  1. Jump #270: RWBY
  2. >Two of Wands (Dominion), reversed: Obstinate and irresponsible leadership.
  3. Gee, I WONDER where you could find that here. Just about everywhere, yeah?
  4. >Age: 18
  5. >Location: Mistral
  6. >Identity: Student (-100)
  7. >Drawbacks: Cinder's List (+200), A Maiden's Heart (+300)
  8. Mistakes. Were. Made.
  9. >Intellectual (Free, Student)
  10. Can't complain about a freebie.
  11. >Semblance: Highlighter (1100, Student)
  12. I have every intention of using this to be a knock-off Green Lantern.
  13. >Dust Grafts (700, Student)
  14. This is honestly one of the main things I intend to make use of. Elemental attacks and making dust-glass weaponry is handy.
  15. >Bigger On The Inside (600)
  16. Reading material! Suddenly I wish I had this before Highlander, it would have been useful rebuilding Sajuuk. Maybe this'll help me get the ship's effective alt-mode from FTL to be integrated again?
  17. >Dust For Dummies Pro (Free, Student)
  18. Figuring out the mechanics behind Dust and working on it is definitely handy.
  19. >Aura For Everybody (500)
  20. I'm taking this to Worm. I'm both giving it to Cauldron to spread to other worlds, and putting it on the internet. We're going to see a new age of heroes... though, admittedly, my first interest is making my semblance work with my other powers.
  21. >Friends Unforgotten (200)
  22. Bringing friends along! And the eight of them have ended up on different teams. Inexplicably, I appear to have ended up a loner, because the rest of my team is dead and I've rebuffed attempts to have a new team assigned to me.
  23. >Variable Weapon: Staff Caster
  24. So I shall tell you how you make a weapon such as this, which is basically not used unless shit well and truly hits the fan, and costs a total of 200 points. First, you import a couple of weapons that you picked up in prior jumps that could, THEORETICALLY, be themely, and cobble them together.
  25. >Weapon Import: Outlaw Star: Caster (-25)
  26. >Weapon Import: Blame!: Silicon Staff (-25)
  27. You make sure that your weapon has an intermediary mode where the traits of both weapons are present while not necessarily being either one of them.
  28. >Alt-Alt Mode (-50)
  29. And then you make sure that it has the ability to utilize ammunition, and then you amp it the hell up.
  30. >Dust Chamber (-50)
  31. >Dust Focus (-75)
  32. Voila, the Caster Staff. In the form of a pistol, it's still a caster with all the fun that can be expected. In the form of a seven foot staff, it's still useful for all the fun gravity manipulation that can be expected there. And in the intermediary form, it's a tonfa with the abilities of the other mode, if at a notably reduced efficiency.
  33.
  34. And yes, brought friends along, the eight of them have ended up comprising two different teams. Inexplicably, I appear to have ended up a loner, because the rest of my team is dead. Hooray. :|
  35.
  36. And apparently I'm somewhat notable because I have a weapon, but I keep going out and hunting grimm with a baseball bat. And bashing them in the mask. And WINNING. Sure, I've got powers running at half, but as long as the other half goes to someone that I don't have to worry about.
  37.
  38. >Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet:
  39. >"Salem, I seem to have suddenly become more powerful than you."
  40. >"... say that again, doctor?"
  41. >"I am rather certain that I am now a vampire. Also a robot. Also an angel. Also, I am huge and have huge guts, and a sudden affinity for conspiracies. Which is convenient, but none of this makes sense."
  42. >"I... oh, whatever. Maidens. Get. Chop-chop!"
  43.
  44. Huh, suddenly I have a bad feeling about this.
  45.
  46. Well, whatever. More important things to deal with. Being alone makes me a target for a shadowy conspiracy, but I can deal with that, certainly isn't the first time that's happened. Unsurprisingly, I eventually came across the others and got mixed up in their business. Half power is still plenty of power, so the good news: I saw to it that Yang got her arm replaced with a robotic counterpart, Pyrrhia got a resurrection, and while it took a few years, Cinder's people were eventually taken down and Cinder herself got eaten by Salem. Or something. I'm still not entirely clear on the details of that. Of course, Cinder was not ACTUALLY the Fall Maiden, just stole a measure of her power, so... things were not as bad as they could be.
  47.
  48. Bad news: Salem tried to destroy the world a few years later while she was trying to divide the various factions on the planet, and her right hand man was one doctor Arthur Watts, who was the guy that got half of my powers. When things progressed further and there was a showdown, he had apparently used the abiliies he'd gotten from me to resurrect their dead allies as vampires and other similar revenants. Thanks to the joys of how positive and negative energy work, though, undead had a notable weakness to Aura abilities, but this doesn't mean everyone didn't basically spend TWO EPISODES tearing through everyone as they made their charge into the villainous complex with the backdrop of the grimmpocalypse beginning outside.
  49.
  50. And then Arthur rezzed everyone AGAIN to charge them from behind. (Which, fortunately, depleted his ability to do things like that further, and everyone made short work of the zombies because they already knew how to deal with them.)
  51.
  52. While the Maidens were revealed (and come on, you know who they'll end up being, don't make me spoil it) and engaged Salem, I kept Arthur busy. Sure, he had my abilities, but perhaps five years of training in how to use them. I on the other hand have tens of thousands of years, and while it made for a very interesting fight, as soon as he agreed to deal with me head-on the conclusion was foregone.
  53.
  54. By which I mean he fought honorably, and after I got him into position, I had my companions blast him into unconsciousness.
  55.
  56. And then I chopped off his head, incinerated the corpse, and burned the remains.
  57.
  58. Eventually, the good guys proved victorious, orbital fire support proved effective to end the grimmpocalypse, and I spent my two remaining years dealing with the White Fang because they were the last large intact group that could hope to mess with me and were also unforgivably stupid terrorists.
  59.
  60. Once Arthur Watts died, apparently my powers went to Whitley Schnee. Not sure if want, but he instituted a number of changes in the Schnee Dust Company that improved profits, employee happiness, and dealt with most of the underlying problems effectively. It's all in how you apply all of those perks. Though he was even more insufferably smug, from what I hear...
