While I am nervous about my first lesson,

一生懸命歌わせていただきますわ。
If I remember correctly, we are supposed to be having a vocal lesson today.
I will sing for this to the best that I can.

With that said, what kind of song should I sing?

歌ってもらう曲を聞いてもらった。
アップテンポなアイドルソングだ・・・・・・
I had Seika listen to what she'll be singing.
It was an idol song with a fast tempo.

曲を聴いたら、少し驚いてしまって・・・・・・。

わたくしは昔から、クラシック音楽ばかりを聞いてきました。
それに歌といえば、わたくしにとってはオペラでしたの。
Ever since before, I've always been listening to classic music.
Also, opera comes first to my mind when speaking of songs.

違いがあるのは分かっていたはずですのに、
改めてオペラとアイドルの曲の違いに驚いてしまったのです。
Even though I should've known that there's difference between them,
I ended up being surprised again about how different opera is to the songs of idols.

聴き馴染みのない音楽・・・・・・歌うのは難しそうですわね・・・・・・。
A song which I'm not familiar with... That would seem to be difficult for me to sing...

・・・・・・と、聞くまでもないですわね。
そのお顔を見れば、答えは分かってしまいますね。
Whew... How was my singing?
...Although, there's no need for me to ask.
I could already know the answer just by seeing the look on your face.

わたくしも同じ気持ちですわ。
音程などとれていたと思うんです。
ですが、アイドルらしい表現はできませんでしたわ。
I feel the same way.
I think that I was in tune with the song.
However, I wasn't able to express it like an idol would.

やはりわたくしには、アイドルの曲は歌えないのでしょうか・・・・・・。
Perhaps, I'm not capable of singing an idol song...

そうですわね。
今まで聞いてきた曲と、アイドルの曲は違いますけれど、
音を楽しむという本格的な部分は同じですわ。
That's right.
Even though the music I've been listening to and the idol songs are different,
the part of enjoying their sounds are essentially the same.

これまで培ってきた音楽経験を、今度は歌に活かしますわ。
まだ聞き慣れないリズムや音は、これからゆっくり時間をかけて
自分の体に染み込ませていきます。
All the experience I had in regards to music, I will now make use of it towards singing.
I would have these rhythm and sounds that I'm not yet used to hearing be slowly imbued to my body over time.

わたくしたちはまだ出会ったばかりですわ。
長いお付き合いになるのですから、
ゆっくり時間をかけて、色々なお話を一緒にしましょう。
We have just met one another.
Since we'll be together for a long time,
let's take it slowly and talk about many things.

それに、休憩を取ることもレッスンのひとつですわよね。
