Maddox Watches Myke for a while.
* Maddox also, out of paranoia, looks around every once in a while.

<ProcyonDM> within the compound, youre in a pretty good place to survey all
<ProcyonDM> you wont get ambushed here
* Carmen_Chapman gestures to MaddoX again
<Carmen_Chapman> "Cmon! Hes nice."
* Maddox very slowly approaches Myke, attempting a tiny pet. Or brush. Giant fur-hair being a thing and all
<ProcyonDM> he certinaly doesnt object
<ProcyonDM> hes a chill dude, and accepts the pet with graciousness
* Maddox relaxes a bit, petting a bit more.

<Carmen_Chapman> "U dont have to be all friggin up tight all the time dude Myke is great"

<Maddox> "It's kind of hard. Every other large non-human I've seen has been actively trying to kill me..."

* Maddox frowns a bit at his own words before going back to a smile.

<Maddox> "Um, how do I go about getting up top? You got a ladder or something, or should I attempt to jump-climb?"

<Carmen_Chapman> "Dont wanna freak him out"
<Carmen_Chapman> "Gotta get my super dope wagon too!!!"
<ProcyonDM> he continues to look with big eyes
<Carmen_Chapman> "Im just like one a those pioneers!!!"
* Carmen_Chapman grins widely, jumping up and down a little bit with the beat of the land
* Maddox laughs a bit

* Carmen_Chapman quickly runs up to her garage to get her covered wagon
* Maddox follows to help pull it if needed
<Maddox> "Need help getting it out, or can you captchalogue it?"
* Carmen_Chapman leaves the garage pulling what looX like a normal stereotypical red wagon, but full of a bunch of stuff with a tarp wrapped around the top with twine to hold it in place
<Carmen_Chapman> "No I got it Im not that much of a wimp!"
<Maddox> "I guess that works!"
<Maddox> "Thought you for some reason had some crazy amount of woodworking ability."
<Carmen_Chapman> (It doesn't really look like a pioneer covered wagon, not to mention it's WAY smaller, but it is technically a covered wagon.)
<Carmen_Chapman> "Hahaha I could never make something that crazy!"
<Carmen_Chapman> "Maybe if I had like a whole year or somethin"
* Carmen_Chapman returns with the wagon

<Carmen_Chapman> "If Myke doesnt let u up on top guess u can just like... sit on top of that thingy behind us?"
* Carmen_Chapman can't help but laugh at the idea
* Carmen_Chapman ties the end of the rope attached to the wagon's black handle around her wrist
<Maddox> "That would be pretty funny."
* Carmen_Chapman climbs/hops up on to Myke's back
<Carmen_Chapman> "Like this!"
* Maddox attempts to replicate Carmen's Myke Mounting Feat

* Carmen_Chapman tugs on the rope attached to her wrist to make sure the wagon is pulled behind okay

* Maddox activates four telekinetic instances to manage the rope
<Maddox> "Now monsters cant just hop on for the ride and pull us off!"
* Carmen_Chapman looX a bit surprised
<Carmen_Chapman> "Oh"
<Carmen_Chapman> "I never thought of that!"
* Maddox nods a tiny bit
<ProcyonDM> Myke grunts
<Carmen_Chapman> "Lets gooo then!"
<Carmen_Chapman> "Off to the thingy!"
* Carmen_Chapman points Myke in the direction of where they went before to the pyramid

* Maddox starts laughing suddenly
<Maddox> "We're actually doing something fun for once!"
* Carmen_Chapman closes her eyes tightly for a moment in discomfort as a pang of her headache lashes out again
* Carmen_Chapman opens them again
* Carmen_Chapman smiles

* Carmen_Chapman points off at the large tent area
<Maddox> "Seriously. No fog, no cold, no metal everything!

* Carmen_Chapman there's this village thing with an eyepatch dude over there
* Carmen_Chapman points back at the tent

<Maddox> "Oh yeah! You sent me those pictures."

<Maddox> "Yeah. Beats Ember's desert and my foggy steel by a lot."

<ProcyonDM> You arrive at one corner of the large pyramid
<Maddox>  "Holy crap!"

<Maddox> "This is super cool!"
<Carmen_Chapman> "Just wait til u get inside!"
<Maddox> "You found the entrance?"
<Carmen_Chapman> "Yeah its like over here around the corner somewhere I dont remember Xactly where"
<Carmen_Chapman> "U can get all the way to the top!!!"
