- The life of an officer
- As Esmerelda Jones walked into the Arcadia Bay Police department, she was feeling a bit tired since being an officer was such a tough job. She did have to arrest a couple of criminals at the bank recently, and during that fight with the criminals, it was tough. She knew that with these incidents going on in Oregon, she knew that there was going to be more cases regarding crime and other happenings that were going to be more chaotic or taking a turn for the worst.
- She sighed as she walked into the meeting where she saw Officer Berry and other policemen. The meeting on that very day was going to be about the further investigation of Rachel since her disappearance, which happened since April. She hoped that this meeting will give out further information since the case got opened about a month ago, and there had to be more information.
- To this day, she was shocked to hear a young lady, like Rachel being gone for so long and as an officer, she could do her best to get her back to her family before something happened. As she was hearing the chief's words regarding the disappearance, Esmerelda felt nothing but shock and horror, but at the same time, hoped for new information. "In conclusion, in honor of the Arcadia Bay Police Department", there will be a continuous search on her. Although so far, we had found no suspects as of yet, we'll still do our search." She was hearing the other officers talking about what they found at the Vortex Club, as that place was the last time she was found before her disappearance.
- She did remember the first meeting of this opening case, and she was still shocked to hear that there was still no suspects. "Sir, although this case was opened for a month, how come no suspects? This does not make any sense." She asked, with a sigh. "No one knows yet, Officer Jones. We are still working on it, and I have to say, as a woman cop, you have a big heart, and we respect women like you." As she heard that compliment, she nodded, and looked at her notes.
- All she known so far from her notes was that Rachel was a 4.0 student and attended Blackwell Academy, and the first thing she did last time was interview a couple of students from the school, and all she did remember was seeing some sad faces, and she did assume that Rachel was pretty popular back in the school. "Why would a pretty girl like her disappear?" She thought to herself as the meeting was coming to a close.
- During her coffee break in the break room, she did hear a couple of officers mentioning that if there was going to be no suspects, they would have to close the case, and she grumbled on that silently. She did sigh, as she knew that this case was going to be tougher than the last couple of crimes she had to face in the past weeks on her own. This was an investigation of a girl who does not deserve to be in danger. As soon as she was getting out of the building, she got into her car, and knew that there had to be suspects or even witnesses of the disappearance.
- While driving back to the neighborhood to interview more people, she looked at the posters and gave out a look of determination, thinking that most suspects are going to be denial. She did continue to drive around the area and was trying to find the Vortex Club, the place on where she was last seen, before the disappearance. Although this location was a place of partying at night, she knew that someone either had to drug or do something serious to her, but didn't want to jump the shark just yet. She didn't get much answers last time she was there, so, she decided to go there a second time, hoping there would be more answers. She walked inside and it was pretty empty at the moment, since it was still daytime. "Better come back later tonight." She thought to herself, and drove back to her room and sat in her chair.
- She sighed to herself, hoping that Rachel's case was not going to be resulting in a death. "We'll find you Rachel. I just know it." She said, as she looked at the missing poster that she saw from her window, and she still had that look of determination on her face. Although this search was going to be a tough one, she knew that one way or another, the department would have to find her.
