Four Fates Under the Southern Sun 3.5, Session 15

Ukurdiel investigated the backside of the granary and Ashig pens, and found them to both connect to an underground sewer system, and to nearly connect aboveground on the rooftops.

Alasdair questioned Enzo. During his questioning, he found out that Enzo was quite tired of Tveria's intrusion into the Koshkas family. Enzo spoke of the tight hold Tveria had on his master, and pleaded with the party to put an end to it. He seemed to be conflicted morally about this, but in his heart knew his decision to be the right one.

Additionally, Enzo mentioned Giancarlos's sister, Matisse, was sent away.

He cautioned the party that his master was fully devoted to his Ashig, and would likely lay down his life for her. How oddly prophetic his words would be.

Enzo offered two possible solutions. One was to accept the invitation to stay overnight, spring the trap, and overtake Tveria. The other was to intrude upon Tveria and Giancarlos's 'alone time' at 3:30 in the afternoon. Furthermore, he invented the cover story of 'They just pushed past me', and using his advanced age as an excuse.

The party discussed their plan of action, and decided to ambush them during their alone time.

Enzo appeared apprehensive, but made the arrangements. The gate appeared to be broken into. Emilia trailed behind the rest and executed their prisoner.

Moving on ahead, Enzo led them to the false wall on the second floor near the bedrooms.

Enzo departed to the first floor and presumably faked an injury.

The party entered the room and found Giancarlos in a compromising position.

They confronted Tveria, who put up a fight, but not enough of one to gravely endanger the party.

She yielded when she was badly hurt.

Alasdair gave her an ultimatum. Slay Giancarlos and we will let you go free.

She hesitated, and genuinely seemed torn. Tveria explained how her entire life had led up to the position she currently is in, and how she wishes freedom for her people. Furthermore, she explained she had an egg that was Giancarlos's, and she intended to get the bastard legitimized before being rid of him.

Despite her confliction, she attempted to slay him - and failed to do so.

The bloody mess she made and the wounded Giancarlos made her change her mind.

Ukurdiel and Alasdair figuratively and literally grappled over the proper course of action, while Emilia cast a poison spell and finished the job.

The party allowed Tveria to leave and discussed their next course of action.

Meanwhile, they heard a scuffle from downstairs.

They went to investigate, and found Enzo's lifeless body, sapped of life using the same magics Tveria attempted to use on them. The Ashig was gone - likely swam away, as Ashig are capable swimmers, like all serpents.

A bit troubled and confused by this predicament, they left the estate. They bided their time until midnight, and made their way to the Vatatzes estate, to rendezvous with Jucika.
