  17. MOGRA is an otaku club in Akihabara. They play UNTZ, anime and video game music mostly. They stream most of their shows live.

  21. ANISON MATRIX is a monthly event held at MOGRA that features mostly anime OP/ED remixes. There have been threads on /a/ during ANISON MATRIX for quite some time now, and we've even had New Years Eve event threads stickied in the past. Most MOGRA thread posters are chill and awesome people to share Saturday morning with. Most MOGRA threads are markedly more civil than the rest of the board, with a fairly low incidence of shitposting (except when the stream suffers from technical issues).

  28. There are a few ways to do so. If you don't mind ads and using flash, just visit their ustream channel at http://ustream.tv/channel/mogra1. Many people on /a/ prefer to use Livestreamer (http://livestreamer.readthedocs.org) with a desktop media player instead of watching in-browser, as it provides a superior viewing experience. See the next section below for detailed instructions.

  32. ANISON MATRIX occurs on the first Saturday of every month, from 2300 Sat to 0500 Sun morning, Japan Standard Time. Look up your time differential from JST at (http://www.worldtimeserver.com/convert_time_in_JP.aspx).

  47. It's extremely easy to set up and use. Following instructions were kindly provided by another anon. If you don't use MPC, just substitute the directory/executable with your player of choice.

  49. 1) Start by downloading the Livestreamer installer (http://livestreamer.readthedocs.org) and running it.
  50. 2) When it finishes installing it should ask you to open the config file. Click yes (if you skipped this step, it's in "C:\Users\ANON\AppData\Roaming\livestreamer\livestreamercc")
  51. 3) Find where it says MPC-HC.
  52. 4) On the second row delete the "#" and make sure it is pointed to the correct directory for mpc-hc.exe. It should say something like: player="C:\Program Files (x86)\Media Player Classic Home Cinema\MPC\mpc-hc.exe"
  53. Save and exit.
  54. 5) If you installed livestreamer in a different directory or run an OS other than Windows, you're on your own/should know what you're doing already.
  55. 6) Once you've finished installing & setting it up, open up a command prompt and type "livestreamer.exe --retry-streams 15 ustream.tv/channel/mogra1 best" to get your stream on.

  57. You can also stream videos directly to your HDD for later viewing like so: "livestreamer.exe ustream.tv/channel/mogra1 best -o "C:\Streams\videoname.flv" while substituting the directory and file extension of your choice.

  59. (Youtube-dl is another option for downloading the stream without watching it simultaneously, and I get much better speeds with it than livestreamer, but it breaks occasionally. Experiment to find out what works for you.)
