Computing and programming have been a hobby of mine for over a decade now, and these skills have allowed me to become a troubleshooter for most all computer related issues friends and family have had. I have experience with building computers, installing and managing operating systems, writing code to automate tasks in Excel and working IT support as work experience with the company Integra Digital. I am also currently working towards an AWS Developer Associate course through the website Udemy.

My main work experience has been in customer service: working as a Rides Host at Adventure Island, Customer Assistant with Tesco's and working in the kitchen and bar at Diablos, Swansea. These roles required me to use my initiative to complete the tasks at hand in busy and unpredictable environments, both individually and in teams. Working as a Rides Host was the most challenging job, having a number of health and safety regulations to uphold as well as providing a high level of customer service in an outgoing and friendly manner while being scored on my attitude and personal interactions with customers.

In a group scenario I have been able to effectively manage large groups of people, such as leading a presentation to Southend Council and my voluntary work as a Young Leader within the Scout Association. More recently I have been working as Treasurer for 10th Southend Scout Group, collating receipts and balancing their accounts every quarter.

In my personal time I play guitar and keyboard, work on personal programming and electronics projects and perform at local open mic nights playing, singing and reading poetry. These have helped develop my confidence and interpersonal skills I have built up from my previous job roles.

Being an ex-pupil of SHSB, I have a good knowledge of the school grounds and how it operates day in day out. I also believe I can bring a student focused perspective to the role when helping to advise and work with students.
