The day was setting as the sky was stained in pink by the falling of the dying sun. Andrew walked off his horse and stood in front of an excellent tree. It was Ancient and rose high. The hussars were on their horses, walking around him, keeping an eye out for any potential threat that would dare challenge him.

It was calming, a moment of relief from the squabbles of politics and of war. As he stood, Almedia slowly tip toed behind him and surprised him with a peck on the cheek and hide to one side as he looks. He keeps turning a bit as she giggle till finally he caught her. She smiled with excitement as she held his hand and rested it on her belly.

At first, Vawdrey was a bit confused thinking she was hurt but after a moment of thinking. His eyes widened to the surprise as he soon realized that she wasn't hurt, but expecting a child.

"You're... pregnant?"

Almedia smiles and happily holds him and yelling "Yes!"

He was stunned as the news overwhelmed him with emotion. He held his wife closely, happily embracing her while full of joy that he will soon be a father. The the soldiers around cheered and awed for the great news. The commander was a hardy man with battle scars of long service stood nearby and couldn't hold back his tears of joy.

The next few days later, Andrew announced in his halls of their expected child. The soldiers tapped their swords with their shields, cheering for the future parents. Barons Greniade and von Kunert raised their mugs and cheered as Countess Ferel hugged a random servant trying serve drinks. Baron Raser looked around and then picked up a dog up to his arms. He happily cheered with it as it looked awfully confused.

As time went on, the day drew near till one day, a child was born. Andrew was off in the balcony that resided next to the door. He nervously waited till it all stopped. One of the nurses open the door and ask for him to come in. There, Almedia laid in bed as she held her child, smiling happily and sees that he entered. Andrew walks up slowly and then gently takes the child out of her hands and into his arms.

"Is it a boy or a girl?"

He gently holds his child, as Almedia looks up with exhausted yes but with a loving smile.

"It's a girl. She is Adelia Vawdrey Allaire."

Barely able to keep a smile from his face he looks at all of the witnesses that are all smiling, one of the nursing crying of tears of joy. Andrew looks over to a guard of his and then says ",Send invitations out to all the nations. Jorvik has had it's first heir..."

He looks over to his child and smiles full of pride.
