[11:02] <CelestialDoggie> [10:46] <Samanhe_> "Alright, alright...but really honest and for truly, 's there a reason we're cruisin' round these here waters? Waitin' for somethin', wind's dead, just because...?" she suggests.
[11:04] <Jenifer_Teague> "Clearly we're lookin' for sunken treasure." She grins "Though I'm not goin' divin' for it like this." She gestures at her immaculate outfit, her ruby earing and her silver armlets.
[11:06] <Samanhe_> "No? How so, then? Or are you makin' someone *else* do the divin'?"
[11:06] <Samanhe_> She sounds honestly curious.
[11:07] <Jenifer_Teague> "...wait, are you actually bitin' this story?"
[11:10] <Samanhe_> "..." She narrows her eyes. "Well I had no reason not to," she says, leaning forward with an accusatory finger pointing at Jenifer. "I dunno for sure what you half-fancy sailin' types do. I've been in here workin' on these here charts, not listenin' to cap'n's orders on where next."
[11:11] <Jenifer_Teague> "I'm jerkin' yer chain. With the whole treasure thin', I mean."
[11:12] <Samanhe_> "I get that *now*," she says archly, folding her arms over her chest defensively. "Sheesh. I ain't stupid, just dunno the ways 'round here yet."
[11:18] * Jenifer_Teague laughs musically. "I meant no offence~ Just teasin'"
[11:19] * Samanhe_ relaxes a little. "Alright, if you say so."
[11:24] * Jenifer_Teague sticks out her tongue 'Ye looks cute when ye pout. Becuase that wasn't scary angry, that was a pout."

[11:27] <Samanhe_> Some red creeps up in her cheeks and out at the tips of her ears, but she closes her eyes and nods once. "I'll try harder to be scary angry next time, then."
[11:43] * Jenifer_Teague rolls her eyes "Best of luck there. I don't scare easy and I don't think you have the disposition for it. You could probebly do charming pretty well though with a bit of work." She stands up from the chair and twirls, her long coat fluttering out behind her dramaticly and deliberately.
[11:47] <Samanhe_> "Who, me? Charmin'? Nah," she scoffs, waving a hand. "No need to talk pretty at people when I'm more at home lettin' someone like you do it better while I stand back and watch."
[11:50] <Jenifer_Teague> "As much as I love all the attention...oh, you should see the darlin' dress I had at the most recent ball...sharing is caring and really, it doesn't take much to be decently charmin'"
[12:01] <Samanhe_> "Well, maybe if it comes to it, but I ain't got reason t'be all that charmin' right now and I don't really see it bein' a thing any time soon, so..." She shrugs. "Maybe. Ma did always say she thought I shoulda been born a boy, but I think that's 'cause o' breakin' my nose fallin' outta trees."
[12:05] <Jenifer_Teague> "It reach up and grap ya?" She laughs.
[12:11] <Samanhe_> "Nah, it was when I started growin' up. M'arms were too long for my brain t'keep up, 's what the healer said afterward."
[12:17] <Jenifer_Teague> "Is yer brain longer now?~" She grins.
[12:25] <Samanhe_> "Little bit," she grins back. "Had time t'grow into my arms, too. And ears, legs, an' everything else." She accompanies the last bit with a vague gesture at herself.
[12:31] <Jenifer_Teague> "Doesn't look like the ears too much growin' into. Not exactly full knife ears there." She leans back against a wall
[12:36] <Samanhe_> "Nah." She leans against the wall again. "Both my folks are half, their folks were half, *their* folks were half...I don't think we kept track of which generation was the human what diddled a real elf, or vice-a-versa, but it was way back."
[12:38] <Jenifer_Teague> "I dunno, might have just been an elf who hand an accident and ended up half the man he was."
[12:39] <Samanhe_> "...I don't think it works that way," she says reprovingly.
[12:40] <Jenifer_Teague> "I have on good authority that you'd get a Half Elf that way." She grins widely.
[12:44] * Samanhe_ thinks for a moment, then a grin slowly spreads over her face too. "...Better be the right half, though, or ain't gonna have any kids."
[12:49] <Jenifer_Teague> "Well, yeah...but hey it could work." She laughs. "I mean, I've never seen a Ling and we ended up with half them all over the place."
[12:52] <Samanhe_> It takes Samanhe a good six or seven seconds to process the joke...but she giggles furiously when it does click.
