  3. Hi folks! You probably are most likely to have heard of me by my Gameplay name, Ever-Wandering Souls. Alternatively, if you only pay attention to big Gameplay events now and then, you may also know me by Harenhime, which was the nation I used to infiltrate the government that a mob of Gameplay newcomers put in place in the region The Black Riders after it's fall. But that's not the name I started NS by, so let's start there, in early 2013.

  7. Well actually, this isn't the name I started with either, but it's the first important nation I had, and the one I consider my first "main" rather than a trial/experiment. I honestly don't remember most of the first few months, but I was born in The South Pacific, hopped around a bit, and ended up back there shortly before Milograd coup'd it. I fought the coup, by being a mild annoyance on the RMB, and was eventually given a swift kick to The Rejected Realms. A nation that'd been protesting on the RMB alongside me via numerous puppets invited me back to their region, and thus I ended up in Black Mesa Islands. There, I hung out with (*namedrops some names some folks might know*) Johto and Kanto, Susria, Lucius Valentine, The United Broviet Federation of Nations, Transoxthraxia, Union of Socialist Powers, Jerusalemian, Isabella Hime/Vandoosa/Ozoi (and other Iwaku folks), Zavea, ShirayukiM, Prusseuss, The Sivent Isles, Mandicoria, and Spodehaven... plus some other folks. I still have our map here if you want to find more. http://i.imgur.com/dFVjN7S.png We had regional military RP's as well as a few other regional RP's, and I initially also participated in II (and still have the factbooks on Economa to prove it!). Eventually I migrated to P2TM, where my main and favorite RP was "The End" (and it's reboot), a post-apoc loosely based The Last of Us.

  9. That was all going swimmingly until Christmas of 2013. Incredibly long story made short, I was going through a very tough time in life, The End was slow due to the holidays, I had zero motivation or inspiration to start in on a new RP, and desperately needed something to distract me from life. I decided to look into Gameplay, mostly because it was something new to read and partly because beeing booted from TSP a while back had piqued my interest, and found this thread - https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=277341&start=50 You can find my first cringeowrthy GP posts there. I wasn't too impressed with defenders, was not a fan of raiders, and long story short, I joined a startup org called The Eternal Knights that aimed to fight raiding with a offense and subversion. Though offered a high position from the getgo, I knew I knew nothing and insisted on starting from the bottom, though I did rise quickly. Turns out the leader of that org was not very good at GP - I taught myself a lot of the basics of GP via trial and error, and eventually he annoyed enough people that much of the leadership walked out en masse to form the region Sicarius (we'll come back to that). I did not...then. A month later, though, I was fed up and left too on a silly and ill fated attempted to tour regions on both sides of R/D. I ended up going to The Brotherhood of Malice off the bat at the invitation of a player named Venico, drawn in in part by their promise of RP, and narrowly turning down a defender region. I spent some time there, making connections, but BoM kinda went inactive and I eventually joined old compatriots in Sicarius in mid to late 2014.

  11. There, we ran our own region, more purely raider. It went pretty well for a while, with us even recruiting two high-rank folks that TEK had sent to spy on us (effectively collapsing their second incarnation), but eventually we got backed into a corner by a player named Rifty who was attempting to force us into being his personal army. Rather than give in, we closed the region down, and scattered to the winds. I ended up back in BoM, which was still pretty inactive, and also in an older raiding region that was waking up from a bit of a drowsy period...The Black Hawks. It was there that I rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a member of our council (leading body) and a field marshal (military leader) in July 2015. I've continued to help lead TBH ever since, reaching our highest rank of General in November 2016. Though we've had TBH RP's on and off over the years, most of my RP these days consists of writing the occasional fancy raid report or WFE, and meeting weekly with my DnD group.
