- [00:41] Kofe approaches the King in a rather wobbly manner, unable to walk in a straight line as the smell of burnt flesh follows him. And comes from him, too. Scorch marks at his right fingertips suggest much.
- "We gotta talk. It's real important."
- He paused for a moment, deciding that hiding the next few words was pointless. He might as well say them.
- "Ilburg needs your help, else Esshar's gonna need a miracle."
- (Kofe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:45] Moserah decides to spill the beans, to shed additional light on what Kofe was saying since she personally thought it didn't really get across the urgency of the situation, or the importance.
- "So.", she claps her hands together, a bit of blood oozing out from her horrific burns on the left palm, "Ow..."
- "Ilburg is sitting on an egg-timer. For those not aware, as I've explained to Kofe, it's a glass jar you tip upside-down to count for how long your eggs need to boil in hot water...Er- It's sitting on an egg-timer."
- Moserah gestures to her own injuries that thankfully weren't permanent but very smelly, burnt and horrible to look at, "We just prevented a massive disaster, Weiss was onto something. There's spirits beneath Ilburg."
- "Not the good kind. The really nasty, red-eyed, can tear you in half sort. We killed one. But there's a huge swarm. I can't even tell you howmany there are down there because I doubt the scholars have even invented a number to count how many monsters are down there."
- (Moserah Hayussuin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:48] Alexander looks Kofe over, noticing each of the burns, scorch marks, otherwise. The words cause pause but not an urgent response until Moserah explains and his gaze, almost scrutinising falls upon her.
- "How long is there?"
- And. Then a once over them. "Have your wounds been tended to?"
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:51] Ophelia blinked, seeming confused at first by the sudden entrance of the pair of Rhoynish. Stepping forward, the woman glanced between Kofe and then to Moserah.
- Her words were... Not good. Nasty red-eyed spirits? An eyebrow rose in question,
- "... I don't think I've ever really heard of such spirits but - is there any clue who put them there, then? Is it the work of a witch perhaps?"
- (Ophelia Soleis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:53] "Ehh?"
- As the two Rhoynish enter he looks with a raising brow. They'd ask for the attention of those here, and he wonders why.
- And then he hears it.
- Moving forwards as the other do, his eyes are wider than before and he grins. To hear about evil spirits beneath Ilburg soon to break out and plague Esshar?
- So many exciting things had been happening lately! Just as he'd been hoping for!
- Alexander asks what he is curious of, so he remains quiet.
- (Uhli)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:58] He'd let pass the mention of his wounds not being tended to, obviously. There were more pressing matters in his eyes after all.
- "Not too long. What remained of one of our ancestors— a spirit that we freed from being cursed into a lost soul gave everything that remained of itself to form a barrier and hold back what was in there, burried deep, deep under Ilburg."
- He paused for a moment, giving a bit of precision on Moserah's explanation.
- "A city. Filled to the brim with wraiths and nethradins. They all came from a rip into Helheim that was dug there long, long ago. A machine like nothing I've never seen, bigger than the dojo itself and able to dig deeper than any other place.
- From what I caught, Njorun — yes, the primordial — closed off that city where the rip was back when he still walked Esshar. He fought them all off on his own, according to... the paintings and the stories we saw.
- They were freed by that giant machine when it started digging in places it shouldn't."
- He took in a deep breath, yellow eyes settling upon Alexander's. A serious gaze was offered, just as serious as when he had made that crazy request about Alice.
- "Caleb Pelleux, an Osronan scholar and nobleman read about our ruins. He brought men and machine back in those times, and set it all off. That spirit that sacrificed himself — Missell — put a seal on the area and stopped time to contain the Nethradin. When the seal was broken, they came at us. We took care of one, and took care of the machine, but... All that remains is however long Missell can hold them back."
- The mention of the machine being Osronan was on purpose, obviously. It brought responsability of both their parties in the matter.
- (Kofe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:04] "Kofe is telling the truth. I even had to dive up and destroy the machine after we had barely and I mean barely got a chance to put it down.", Moserah didn't need to speak further on the matter, Kofe had covered all that needed to be said; with their attention gripped, they got given the details.
- "Not to say that it's any side's fault entirely; these are things that happened way past the previous and current generation. This is probably ancient history. None of us knew about this; not you, not the people in Myllenoris. It was all but forgotten.", Moserah steps to the side, nodding at her fellow Rhoynish kin member, "But it was an Osronan machine, it spun and dug at the earth, trying to reach deeper and deeper. Missell was one of our ancestors, he put a stop to it."
- The Rhoynish girl couldn't stress enough how serious this was, even if her explanations or words came out in some less than serious manner, her tone stated otherwise.
- "It's less about the time we have remaining and more what we can all do to prepare. Trying to incite wars against one another, whilst we have a situation like this brewing below Ilburg? It might be just Ilburg's problem right now, but give it what? Weeks? Months? Years if we are lucky and it'll be the entire country's issue."
- "Those wraiths will be everywhere."
- (Moserah Hayussuin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:13] The Petrakis King does not understand it all from words alone but very few at his age would. It was a serious matter though, that much he did understand and bits and pieces start to come together. But, at the end of it, Alexander seems resolute on a solution. It came easy, in this scenario.
- "Osrona was already going to meet with Illburg. As was Myllenoris, offering peace."
- "Tell Penelope to pull out of the upcoming battle. You will need Myllenoris on your side," it seemed almost appropriate given the condition of these rhoynish. It is said with clear conviction. It would go along way to getting others help.
- "After we are done defending against Theria, we will work on this issue. I am going to start informing the people I know. Ophelia, can you pass the message onto Lord Grimmore?"
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:17] She dipped her head to the side, nodding,
- "Of course. I'll tell him everything. I'll leave at once."
- (Ophelia Soleis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:17] Alexander rei Petrakis says, "Thank you, Ophelia."
- [01:17] Ophelia Soleis says, "Of course! It's what I do."
- [01:17] Alexander rei Petrakis asks, "Now, do you have any proof, anything, Kofe?"
- [01:17] Moserah Hayussuin says, "...We do actually."
- [01:22] "I'm not sure we'll be able to convince them to pull out on such short notice. Not us, at least. You might. I know my mom was willing to meet with you already, so..."
- Kofe shook his head a bit, breathing out.
- ".. This is the kinda deal you'll need to King-it-out for. Send a real Osronan envoy and an emergency request before it all breaks out. I don't see us two managing that when there's no guarantee. Even with the current state of things; Penelope's only one woman. The rest are all riled up and ready to fight."
- He was honest. He knew his own limitations and the way that it went with his last talk about peace with her. There was... no chance. Not from him.
- "We've got plenty of proof. The place for one. Our injuries for two. And... some remains of a dark thing that we picked up along the way, if you can't trust my word. We picked up a few other things along the way but I doubt Nyeshk is proof enough."
- The young man looked up towards the ceiling. Oh god. Dizzy.
- ".. I should've listened to Alice and gotten checked out." He mutters to himself.
- (Kofe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:25] Moserah pulls out some of the Nyeshk plating they salvaged from the destroyed drill; it looked pretty dinged up but it could have been taken from anywhere.
- "That's the problem; mercenaries and people prepared to throw their coins down in the battle have likely already set off to the forward camps if there are any. That isn't to say we've tried to make sure things change, Penny has been less stubborn about talks; but that's mostly thanks to Kofe."
- Moserah scratches the back of her head, only to grimace; she smelled awfully bad and she just like Kofe needed to see a medical professional.
- "I can look at your wounds but I'm not very tip-top shape myself, Kofe."
- (Moserah Hayussuin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:38] Alexander almost scowls at that, clear frustration forms on his face. His brows lock together and a hard stare sits on Kofe and the woman behind him, before it shifts.
- "Ophelia, if you are willing one of these two will escort you to Illburg. Tell Penelope I told her to pull out of the upcoming battle. I will write a letter if it makes it easier."
- His eyes move once again, almost a glare. Alexander's expression settles and steps carry him forward. A hand outstretched for Moserah and his fingers curl. The air starts to slow, green magic expels from his palms, and the faint ticking of a clock can be heard. Whispers leave the King's lips and then fade..
- Faint traces of green come to take hold of the wounds Moserah was holding. Then as if they were being healed, they close, the burns start to soften, third degree to first, and time unwounds. It leaves her with mere twinges of burns across her skin. "You can take care of the rest."
- "Bring the proof to the meeting. I will send a letter when we hold it. And," his eyes focus on the two of them, meeting their gaze.
- "Do not join the battle. That is an order."
- The King walks off, "Uhli, with me. Ophelia, take care and be safe."
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:42] Ophelia for her own part, was completely silent, and it was only when her name was said did she offer a simple nod. While she held little fear venturing to Ilburg on her own, having a Rhoynish along with her certainly didn't hurt anything.
- If nothing else, it helped!
- "I'll speak with her. If she requires a letter I'll return and let you know; but I have a feeling no letter will be required given everything these people have gone through." She said with a nod. "If Kofe and his friend are alright to travel, they can both come with me, I suppose... I'll set out as soon as Kofe is healed up properly, Alexander. I'll try to be as safe as possible!"
- (Ophelia Soleis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:43] A proper decision like a proper King. Alexander really was taking the mantle of such more and more each day. While Kofe wasn't sure if Penelope would part with that piece of evidence, he knew just what to ask.
- "You'll give it back when you've got proof, right?"
- He knew that saying no to such would just cause more issues. Hopefully Alexander could understand, too.
- "'Cause.. I know my mom. And that piece of whatever's hers. So long as it's just a proof she should be fine lending it."
- (Kofe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:45] The Rhoynish girl didn't know what the King was capable of, but today she got a glimpse; a helpful glimpse. Time magic was truly fantastic and within seconds, Moserah could feel what was once quite deeply seared within her flesh being undone. It was refreshing but not like that of a tall glass of water; Mose couldn't describe it, but she reacted.
- "...Huah, that really helped, thanks.", no longer did Mose smell like well done steak! Nor were her flesh as darkened from the horrific fights that took place only hours ago.
- "And I have no intentions on joining the fight. I've got better things to do than fight wars which have no soul in them.", the order however did spark a slight negative reaction despite the help given, "I mean no offense of course, I like to remain as free as a bird should, wars nail you down, that ain't good."
- Moserah places a hand on Kofe's shoulder and nods at him, "I can patch you up now, shouldn't take more than a few minutes."
- (Moserah Hayussuin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:49] Alexander nods to Ophelia, "Thank you, Ophelia."
- He looks over Moserah at her reaction and continues walking. Only offering a brief. "Good." At not wishing to join the fight.
- And then a glance over to Kofe, just as he is on his way out.
- "All she has to do is show us it at the meeting. I doubt we will need to touch it if it is that obvious," he responds. He did not see any reason why anyone in Osrona or Myllenoris would want such a piece of dark matter.
- And with that, he was gone.
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
