Calum Lucis

Calum Lucis Ravensend was born the unwanted bastard son of the local lord of Ravensend, The young boys father was pressured by his advisors to have the child be groomed and raised from an early age in secret, to inherit his father's kingdom after his death due to the lack of a legitimate heir. As you can imagine his father wasn't too pleased about keeping the child, much less raising him to inherit the kingdom. Calum had always knew about his father intense hatred of him and by the time Calums training had gotten halfway through and his Father had managed to produce a legitimate heir the hatred grew to be mutual. With a legitimate Heir Calum soon felt he had no way to take what he felt was rightfully his, so he did what he thought was right and Murdered his Half-Brother in cold blood by poisoning him. Now with the Duke on his deathbed and without a legitimate heir to claim the throne, Calum remained the only option for the duchy, but alas the duke did not care for his hatred of the bastard far outweighed the well-being of his kingdom. So Calum once more took matters into his own hands and "Forced" the duke to admit that he was his son through torture before the duke finally "Expired" through the means of an unfortunate "Accident". Shortly after his fathers "untimely" demise Calum took the throne and began to turn the kingdom from a small village into a bustling castle town expanding outwards to encompass an entire territory which Calum was able to control with a bit of effort due to the extensive grooming and training he received as a child. Now with a few years of experience with combat and running a decently sized duchy Calum yearns for more power.
