- [13:24] The horns would dip low as he nodded, the clinking and shuffling of armor would be heard as he raised his robed arm towards the church.
- "Very well, I shall give a lesson. Come, Anlaufr, this will be educational for you as well."
- Words carried more value to the more ears they reached, and his student had been wishing to learn more of their religion anyway. Without much further ado, the head priest would turn to lead them inside of the Cathedral.
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:25] Anlaufr exclaims, "Mhm, sure!"
- [13:25] Yael simply squinted at the man.
- (Yael)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:25] Revan Task asks, "Hello stranger, care to join us?"
- [13:25] Yael asks, "Fireblooded?"
- [13:25] Revan Task says, "Of course."
- [13:26] Yael nodded slowly.
- (Yael)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:36] Pushing open the heavy wooden doors, a warmth would wash over the group that had amassed for the impromptu sermon. Numerous fires warmed the halls dedicated for studying, training, and merrymaking.
- "The Fireblooded.. The ones who worship and seek to emulate the dragons.. Where to start.. But the beginning?"
- His deep voice would begin to bellow out as his hummed through the dense nyeshk, passing by each of the pews as he let those who had gathered fill them at their leisure.
- Clad in a white cloak with scarlet trim that almost looked like embers, the priest would turn, resting his hands by his waist with his bandaged palms towards the group. The gesture would brush the cloak away to show a matching surcoat, the set of the Fireblooded Templars.
- "In the beginning it was cold, and barren.. However, life would come to be from the breath of one spirit, a breath that carried a spark that would spread like wildfire. The original Dragon, Ryujin, was the spirit that breathed life into all creation with his fire. It gave us warmth, and from it we learned passion, ambition, and hunger."
- He stood tall and strong, not budging hardly an inch as he professed the origins of the Father titan that gave life to them all. Pausing, the golden hues would suddenly be seen glowing as he used some otherworldly vision to inspect their responses before continuing.
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:41] Fireblooded, a religion of Theria, which referred to times of creation. It was something fascinating, which Anlaufr sought to learn more about, both because such a religion was part of his city, so much because he could learn more about fire magic, which was very much intertwined with the religion.
- Upon entering that huge structure, the man quickly sought a seat at the front, where there he would remain fully attentive to Revan's words. An remained in an upright posture, where his brown eyes were totally focused on the Task, leader of the Fireblooded.
- His master started with a part that An already heard, but which was always interesting to hear! Anlaufr would remain silent for now, not wanting to disturb the explanations.
- (Anlaufr)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:43] How intriguing. The Drakanite female didn't bother to take a sit, at lest not on a bench. Instead she took a more casual option, lacking any formality, the Occultic Dragon lady took a her sit in the cold floor, sat over her bend left leg, having her left hand and right feet on the ground do support her, she leaned backwards in a comfortable position.
- The only thing in th entire hall that could catch her attention was nothing but the Fireblooded one, nor the books, nor the hall, priests, scholars. It was all way too boring and lacked interest to catch the woman's eye, that was serious and obsessed, despite the casuality she seemed to show. "Yes, Fire is Life. It's motion, vivacity. Passion and Ambicton are also interesting ways to define it..." Anguisa merely side looked at Anlaufr, one that she knew to had such an interesting relationship with the spark of life.
- "I remember Diedrich telling something similar to me. What do you mean by Hunger exactly, Task?" She was visibly kind of interested on that very matter, she even focused more her lizard-like pupils on him. She was eager for an answer. It interested her, that very specific choice of words.
- (Anguisa)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:44] The young Drakanite fastened himself into his seating. He seemed dressed rather casually for a boy his age, commoners clothing dawned his form. He had always heard the tales from his parents, being born and raised in Theria. He idolized Ryujin like almost none other.
- So the boy would nod along as Revan spoke word of their god. His frame rocked back and forth in anticipation. He was young, but it was clear there was an ambition in his eyes, an eagerness to learn, an eagerness to serve.
- "Tell us more.." He chimed silently, albeit awaiting patiently otherwise.
- (Yael)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:57] The Task's lips would be tugged into a wide smile when he saw that he had captivated their attention, being asked to go on, Anguisa asking for him to explain perhaps one of his favorite parts.
- "It takes more than just a spark to make a flame, does it not? You need kindling to catch that precious spark of potential life, once embers begin to settle and grow it must take it's first breath, much like a newborn child. Flames with grow and dance, but it will be short lived if not fed."
- Things were getting heavily metaphorical as he weaved in different aspects of life into the lesson. Comparing fire making to the start of one's life.
- "Be you throwing sticks to keep your fire going, or a babe suckling upon their mother's breast, everything hungers. Including the dragons themselves.. They do not fault us, or shame us for this either. They are one of the few spirits who understand one of our most human traits- Desire."
- His hands that were held out in an Offering like gesture would suddenly bend at his elbow, his hands cupping together in a more requesting gesture, though he would continue.
- "We pay our offering as thanks to Ryujin and all he has created, and all he asks is that we protect and live amongst his children, the other dragons. We give sacrifice to Garljing, for his protection and wisdom he grants us, for he had given Thorgil the tenants at which we adhere by."
- Suddenly hands would clasp together and he began to crack his knuckles, the helm would turn looking for any question up to this point.
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:01] The young blonde Drakanite continued nodding along, quite intrigued by the speaking's of Ryujin and Garljing. This offering is a very controversial segment of the Fireblooded way, but Revan was right.. as humans crave and hunger, so too do these dragons -- and they deserve to be fed far greater.
- Though he'd remain silent for the time being, awaiting further elaboration of those tenants. He'd need to learn them well, and prepare to adhere by them for the foreseeable future.
- (Yael)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:06] His gaze momentarily strayed to Ang, when he heard what she asked. The woman that Anlaufr had once known as a child, had changed and he was increasingly aware of these traits. Perhaps this was something because she was Drakanite, or perhaps it was the influence of the demonic creatures, which she spent time with, while she was a slave.. Perhaps.
- But independently, Revan soon continued his explanations. Where An's interest was caught, once again, with question of desire. In fact, humans wanted a lot of things. They were greedy. Where the dragons apparently resembled them. Interesting..
- Giving a slight cough, he rose from his seat and said, "In addition to the sacrifices, what are the other offerings that we can offer to them?" A simple question, to understand what could be offered..
- After asking the question, he sat down again and waited patiently for the answer.
- (Anlaufr)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:10] The talks about potential and actual life made a light smirk escape her lips, as well as a light whipping of her tail on the cold floor, she was seemingly satisfied enough, atleast to hear that from the mouth of a mortal human. She was merely taking it all silent, hearing his speech as her confirmation was already given.
- And so it was told that she was correct to believe what she indeed believes, a fitting Faith pointed. However, she wouldn't just be satisfied with such a simple explanation from the Task. She however would arch an eyebrow, the offerings part was compreheensible, she also had her own lust for wealthy, even though that Money and gems wouldn't suffice to her. A honest nod came from her.
- "How interesting. I remember however that in my talk to Diedrich, he kind of couldn't answer me if it is true that not all Dragons follow the same path as Ryujin's. Even though we're all children of the Dragon deity." Anguisa brought her index finger and pointed upwards. "Garljin's lair is at the top of the Tarian mountain. This very one we're settled on. Where is Ryujin's lair, and where are the others, what is it that we should offer to them, if they're out there?"
- (Anguisa)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:42] Once again, details of sacrifice were asked, and the answers would be very familiar to all of them.
- "Aside from feeding the dragons your enemies, gold, precious ores, magical artifacts, and other rare oddities of interest are all things that would please a dragon."
- As Anguisa pointed out that the Red Behemoth rested atop their mountain, she would inquire where his father would slumber. A click of his tongue behind his teeth as he nodded his head.
- "Once the Netherworld was created, the original Dragon took his place as overseer of all Immortal spirits, and soared to the highest rings of the Spirit realm to watch over."
- Once again, her conversation with Diedrich would come up, another nod coming from him as the Priest had an answer for that as well. She spoke of how not all dragon's followed Ryujin's path, a small chuckle coming from him, though it was a phrase that he would find himself having to dwell more on later.
- "Not.. Every son has to follow their father's path.. Do they not..? To be a dragon is to understand freedom, though this is something that you must defend with blood and might. Dragon's are strong, so they can forge whichever path they wish- however, strength is nothing without wisdom.. Something that only comes from a flame tempered over time, and tried through life's tribulations. A Dragon is strong enough to do whatever it pleases, to amass a hoard, and find a lair that pleases them.. Though they are wise enough to know when to act, and when not to."
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:48] An's question was quickly answered by his master! So basically a lot of things can be offered, as long as it has value? Easy to remember. If An were to dedicate himself to this religion, he would need to acquire 'good' things to offer.
- Nodding to Revan, Anlaufr immediately commented, "I see. But aside from the fact that through such a religion we offer a lot of things to dragons, what can we get?
- You know, I seek to improve myself so to speak, where I saw such an opportunity through the Fireblooded religion. Is there anything that I can achieve through it, specifically, Revan?" One more question, one more to which he would await an answer.
- After saying all that, he again remained silent and listened to what his master had to say. Where besides the basics, he also learned more about dragons, about their freedom, power and how they act.. Interesting.
- (Anlaufr)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:52] Another satisfying answer, yet not that would sane all her doubts, instead bring more fire to her own quest, a unique and welcome journey ahead of the dragon lady, she merely nodded at him upon the mention of the Netherworld, a name that would bring back memories from her. "So you speak of Netherworld. Is it where The Dark Lord lies?" Again she arched an eyebrow, a simple question. Straight.
- "About their i might i have imagined it already. So, the followers of Ryujin are to offer their souls and body to aid him in the quest to watch for the Immortal Spirits, hm?" She shook her head, she was assuming that. "I guess that the Fireblooded isn't about that. It's about dragons and the spark of life, for what i could get. Am i correct?" Anguisa stroke the back of her head, developing her thoughts further.
- "An interesting point. Now i'm decided. That's something i want to study further. The Connection of the Dragon Deity with the Spirits and the Netherworld. Perhaps one of these other Dragons that choose to follow a path different from their father. Good." She was basically talking alone to herself at this point.
- (Anguisa)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:07] Plenty of eager questions were directed at the delighted Fireblooded. Perhaps it was in poor taste to ask what could your patrons do for you, but this was the Fireblooded! Nothing could be gained without putting one's life on the line.
- "Yes, the Netherworld, also known as the Spirit Realm, is the conglomeration of different elemental and spiritual planes that lie beyond our world. The Dark Lord lies within Helheim itself, the dark and torturous home of the demons"
- A faint chuckle coming from him and a shake of his head as the dragoness asked if Ryujin asked for them to aid him in looking after the Spirit Realm. "No no, his fires are strong enough to purge anything to his disliking- Even with the Dark Lord professing him as an enemy, he acknowledges him him.. It is.. All apart of his plan, to keep the fire of life burning."
- It seemed as if the Priest had dismissed the demons in the town, much like how the Overseer worried not about the Dark Lord who seemed bound to Helheim.
- "However, what can the dragons do for you? They will defend your right to fight for your freedom, to amass whatever wealth you want. They will share their wisdom to you- Your very soul carries a bit of the original spark from Ryujin's flame. That magic that you channel is that essence made manifest- the Dragon's have the knowledge to stoke this flame, and training your body to house your will, you will find the power that you both seek."
- As he speaks of the spirit being a flame, the air around him would begin to warp around him, eventually igniting in a cyan flame around him. The more he spoke of stoking, the higher his hands would raise, the aura growing with it.
- "The spirit realm is a fascinating subject- I personally wish to throw myself amongst all of its trials, and hopefully rise to the summit of our Lord.. However, that is perhaps best left for another discussion.. Is there anything else you wonder about?"
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:17] The Spirit Realm/Netherworld conversation was something that An alone could not contribute much to. After all, he had never studied or even stopped to think about it, but listening, even the least, about such things, was fascinating!
- And apparently it was all part of Ryujin's plan.. Again, interesting!
- And then, his question was answered! So they really had what Anlaufr was looking for.. Great! In fact, now he had a real reason to practice the Fireblooded religion.
- "If my soul carries Ryujin's spark, I will do everything I can to make it into a blazing fire, through training and other things!" He commented, rising from his seat once more.
- Flames were beginning to envelop the man's body. He had grown physically, but mentally he was still young.. Where words like those made him excited!
- Still standing, he then continues, "But well, as long as I practice the things of the religion, I will be a Fireblooded, right?" His gaze again turned to Revan, "If so, then everything is alright! Is there anything else I need to know about? Something we shouldn't do for example?"
- (Anlaufr)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:17] Anguisa couldn't hold it but throw out a soft smirk upon Anlaufr's question. That was him being selfish over power that he saught to attain. The Drakanite liked that. Either way she nodded at him, it seems that once more she would have to go deep inside the Demons's lair once more if she wanted to- "So, what is following Ryujin about?" A direct question with his denial. She didn't have time to think more on how she was to get knowledge from demons.
- "Of course. You can call forth the flames of your own soul. How peculiar... Indeed the spark of light is a burning flame. How peculiar." Again she smirks, the dragon, tired of it all, got up to her feet. She threw her glance upon her shoulder, resting over Anlaufr as a slight nod was given to him. "If you don't have anything that you wish to talk about the Spirit Realm currently after that, then be it. I believe that we are done, are we?"
- The Dragon woman crossed her arms, letting her head gently fall to the right as she asked him. "Yes, i will acompany you if you ever try one of it's 'trials.' Yet i believe that this will wait as you're all busy with this war."
- (Anguisa)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:27] It warmed the newest Fireblooded's head to spark such ambition in the youth with his sermon. His father had just appointed him just before the war had broken out, and while he was dedicated to studying, he was still running about.
- The war had been good for him to finally begin rallying his fellow followers. As they both spoke of how to honor the dragon's a short nod would be given as a bandaged hand raised, he'd list off a few short things for them to keep in mind.
- "Carrying yourself like a dragon, with pride and strength, but use your wisdom when you know you are outmatched, and show respect and honor where necessary.
- Always fight valiantly, and never shy away from violence, but never outnumber your opponent either. Do not fear anything but shame.
- Protect Dragons and hunt those that dare dwindle their numbers or bring harm to them.
- Discover a want that you would crush nations for.
- And do not fret over the questions of Good and Evil for they do not exist. The dragons do not judge such things, they care only about desire and restraint. When to take what you want, and when to hold back."
- Five fingers held out, he would close his hand, tucking each in the opposite robe sleeve of his priestly attire as he looked over them, seemingly content with the lesson.
- "Keep these in mind as you journey and grow, and if you ever have any questions, I should be here." A bow of his head would be given, seemingly dismissing them.
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:33] And finally, more words were spoken by Revan, but now in order to encourage the young people present. Cool!
- Still being enveloped in flames, Anlaufr listened carefully to those words and memorized them in his mind. There are no good and evil, to fear nothing but shame, to pursue goals and other things.
- Such words would be taken to An's heart, to be remembered by him forever. With his master's last gesture, basically saying that the class was over, the young man bowed out of respect and said, "Thank you so much for giving your time to us, Master! I will take everything I learned today with me, seeking always follow such thoughts."
- Then he turned and started to go towards the exit, but stopped by the entrance, waiting for the others to leave to say one last thing to Revan.
- (Anlaufr)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:34] He spoke as Anguisa already turned her back. Her question was not really answered. But she was not really expecting much of it to be answered by the mouth of a mortal. Anguisa nodded at his words, those were things that she already had in her mind. Actually, things that were part of her own nature now given to what happened to her.
- She was dismissed, and thus, there was no real reason for her to speak anything or spend time asking things that he already choose, or forgot, to answer to her. Anguisa stopped at the entry, just to remember something that she though that was worthy being said. "By the way, i am Anguisa." Formalities given, she left the church.
- (Anguisa)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:35] Revan Task says, "A pleasure, Anguise. Revan Task."
- [15:35] Revan Task says, "You both take care."
