  1. [ONE] Minion of Ares
  2. ----------------------
  3.
  4. >It was time.
  5. >Your suit was activating.
  6. >Something was wrong, or it was finally time for you to do your part for Rapture.
  7. >Well, what was left of it.
  8. >Whoever commissioned you needed ADAM, which caused them to need a little sister by proxy.
  9. >And you were to protect them at all costs.
  10. >You shook your head as best you could, and opened your eyes.
  11. >
  12. >This wasn't how you remembered Rapture.
  13. >Rapture didn't have caves, it was a city.
  14. >How long have you been in stasis?
  15. >You look around to examine your cave, activating the helmet lights to see better in the darkness.
  16. >This is not good.
  17. >
  18. >You have a job to do; you'd better get to it.
  19. >Who knows how desperately you're needed if part of the city has collapsed!
  20. >Checking your drill as you make your way out of the cave, you cause a bit of noise.
  21. >Something else made noise back at you.
  22. >You stopped your heavy walk and turned around to find...
  23. >Well, you don't know what you'd call it.
  24. >It looked like a lion had gotten the bitter end of a splicer.
  25. >On top of having the major features of a lion, it had a scorpion's tail and wings.
  26. >Is it going to cause you any trouble?
  27. >Was this its nest?
  28. >
  29. >Doesn't matter.
  30. >You've got to find a little sister.
  31. >If you're protecting a little sister, you're doing Rapture good.
  32. >You turned to head out of the cave, only to hear the beast growl.
  33. >Ignore and carry on. You've done it no--
  34. >The solid thud of it attempting to tackle you startled you, but didn't do much in terms of damage.
  35. >It obviously didn't know what you were or what you were capable of.
  36.
  37. ----------------------
  38.
  39. >You turned around to face it once more.
  40. >It was backing up and shaking its head, growling the entire time.
  41. >After it had regained focus, it charged at you again.
  42. >This time however, it stopped right before you and started jabbing at your suit with its tail.
  43. >The tail did nothing against your armor of course.
  44. >Dancing with this dumb beast was getting old; you needed to get to a little sister and find what had become of Rapture.
  45. >You reared back with your fist and gave the beast a good strike to the head.
  46. >Shouldn't be lethal and should get the message through its thick skull.
  47. >
  48. >Maybe you hit it a little hard.
  49. >It was still breathing, but you'd knocked it the fuck out.
  50. >You don't need to kill, it was just an animal.
  51. >So long as it doesn't get up and try something again, it'll be fine.
  52. >You resumed your trek to the outside world.
  53. >
  54. >It was nighttime, and you appeared to be in a valley of some kind.
  55. >Looking around, you spotted a city etched into the side of a mountain.
  56. >Strange.
  57. >You recalled Rapture being underwater.
  58. >No matter, the city must be what has become of Rapture. Logical enough.
  59. >As you started your journey towards the city, you noticed the distinct lack of splicers coming after you.
  60. >Sure they knew not to mess with a Big Daddy, but there was always one that would try.
  61. >Killing splicers would protect other little sisters, so if you found any, they'd get a swift drill to the skull.
  62. >
  63. >That was something else that seemed odd to you.
  64. >Aside from Rapture being moved to a mountain.
  65. >The distinct lack of other Big Daddies.
  66.
  67. ----------------------
  68.
  69. >You were stored in a case along with five other Big Daddies, so where were they?
  70. >Why was your pod alone?
  71. >Too many questions.
  72. >Find a little sister, and you'll need not worry about silly questions like that.
  73. >
  74. >Eventually, you happened upon what looked to be a shack of some kind.
  75. >It looked like a barn, but after volunteering to be a Big Daddy, you weren't too clear on anything non-Rapture.
  76. >You decided that it would be a suitable place to inspect your suit.
  77. >After securing the wooden structure, you began the simple task of banging your drill against your metallic suit.
  78. >Anything that sounded off needed to be mended or replaced.
  79. >Luckily though, everything seemed fine.
  80. >These things were built to last, that was for sure.
  81. >You probably should've checked as soon as you came out of stasis.
  82. >Oh well, everything was fine anyway.
  83. >
  84. >You found a little cubby to settle down in and let your suit charge.
  85. >It wouldn't take terribly long to do so, but your body needed to re-adjust to the suit after being in stasis.
  86. >Maybe a four hour nap or so?
  87. >After that, you wouldn't need to sleep again for another 36 hours.
  88. >Miracles of modern science.
  89. >
  90. >You were awoken by the sounds of a little sister playing.
  91. >
  92. >A little sister!
  93. >
  94. >You rose to your feet to find the girl.
  95. >As you stepped out of your cubby, you realized that the sounds were of three little sisters, all playing together.
  96. >Great joy!
  97. >Perhaps there's another Big Daddy around?
  98. >As you moved towards the sounds, they ceased.
  99. >Oh?
  100. >Was something wrong?
  101. >You opened the doors you'd shut previously to find... three little horses?
  102.
  103. ----------------------
  104.
  105. >What is this?
  106. >There was an orange horse, a white horse, and a yellow horse.
  107. >All of them about the size of a little sister, but shared no similarities beyond that.
  108. >Have you really been in stasis for so long that evolution had taken such a drastic shift?
  109. >That would explain why Rapture didn't appear as you recalled...
  110. >Guess these must be the little sisters of this new species.
  111. >At least one was wearing a bow similar to a little sister, so you directed your attention to it.
  112. >None of the sisters made any sort of movement, they only stared at you.
  113. >What was wrong? Had they not been taught of their roles for Rapture?
  114. >No matter, they need to be back in the city anyway.
  115. >What if a splicer had followed them?
  116. >You let out the standard gentle low growl to let them know you were here to help.
  117. >
  118. >Then they all screamed and ran in different directions.
  119. >Was it something you did?
  120. >The yellow one with the bow ran to the barn behind you, the other two running off towards the forest.
  121. >If you can protect the yellow one from whatever scared them, maybe you can find the others later.
  122. >You turned to find the barn door had been shut after the sister ran inside.
  123. >
  124. >Was she wanting to play a game perhaps?
  125. >This was neither the time nor the place!
  126. >There was no time for fooling around; a splicer might be on the prowl.
  127. >You tried to open the door, only to find it locked.
  128. >Okay then.
  129. >You spun your drill up and smashed through the feeble barricade.
  130. >The yellow sister was on the other side, brandishing a horrified expression.
  131. >After she saw you break through the door, she screamed again and ran off to a cubby.
  132.
  133. ----------------------
  134.
  135. >Once again, she repeated the process of locking the little door that served as an entrance to the cubby.
  136. >Once more, you promptly disassembled it.
  137. >Game over little one, it's time for you to get back to Rapture.
  138. >She was cowering in a corner; something obviously terrifying her.
  139. >Don't worry little one, you're safe now.
  140. >Why didn't these suits have speakers?
  141. >
  142. >You began reaching for the little sister, and she cried out.
  143. >"Please don't hurt me! I won't never come near your barn again, just please don't hurt me!"
  144. >Hurt you?
  145. >You were here to protect her!
  146. >Whatever startled this poor girl had confused her beyond reason.
  147. >You picked up the trembling sister, and she began crying profusely.
  148. >After you adjusted her carefully in your gloved arm, you looked down at her.
  149. >Letting out the gentle growl again, you did your best to assure her she was safe with you.
  150. >This only seemed to encourage her to cry more.
  151. >Poor thing, best get her back to Rapture and calm her down.
  152. >
  153. >You resumed your journey to the city once more, this time with a little sister to protect.
  154. >
  155. >Eventually, the terrified girl ceased crying, and was shivering in your arm.
  156. >Don't worry child, all will be well soon.
  157. >"Wha--where are you taking me?"
  158. >You wished you could answer.
  159. >She should know though, it was the only city for miles.
  160. >Last you heard, at any rate.
  161. >You looked down to her, and then gazed back to Rapture.
  162. >She apparently followed your gaze and questioned "Canterlot?"
  163. >Canterlot?
  164. >No no, this was Rapture.
  165.
  166. ----------------------
  167.
  168. >She ceased her shivering and questioning after she figured out you were taking her home.
  169. >It would be safer there, you knew it.
  170. >
  171. >Quite a few hours later, night was falling once more.
  172. >Your newly acquired little sister was squirming in your arm, presumably trying to get out and lay down.
  173. >Sorry little one, you'll have to make due where you are.
  174. >No time to slow down right now.
  175. >The journey was taking long enough as is.
  176. >
  177. >She was resisting sleeping quite a bit, squirming as much as possible.
  178. >Eventually though, she gave up and ceased her escape attempts.
  179. >Good.
  180. >Maybe when she wakes up she'll calm down a little.
  181. >
  182. >A few more uneventful hours later, and the sun was once more rising.
  183. >Just in time too, you were almost to Rapture!
  184. >You could see the streets from here!
  185. >Strange though, there appeared to be some sort of pinkish barrier around the city.
  186. >Something you hadn't noticed before.
  187. >After you were close enough, you tried to walk through it only to startle your delicate sister awake.
  188. >"Aaah! What're you tryin' ta do? Listen, why don't you just--"
  189. >Silly girl, thinking you didn't know how to get into Rapture.
  190. >Some things never change, little one.
  191. >You revved up your drill, and began piercing the barrier.
  192. >Sure enough, it began to give away and you slipped through the small opening.
  193. >Took a bit more effort than you'd expected, but you made it through.
  194. >Must be some new technology that had been created while you were in stasis.
  195. >Looking around, you must be at the rear of the city.
  196. >No sign of other Big Daddies or sisters.
  197.
  198. ----------------------
  199.
  200. >But there was activity.
  201. >You moved out to the streets to find more horses.
  202. >Strange that humanity would turn to an equestrian species, but whatever.
  203. >You didn't know how long you'd been in stasis.
  204. >Spotting a castle gate a short distance away, you started heading for it.
  205. >Must be the city center, right?
  206. >Why else would it have extra defenses?
  207. >That would be where you would find other Big Daddies.
  208. >Find out what was going on.
  209. >And finally let this poor thing rest where she belongs.
  210. >As you made your way towards the gate, you noticed other horses on the streets.
  211. >All of them gawking at you.
  212. >You must be an outdated model or something.
  213. >Not long after you started walking towards the gatehouse, did they start screaming and running off the streets.
  214. >Good.
  215. >You didn't know if they were splicers or not, and you didn't want to find out.
  216. >You just wanted your little yellow sister to be safe.
  217. >She would be safe in the city center.
  218. >Things are not always so simple though, as new horses appeared wearing what appeared to be armor.
  219. >At least, it was metallic like armor. Didn't look sturdy though.
  220. >"STOP WHERE YOU ARE. RELEASE THE FILLY, AND BACK AWAY."
  221. >What was the meaning of this?
  222. >They should know you only take orders from City Central.
  223. >...
  224. >Maybe that wasn't armor.
  225. >Maybe they were splicers.
  226. >You let out a warning growl, and slowly continued your walk towards Central.
  227. >"STOP NOW OR WE WILL TAKE ACTION."
  228. >You growled again, but did not stop moving.
  229. >"Please! Just lemme go!"
  230. >You knew little ones were eager, but you held onto her more securely than ever.
  231.
  232. ----------------------
  233.
  234. >You wouldn't feel comfortable until she was looked at by Central.
  235. >She needed a doctor or a psychologist perhaps.
  236. >As you continued your march, the metallic clad horses began shooting at you with...
  237. >Their horns?
  238. >They must be splicers!
  239. >You let out a roar, revved your drill, and charged full speed towards Central.
  240. >Any splicer stupid enough to get in your way would get a nasty surprise.
  241. >
  242. >They seemed to figure that out and ran from your path.
  243. >Good.
  244. >Little Sister first, splicers later.
  245. >
  246. >You finally made it to the gate, and stopped your drill to knock.
  247. >It was only then that you realized the yellow sister was shivering and clutching your arm tightly.
  248. >Don't worry little one, you're safe.
  249. >You'd make sure of that.
  250. >
  251. >You turned around and saw that the splicers were regrouping and heading for you once more.
  252. >This was going to get messy.
  253. >You banged your drill against the gate once more in hopes of a response, but none came.
  254. >Of course!
  255. >They must want you to dispose of the splicers before the open the gates!
  256. >Makes sense.
  257. >You placed the yellow sister down between you and the gate, and held up your hand motioning her to stay put.
  258. >She only curled up in a ball and started crying.
  259. >
  260. >Oooohh, these stupid splicers were going to get it for scaring her.
  261.
  262. ----------------------
  263.
  264. >You turned to face the group of splicer horses that were giving you trouble.
  265. >There were six in total. Four that had horns and two that were flying above them.
  266. >You flipped your suit into aggressive mode.
  267. >You drill was now constantly running, and you could run faster.
  268. >You'd need to recharge if you stayed aggressive too long, but you weren't too concerned about that.
  269. >One more warning you fucking splicers, then it's all or nothing.
  270. >The bellow of your roar made the aggressors falter a bit.
  271. >Clearly Rapture was in desperate need of Big Daddies, the splicers had grown too accustom to getting away with whatever they wanted.
  272. >No worry, you would teach them a lesson.
  273. >
  274. >The group did falter, but they did not leave as they should've.
  275. >Sometimes you just have to do things the hard way.
  276. >
  277. >You roared again and charged full speed at one of the splicers on the ground.
  278. >"OPEN FIRE!"
  279. >As if they didn't try that already?
  280. >The shots from their horns were bouncing off of your suit, just as they did last time.
  281. >Oddly enough... It seemed your suit was absorbing the shots.
  282. >Your energy cells were being rapidly recharged.
  283. >
  284. >Oooohhh goody.
  285. >These foolish splicers didn't know about the hell they'd just unleashed.
  286. >You barreled into the left most splicer, knocking him a great distance down the street.
  287. >No time to finish him; you turned to find the next closest splicer.
  288. >A flying horse was close, so you jumped as best you could; damn thing flew just a bit higher than you could jump though.
  289. >Alright, it needs to get down on your level.
  290.
  291. ----------------------
  292.
  293. >You looked around to find another of the ground splicers.
  294. >Ah! There we are!
  295. >You rushed towards this one and plowed it into the side of a building.
  296. >It wasn't moving much after that, so you picked it up with your gloved hand and turned to find the airborne horse.
  297. >Just as you thought, the 'armor' that these things were wearing crumpled like tin foil under your grip.
  298. >"H-hey... wait a mi--"
  299. >The shocked splicer didn't have time to beg as you reared back and threw it as hard as your suit would allow towards its flying comrade.
  300. >That had the desired effect.
  301. >The airborne fool just hovered in shock as his ally came flying at him.
  302. >It was just before impact that the flying horse realized what you did, but it was too late.
  303. >
  304. >The clank and crunch of metal against metal, combined with the expression on the flying horses face just before impact was priceless.
  305. >Wish you had a camera.
  306. >Well, that took care of one horned splicer and one flying splicer, where were the other four?
  307. >You turned to find your little yellow sister still curled in a ball and crying, but the other aerial splicer had decided it would try to approach your little sister.
  308. >
  309. >That was the last mistake it ever made.
  310. >Your anger towards those that would dare approach your little sister fueled a spectacular amount of speed.
  311. >Yellow sister heard you approaching and looked around to see what was going on.
  312. >When she spotted the flying splicer, she screamed "Look out!"
  313. >What a good sister, trying to help identify the splicers for you.
  314. >As you approached, you heard the splicer ask "what?"
  315.
  316. ----------------------
  317.
  318. >That was the last word the idiotic splicer ever uttered, as you plowed your drill into its skull.
  319. >A short scream and quick shower of blood later, and the splicer was gone.
  320. >You picked shoved the body away from your little sister with your foot, and turned to face her again.
  321. >She was absolutely horrified!
  322. >Poor thing.
  323. >This must be the first time she's seen a splicer.
  324. >That would explain why she was so disobedient when you tried to adopt her initially.
  325. >She was crying and shaking again.
  326. >There there little one, you're safe again.
  327. >You looked around to check for the other splicers.
  328. >The remaining three horned splicers were... retreating?
  329. >What?
  330. >Splicers weren't supposed to be organized.
  331. >You'd been taught they would attack whenever the opportunity arose, and they would never let the chance slip by to try and kidnap a sister.
  332. >The times, they'd been changing.
  333. >Just to be safe, you picked up the body of the dead splicer and took aim towards the retreating group.
  334. >With one final roar, you hurled the body towards the triad of horses.
  335. >The strike was almost comical as the body crunched in various painful directions and spewed its blood onto the remaining horses.
  336. >The one you hit screamed as it was suddenly propelled forward, causing the other two to stop dead in their tracks.
  337. >They looked back at you, probably trying to figure out if you were pursuing them or not.
  338. >You were still in aggressive mode, so you gave one good stomp to the ground and growled loudly at them.
  339. >They seemed to get the message, collecting the horse you'd hit and retreating faster now.
  340.
  341. ----------------------
  342.
  343. >Good.
  344. >You switched your suit back to normal and headed back to your poor sister.
  345. >She was screaming as loud as she could between sobs.
  346. >It was sad, yes, but she would have to learn about the outside world sooner or later.
  347. >You collected her in your arm as you had previously, and let out your gentle protective growl.
  348. >
  349. >The growl system had its ups and downs.
  350. >On the plus side, you could convey basic warnings, greetings, and other tidbits of information easily to those who understood the system.
  351. >It was also pretty easy to learn, as the growls were pretty basic, lest you were conversing with another Big Daddy.
  352. >On the down side, you couldn't speak to anyone normally. It was growl system or mute.
  353. >
  354. >Good news was yellow sister seemed to be getting a basic understanding of the system.
  355. >Your lower, gentler growl had done the trick and gotten her to stop screaming and crying.
  356. >She was still scared stiff, but she knew she was safe with you.
  357. >Excellent.
  358. >You banged on the gate once more with your drill.
  359. >There weren't any splicers; it was safe for you to enter now, right?
  360. >
  361. >Peering through the bars, your hopes were crushed.
  362. >There were splicers in Central!
  363. >No.
  364. >No No No!
  365. >
  366. >Okay, focus.
  367. >Think.
  368. >You have a simple objective now: secure Central.
  369. >Sorry little one, but it looks like you're going to see a bit more action today.
  370. >You spun your drill up and smashed it into the gate.
  371. >The metal used for it was flimsy against your powerful drill, giving away after a few seconds of contact with it.
  372. >What was with the flimsy construction?
  373.
  374. ----------------------
  375.
  376. >If the splicers had Central, they had access to much better metals than this garbage.
  377. >Though, they were splicers. You shouldn't give them too much credit when it comes to intelligence.
  378. >You shoved your way through the gate, holding yellow sister close as you did.
  379. >An a slightly brighter note, shearing your way through the gate did clean the bits of bone, brain and blood off of your drill.
  380. >Always a silver lining!
  381. >
  382. >The splicers in here were probably better trained.
  383. >Or at least tougher.
  384. >One would assume that was the case if they were in Central and the others weren't.
  385. >The splicer that caught your eye wasn't wearing as much armor as the one's you'd fought previously.
  386. >Not even a helmet!
  387. >What is it, stupid?
  388. >
  389. >"Stop where you are! There is no need for bloodshed!"
  390. >Maybe he's not so stupid.
  391. >Let's find out.
  392. >
  393. >You stopped and cast your piercing yellow gaze upon the poorly armored horned horse.
  394. >"What is it you want?"
  395. >Nope. He's an idiot.
  396. >Might as well try and avoid killing for the sake of yellow sister.
  397. >She'd been through enough already.
  398. >Being outside of Rapture was horrifying enough for a new sister, but having to witness splicers being killed?
  399. >Poor girl would take at least a week of recovery before she could harvest ADAM without crying.
  400. >You looked down to check on her.
  401. >She was doing much better now.
  402. >No more shivering or clutching your arm.
  403. >She was actually looking at the not too bright splicer.
  404. >"Shinin Armor! Help!"
  405. >"Don't worry Apple Bloom; we'll get you to safety. Are you hurt?"
  406. >Dumb question.
  407. >"I wanna go home!"
  408.
  409. ----------------------
  410.
  411. >Then that is where you would go, little one.
  412. >You started moving towards Central's main structure, the group of splicers jumping at your apparently unexpected movement.
  413. >Don't do anything stupid, splicer, and you won't get hurt.
  414. >Yet.
  415. >You made sure to make your first step a heavy one; that should keep the splicers out of your way.
  416. >One actually fell over from the little shockwave.
  417. >Feeble little splicers.
  418. >You continued heading towards the door to the main building.
  419. >"No wait! Don't do anything aggressive or it'll attack."
  420. >"Then what are your orders commander?"
  421. >"Stay out of its way, but stay close. We need to find some way of either stopping it without killing anypony."
  422. >"Understood."
  423. >Good.
  424. >They got the message.
  425. >You'd kill if you had to, but it was just messy.
  426. >There would be time for play later anyway.
  427. >You approached the door and raised your drill to knock.
  428. >There was no way this door was enforced as it should be.
  429. >As soon as you struck the door, it splintered into pieces.
  430. >Might as well not have been a door there.
  431. >
  432. >You made your way into the hall, being careful to keep yellow sister close.
  433. >Apple Bloom?
  434. >Was that what the splicer had called her?
  435. >Strange that a splicer would name a sister.
  436. >Looking around, you realized that a new Rapture must've been built.
  437. >That would explain why your pod was in a cave and not here as it should be.
  438. >Must've gotten mixed up or lost during construction.
  439. >
  440. >That or the lion scorpion splicer thing had stolen your pod while you were in stasis.
  441. >You shuddered at the thought of that beast trying to... couple with your pod.
  442.
  443. ----------------------
  444.
  445. >No matter.
  446. >You're here now and you have a lost sister to protect.
  447. >You looked around and spotted a larger door with golden emblems on it.
  448. >That must be the main office!
  449. >Surely the mayor would know what to do!
  450. >...
  451. >If it wasn't overridden with splicers already.
  452. >You rose to knock on the door with your drill, making sure to be much gentler than you'd been previously.
  453. >The mayor would probably be pissed if you broke this door.
  454. >A gentle rap of your drill against the wood had the desired effect.
  455. >The knock was followed shortly with a loud "Enter!"
  456. >You pushed the doors open to find, much to your dismay, three more splicers.
  457. >These were different though.
  458. >They were all horned and winged.
  459. >"What is the meaning of this intrusion!"
  460. >"Shining Armor, what is going on?"
  461. >"Shiny, dear, what's going on?"
  462. >"Princesses! Please leave the room immediately! We don't know what this thing wants, but we're having a hard time stopping it!"
  463. >Princesses?
  464. >Honor among splicers?
  465. >A system at all?
  466. >What is this bullshit?
  467. >"What, doesn't it speak?"
  468. >"Cadance please, this thing has already killed one of my guards."
  469. >"What?!"
  470. >The white and blue splicers both took up what looked to be a defensive stance, both emanating light form their horns.
  471. >"Be gone demon! Lest thou be undone!"
  472. >Blue splicer obviously didn't know jack shit.
  473. >"Luna wait! Look! It's holding a filly."
  474. >"..."
  475. >"Ha! Seriously girls? Just take the little foal from the dumb--"
  476. >You switched back to aggressive mode as soon as the pink splicer started moving towards you.
  477.
  478. ----------------------
  479.
  480. >"Don't you try anything you stupid hunk of metal, you may have taken out a guard, but--"
  481. >Your aggressive growl shut the damn thing up.
  482. >"Fine then, we do this the hard way."
  483. >Why is it always the hard way?
  484. >Your drill was spinning at a low RPM now.
  485. >You made no move towards the pink horse, you didn't start fights, but you'd finish them.
  486. >Suddenly, you were temporarily blinded by a flash of light.
  487. >When you could see again, you looked around to find the pink horse standing over yellow sister.
  488. >Wrong move, bitch.
  489. >You charged full speed towards the pink horse, gripping its throat tightly as soon as you could.
  490. >"Gah!"
  491. >"CADANCE!"
  492. >Before any of the horses had time to react, you hurled the pink fiend into the wall to your left.
  493. >Quickly scooping up yellow sister into your protection, you looked over her for any signs of injury.
  494. >Seems you were just in time to stop the pink one from doing anything.
  495. >"FOUL BEAST!"
  496. >Suddenly, your suit was encased in a blue aura that was lifting you from the floor.
  497. >Not much, maybe a foot or two, but you were definitely being lifted.
  498. >It could lift you all it wanted, you weren't letting go of yellow sister.
  499. >"Luna wait!"
  500. >"Sister, did you not see what this demon just did to Princess Mi Amore Cadenza?!"
  501. >"That isn't Cadance!"
  502. >You looked towards the pink horse to see that it was no longer pink.
  503. >Apparently, you'd shaken off some kind of disguise.
  504. >What you saw standing up in the small crater was...
  505. >A black cheese horse? With bug wings?
  506. >Okay, that had to be a splicer.
  507. >It had fangs and everything.
  508.
  509. ----------------------
  510.
  511. >The other horses were standing around talking about something, but you paid them no mind.
  512. >There was a splicer in the same room as your little sister.
  513. >Time was of the essence.
  514. >This damned blue horse still had you immobilized though.
  515. >There wasn't much you could do to get out of it either.
  516. >Maybe if you broke its concentration...
  517. >You overcharged your suit and let out the loudest roar you could.
  518. >If there was another big daddy within five miles of you, he knew where to go now.
  519. >You did manage to break the blue horse's grip on you though.
  520. >As you fell the mere inches you were being held from the ground, you tackled the blue horse into the white horse.
  521. >No more interruptions.
  522. >While they gathered their bearings, you were charging the bug horse, full speed.
  523. >It saw you coming though, and jumped out of the way at the last second.
  524. >"WRETCHED BEAST!"
  525. >You yanked your drill out of the wall, and turned to face the bug once more.
  526. >It had taken up a stance in the middle of the room, eyeing you angrily.
  527. >"How DARE you assault me, Chrysalis, QUEEN OF THE--"
  528. >You cut it off with another full speed charge.
  529. >Horse isn't very good at fighting.
  530. >Talks too much.
  531. >Though it did manage to dodge you twice in a row...
  532. >Time for a new strategy.
  533. >Looking around, there wasn't much you could-- a ha!
  534. >Your sister was helping you once more!
  535. >She was hiding behind a golden chair of some form, obviously knowing exactly what you needed!
  536. >Sure, the metal was weak, but it would do.
  537. >You made your way towards the chair quick as you could.
  538.
  539. ----------------------
  540.
  541. >Yellow sister saw you approach, and ducked back behind the pedestal the chair was atop.
  542. >Good. She knows to stay safe and out of sight while you take care of business.
  543. >With the chair in your hand, you turned to find the bug.
  544. >"Oh? A lust for the throne? You really must be dense to even think--"
  545. >She was cut off by a swift chair to the head.
  546. >Dodge that, bitch.
  547. >Queen or not, you don't mess with a little sister.
  548. >She was standing up once more, apparently shaking off the blow.
  549. >You heard movement behind you and turned to find your little sister approaching the still dazed blue and white horses.
  550. >"Princess Luna! Princess Celestia! You gotta get up!"
  551. >"Little foal, hide! You're in danger here; you've got to go now!"
  552. >"Come with me my little pony, Luna will handle this while I get you to safety."
  553. >...Was the white pony the mother?
  554. >You'd never met the mother of a little sister before.
  555. >It made sense. Yellow sister at least looked more like the white horse than the bug horse.
  556. >Alright, go with mother yellow sister.
  557. >You'll be wither her again soon enough.
  558. >The blue horse was speaking to you now.
  559. >"Demon, let the filly go or we will have words."
  560. >Yellow sister was with mother, so she was safe for now.
  561. >Now you protect the mother from bug horse. What blue horse does is of no concern to you.
  562. >You turned to see that the bug had gotten up once more, and was none too happy with you.
  563. >She'd learned to keep her mouth shut now, and had taken to making her horn glow.
  564. >She was about to fire something at you, you could sense it.
  565.
  566. ----------------------
  567.
  568. >Time for action.
  569. >You charged again, but she chose to fly upwards this time.
  570. >Fucking wings.
  571. >You looked around for your crumpled chair from earlier, only to find it hurling towards you at an alarming rate.
  572. >You barely had time to raise your drill as a shield before impact.
  573. >"So, you have feelings for the foal do you?"
  574. >Dumb splicer.
  575. >Didn't know shi--
  576. >There was a flash of green light, and then the bug was holding yellow sister.
  577. >The roar that followed likely shattered windows.
  578. >You switched your suit to overdrive.
  579. >Doesn't matter what, you protect your sister at all costs.
  580. >Even if it means your damned life.
  581. >"Don't even think about it demon! I've got the foal, you do as I--"
  582. >She didn't finish her sentence.
  583. >Your drill was spinning well above what was considered 'safe' as it sliced through one of her wings.
  584. >You'd missed her head, but you'd gotten the bitch down on the ground.
  585. >Speeding towards the bug at a bone crushing rate, you barely registered the mighty flash of blue light.
  586. >In the instant of time just before you impacted the bug, you moved your hand and threw yellow sister away from the coming violence.
  587. >Then, you'd plowed into the wall.
  588. >The bug effectively trapped between you and the wall, there was nowhere for it to go now.
  589. >You backed off enough to grip the splicer's throat, and smashed its body into the ground.
  590. >The thing was still alive though, so you readied your drill.
  591. >"ENOUGH!"
  592. >You didn't stop though.
  593. >"I SWEAR I WILL KILL YOU DEMON!"
  594. >Not before you beg for something sweet as death, you dumb bitch.
  595.
  596. ----------------------
  597.
  598. >You plowed the drill into the splicer's chest and it let out an ear-splitting scream.
  599. >Taking your time, you made sure to rupture as many organs as you could when you began dragging the drill up towards the head.
  600. >There was a defiant rage in her eyes as her horn glowed green once again, and you felt a sharp pain in your chest.
  601. >"WE--"
  602. >You shoved the drill up harder.
  603. >"DIE--"
  604. >You ripped the drill out of her chest and brought it down towards her face.
  605. >"TOGETHER"
  606. >Her dying breath was followed by a drill straight through the head.
  607. >After the deed was done, you collapsed.
  608. >There, to your left, was your heart.
  609. >It let out one final beat, and your brain began to register what'd happened.
  610. >With your last moment of life, you did the only thing you could do.
  611. >Hope that yellow sister would be safe with mother.
  612. >At least you'd gotten the splicer.
  613. >
  614. >
  615. >
  616. >Elsewhere in Equestria, there were five big daddy pods, all of which had registered your warning roar.
  617. >As the night set upon the land, five distinct bangs could be heard as the pods de-pressurized.
  618. >One in the forest.
  619. >Another in the mountains.
  620. >One near a small town.
  621. >The fourth near a lonely barn.
  622. >And the fifth in a field full of holes.
  623. >
  624. >Your brethren had survived just as you had.
  625. >And they would be the reckoning that Rapture so desperately needed.
