  1. -- recreantOctopus [RO] began trolling nobodysProphet [NP] --
  2. RO: hey you
  3. NP: >[Ah, hello Cirrin.]
  4. RO: yeah hi
  5. NP: >[It's a surprise hearing from you.]
  6. RO: well yeah we dont talk much your not exactly a close friend
  7. NP: >[True enough!]
  8. RO: so CIRRIN RUNFARs heard your one of these people hanging around Paloma anyway
  9. NP: >[Yes, well, I live nearby and have known her for a while now.]
  10. NP: >[It only makes sense I'd be around.]
  11. NP: >[Regardless, is there something you wanted to talk about with me, Cirrin?]
  12. RO: yeah whats your deal with her? and Amaloc?
  13. NP: >[My deal with her?]
  14. NP: >[I'm sorry, could you clarify?]
  15. RO: yeah
  16. RO: just friends?
  17. NP: >[Yes, Paloma and I are just friends.]
  18. NP: >[Why do you ask?]
  19. RO: well its important to see who everyones friends are right in case you piss off the wrong person?
  20. NP: >[I see.]
  21. NP: >[Personally, I have no interest in letting this cycle of stupidity, maiming and death continue.]
  22. NP: >[And won't be taking part in any foolish crusades to avenge the honor of anyone else.]
  23. NP: >[I will be actively trying to keep anyone from hurting anyone else, but it is not my intention to see anyone else mutilated or killed.]
  24. NP: >[I was sorry to hear about Ranigi.]
  25. RO: whatever its good to know you wouldnt come after CIRRIN RUNFAR if CIRRIN RUNFAR did maim or kill someone
  26. NP: >[I think you misunderstand.]
  27. NP: >[My goal is to prevent any future maimings/killings.]
  28. RO: by...?
  29. NP: >[That, of course, will depend upon the situation.]
  30. RO: okay situation someone kills Amaloc what do you do next?
  31. NP: >[I assume you are postulating a situation in which I have been left completely out of the loop so as to not be capable of keeping Amaloc from being murdered in the first place.]
  32. NP: >[Given this circumstance...]
  33. NP: >[I would find out who would be trying to gain vengeance on the troll in question and try to dissuade them from getting their revenge.]
  34. NP: >[While also finding the murderer before the others to move him to safety.]
  35. RO: that is an interesting way of doing things
  36. NP: >[If Amaloc himself is already dead, there's not much I can do for him, in which case it would be best to focus on keeping the fewest dead trolls as possible.]
  37. RO: so basically someone gets a free murder on a guy sounds good
  38. NP: >[This does not mean I would approve of Amaloc being murdered however, Cirrin. Do keep that in mind.]
  39. RO: yeah but why would it matter if you approve?
  40. NP: >[There are things worse than dying or a lost tongue.]
  41. RO: oh?
  42. RO: tell CIRRIN RUNFAR about these things
  43. NP: >[Do be so kind as to not take advantage of anyone else's kindness, won't you?]
  44. NP: >[It's what got you in this mess in the first place, after all.]
  45. RO: getting caught did
  46. NP: >[Ah, and yet were you not doing it in the first place, you would not have been caught.]
  47. NP: >[Interesting, how that works.]
  48. RO: maybe but CIRRIN RUNFAR wasnt the one to do something that couldnt easily be undone
  49. RO: thats the sort of stuff that makes these cycles
  50. NP: >[I'm not saying that what was done to you was fair.]
  51. NP: >[In fact, everything that has happened in this entire cycle of revenge has been undeserved to all involved in my opinion.]
  52. RO: of course justice is pretty much fake
  53. NP: >[I am however asking you, should you ever find yourself in a situation where you believe you could take revenge on Amaloc, do keep in mind that this cycle would only be perpetuated more.]
  54. NP: >[Weren't you friends with Ranigi?]
  55. RO: yeah
  56. NP: >[I see.]
  57. RO: beleive it or not CIRRIN RUNFARs not a vengeful troll
  58. NP: >[I believe it.]
  59. RO: CIRRIN RUNFAR would have tried to talk him out of doing what he did
  60. RO: should have
  61. NP: >[Yes, I wish I had known about the situation and been able to prevent it.]
  62. NP: >[I am trying to keep in touch with everyone more now in response, so I'll know sooner if such a situation occurs again.]
  63. RO: haha so if someone stops contacting you theyre probably up to something
  64. NP: >[Hm, a reasonable theory to make.]
  65. NP: >[Then the obvious thing to do would be to make inquiries with the others regarding the individual in question.]
  66. RO: and what can you do to stop someone anyway?
  67. NP: >[Obviously the preferred method is reasonable discussion.]
  68. NP: >[I find there's little that can't be worked out by communicating and not acting like dumb wrigglers.]
  69. RO: okay communicate this
  70. RO: Amaloc is still a threat
  71. RO: and CIRRIN RUNFAR sees no reason for him not to do something like that again
  72. NP: >[And so I clearly need to keep close tabs on Amaloc.]
  73. NP: >[I am in a good position to do so.]
  74. NP: >[You needn't worry.]
  75. RO: so bascially trust you
  76. RO: why?
  77. NP: >[Because I'm one of the few neutral parties in this whole mess?]
  78. NP: >[Because I don't care to see anyone else killed?]
  79. RO: neutral party?
  80. RO: your one of Palomas friends arent you?
  81. NP: >[I am.]
  82. NP: >[If anything though, that just proves how few trolls are neutral in this mess, that one of Paloma's friends has to be the one to say that something must change.]
  83. RO: that would be more believable if her friends didnt have the most to gain from everyone becoming all peacful
  84. RO: and anyway thats not even saying you actually could do something if you wanted to
  85. NP: >[You doubt my effectiveness I see.]
  86. NP: >[That's fair.]
  87. NP: >[Thankfully, I hardly need your permission to keep everyone from murdering one another in a frenzy of blood and rage.]
  88. RO: er given CIRRIN RUNFAR might and dont laugh might be one of those murdering...
  89. RO: you kinda do need to prove it
  90. NP: >[I see.]
  91. NP: >[I would have to stop you, naturally.]
  92. RO: you think you could?
  93. NP: >[Oh, I don't even have to lift a finger to stop you permanently.]
  94. NP: >[I'd prefer a non-fatal method though, which would be much more difficult.]
  95. RO: ha see? it comes down to violence and killing in the end thats the only way
  96. NP: >[I must disagree.]
  97. NP: >[Regardless, there are currently no major disasters from any of the others brewing at the moment, aside from a few worrying things that might turn up that I am keeping track of.]
  98. NP: >[So you must understand here,]
  99. NP: >[From what I can tell, the next move in this cycle of revenge is for you to make a move.]
  100. RO: there are others but yeah
  101. NP: >[So you see, so long as you do not do anything foolish, no one else need die.]
  102. RO: nope Amaloc still needs to die
  103. RO: or no longer be a threat
  104. RO: whichever
  105. NP: >[...]
  106. NP: >[Hmm.]
  107. NP: >[This should be do-able.]
  108. RO: oh good finally someones listening
  109. NP: >[I hope you will give me the liberty of some time to talk to Amaloc and accomplish this before you try murdering him.]
  110. RO: well yeah its not like CIRRIN RUNFAR has plans that are on a specific time table
  111. NP: >[That is good to know.]
  112. RO: have breakfast brush teeth kill a guy dont be late for lunch...
  113. NP: >[I shall do all that I can to make things safer for us all, Cirrin.]
  114. NP: >[Thank you for speaking with me.]
  115. RO: erm sure thing
  116. RO: CIRRIN RUNFAR would be worried about you telling him about CIRRIN RUNFARs plans but pretty sure he expects it
  117. NP: >[What plans?]
  118. NP: >[A vague desire to kill him?]
  119. RO: yeah
  120. NP: >[That's not a plan.]
  121. RO: no its not
  122. RO: its all CIRRIN RUNFARs got
  123. NP: >[So what exactly would I be telling him?]
  124. RO: some trolls out to kill him?
  125. NP: >[Your "plans" are safe with me, Cirrin.]
  126. RO: sure thing
  127. NP: >[It would be counter-productive for him to suddenly be concerned with keeping you from killing him.]
  128. RO: really?
  129. RO: he doesnt expect someone at least to come after him?
  130. NP: >[Well, I think he generally always expects someone coming after him, but that's hardly abnormal for a troll.]
  131. RO: yeah like if any old troll might decide to randomly murderize you for tiny petty pointless reasons whats the point of trying to be careful to not piss people off?
  132. NP: >[But if I tip him off that you are giving serious thought to killing him, he might decide to cull you before you get the chance, so yes, telling him would be counter-productive to keeping the maximum number of trolls alive.]
  133. RO: *try to cull CIRRIN RUNFAR
  134. RO: maybe if considered CIRRIN RUNFAR a credible threat to fear...
  135. RO: *maybe if he
  136. NP: >[Anyway, I shall get started with that.]
  137. NP: >[Farewell for now, Cirrin.]
  138. RO: okay later then Yunato
