  1. HAHAHA H A /TEN YEARS OLDS SCREAMING FOR TEN MINUTES
  2. I mean haha yeah.
  3.
  4. So one of the biggest influences Chara's had on Frisk from the absolute get go is their uh, mutual, fairly unhealthy co-dependency. And there are aspects to it that aren't horrific, it's just the extent of how dependent they both are that makes it such an issue. Basically from the very get go Frisk and Chara have had this impression of "this is the only other person that matters and it's us against the world", which has led to Frisk having... a much slower arc of development and relationship building than any other point I've played them from. Much slower.
  5.
  6. Because if they have each other, why would they need anyone else? It's continued to have negative impacts even now, even with bringing Asriel into their home. There's still this dividing line between even him and them, and that line is so clearcut at the moment- as thick as it's ever been. It is still Chara and Frisk, versus the world.
  7.
  8. The other, really important thing that Chara's brought to them...though it still lays in that level of co-dependency, is... the fact that Chara loves them. That's it. The fact that Chara loves them and with them, for the first time, Frisk cannot deny or hesitate to believe it.
  9.
  10. It's such an insanely important piece of development for them, to know that there is someone who likes who they are, and who They Are in particular, and whilst it's sunk the both of them further down into their own little world for the time being, it's something that's going to be confidence inspiring. Because it means they know someone has their back, absolutely and undoubtedly.
  11.
  12. The next step from here is...equally as important, I think. Now that they've really solidified their place with each other, having the opportunity to share that space with another person is what they both need, to begin to open up, and let other people in.
