  3.
  4. As Anatoliy has already stated
  5.
  6. I will start with reciting
  7.
  8. certain text...
  9.
  10. I decided not to learn it by heart, excuse me
  11.
  12. But I can completely assure you that all these are
  13.
  14. indeed my thoughts, my words, from the first till the last word
  15.
  16. So I start
  17.
  18. One month has passed since the moment I had to leave the post of Minister of Defense of Donetsk People's Republic and commander of the militia
  19.
  20. I can't say that it was an easy decision for me
  21.
  22. And difficult were circumstances in which I had to make it
  23.
  24. Donetsk and whole group of DPR armed forces were in state of operative encriclement
  25.
  26. And only with enormous difficulties managed to repel constant enemy attacks
  27.
  28. And only few persons among the republic leaders knew that that situation was about to change soon
  29.
  30. and enemy will suffer serious, brutal defeat in the very next days
  31.
  32. I was among small circle of these people
  33.
  34. But I couldn't give my subordinates even a tiniest hint that we will start offensive operation and liberate positions captured by enemy soon
  35.
  36. Even more difficult for me was realizing that commanding the liberation of towns and settlements of Donbass abandoned (according to my direct orders, among other reasons) will be done not by me
  37.
  38. It was morally difficult to part wih my comrades
  39.
  40. during the last hour before the dawn when darkness is the densest, so to speak
  41.
  42. When failure of our cause appeared inevitable for many
  43.
  44. I won't focus on  the circumstances that forced me to resign
  45.
  46. I can only tell that decision I've made has justified itself
  47.
  48. Allowing to unite the DPR militia command right before the offensive
  49.
  50. avoid numerous conflicts, that were as leprosy corroding the republic from inside
  51.
  52. and also to provide reliable supplies of everything necessary for our units and groups
  53.
  54. During the last few weeks situation on the Novorossian frontlines has changed dramatically
  55.
  56. Punitive forces have been pushed back on the majority of directions and were forced to switch to defense
  57.
  58. Conditions for complete liberation of terriotries of Donbass from the punitive troops and squads controlled by Kiev government have been formed
  59.
  60. Under the DPR strikes, snarling enemy began rolling back on West, his troops and leaders were devoured by panic
  61.
  62. But what has happened next?
  63.
  64. Right before our eyes forces who had already almost killed "Russian Spring" and kept  attempting to eliminate People's Liberation movement of Russian people of Novorossia ever since then, have interfered once again
  65.
  66. There's no villainy these forces that already have shown themselves the most malicious way many times in modern history of our Motherland wouldn't commit
  67.
  68. Exactly them, controlled from abroad
  69.
  70. Played the crucial role in destruction of USSR in 1991
  71.
  72. And after that have openly tortured people [ed. in fact he says "peoples", meaning all nations] of Russia starting bacchanalia of pillage of enormous soviet economical and cultural heritage
  73.
  74. They've conducted liberal experiments terrible by their consequences over the remnants of our Motherland
  75.
  76. Which they used to (and keep doing it now) call with contemptuous epithet "this"
  77.
  78. Bacchanalia of destruction was followed by  bloody wars, wild criminality, amorality  rampage
  79.
  80. moral decay, propaganda of all thinkable disgusting vices
  81.
  82. elimination of economical independence and foreign policy sovereignty
  83.
  84. Even after failing attempts to destroy Russia completely in the beginning of 2000's
  85.
  86. These forces have never dissapeared
  87.
  88. covertly continuing their destructive activities, hoping that their hour will come again and they will finish their job
  89.
  90. However when the dawn of "Russian Spring" began glimmering on the horizon, when our country began rising from its knees, not in words but in reality
  91.
  92. Attempting to revise for themselves the results of Gorbachev's capitulation
  93.
  94. And return territories historically own territories, achieve real independence
  95.
  96. Fifth column has instantly mobilized all its forces available
  97.
  98. Returning of Crimea has not just caused shock for them
  99.
  100. and uprising of Novorossia caused real panic
  101.
  102. but also forced to reveal their true colours
  103.
  104. All their numerous agents alerted and thrown into a battle
  105.
  106. Agents who have successfully disguised as patriots and statesmen
  107.
  108. Reaching the highest echelons of power and even in surroundings of president of Russia under this disguise
  109.
  110. After actually moving out against people's and country's interests, they however
  111.
  112. keep openly stating that they are president's friends
  113.
  114. And call their obviously subversive and harmful actions the only right way to defend the Russian statehood
  115.
  116. You would ask "Where does such impudence and confidence in their own invincibility come?"
  117.
  118. Explanation is extremely simple:
  119.
  120. All that members of the fifth column value:
  121.
  122. money and other material recources as well as families and offsprings
  123.
  124. have been evacuated abroad long ago
  125.
  126. and its safety completely depends on will of their western masters
  127.
  128. During five months of struggle russian people of Novorossia have tasted fruits of this kind of subversive actions fully
  129.
  130. When Russian military aid was vitally necessary for practically almost weaponless militia
  131.
  132. and when it could lead to practically bloodless liberation of all russian-speaking regions
  133.
  134. agents of influence howled in unison about impossibility and inadmissability of direct military aid to the rebels
  135.
  136. Chasteners burnt people alive in Odessa, shelled with heavy artillery in Slavyansk, and rapidly formed combat-efficient army
  137.
  138. And their accomplices who infiltrated the leadership of Russian foreign policy have not just sabotaged any military or political help to rebels
  139.
  140. but also in full cooperation with Poroshenko, Akhmetov, Tuchinov, Taruta and other figures of Ukrainian oligarchy
  141.
  142. splitted ranks and command of militia
  143.
  144. not allowing to create united command center and with joint effort attempted to lead president of Russia to their traps
  145.
  146. Only persistence and dedication of militia didn't allow punishers to suppress the rebellion before the moment real Russian aid reached its destination
  147.
  148. Militia switched to the offensive
  149.
  150. But here traitors also have manifested themselves fully again
  151.
  152. They have immediately lend a helping hand to the punitive army which was on the brink of collapse
  153.
  154. Organizing the ceasefire trying to surrender all results of militia offensive during the negotiations, abandoning them at the mercy of Kiev junta
  155.
  156. It was impossible to come up with more discreditable conditions that those discussed on Minsk negotiations
  157.
  158. Meanwhile, Kiev hastily replenishes, rearms and trains its army
  159.
  160. preparing to continue genocide of Russian people of Novorossia
  161.
  162. As result we have completely the same situation that we had in the very beginning of our movement, only in way more difficult initial positions
  163.
  164. If during April-May Kiev hadn't got neither efficient army nor support of the population
  165.
  166. now punishers are mobilized and armed to the teeth
  167.
  168. and Ukrainian people suffering the massive  affection of propaganda
  169.
  170. which makes extensive use of neuro linguistic programming methods
  171.
  172. is significantly zombified, not able to distinguish truth from falsehood
  173.
  174. black from white
  175.
  176. During the same few months several packages of sanctions had been imposed against Russia
  177.
  178. And western high military ranks and diplomats, once again started talking about now a bit forgotten pretensions conerning South Ossetia and Abhkazia
  179.
  180. Direct threats heard from US controlled islamist terrorists
  181.
  182. They are preparing for long and serious war with Russia
  183.
  184. West and its fifth column here, practically don't even hide their plans to overthrow president Putin
  185.
  186. with following complete dismantling of Russia
  187.
  188. and their influence agents
  189.
  190. with all their strengths attempt to persuade country leadership that conciliation is not just acceptable,
  191.
  192. but is the only possible way
  193.
  194. The fact that enemies of Russia won't tolerate anything but the complete capitulation
  195.
  196. is carefully concealed from the public
  197.
  198. and, I don't exclude this possibility, from president himself
  199.
  200. This way all relatively favorable possibilities Russia had in spring, were left unrealized
  201.
  202. And on the countrary we are facing the constantly growing military threat
  203.
  204. Role of fifth column in this result is undeniable
  205.
  206. Why have our liberals opposed presdients course so irreconcilably and maybe somewhat suicidally?
  207.
  208. What made them so brave to openly challenge him and his policy
  209.
  210. In my opinion two main factors take place here:
  211.
  212. First of them is that fifth column hasn't got other option but to rebel
  213.
  214. for now covert, but it's insurgency
  215.
  216. Revolution from the top, started by Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin
  217.
  218. doesn't leave any chances for their political survival
  219.
  220. And their foreign masters don't let them just flee country to their "fairly earned" manors abroad
  221.
  222. The second factor is even more obvious:
  223.
  224. occupying serious positions in government and having significant financial and material recources
  225.
  226. Traitors seriously expect to seize the power themselves
  227.
  228. and on this new stage enthusiastically continue the process of pillage of remnants of once great country
  229.
  230. and utilization of nations inhabiting it
  231.
  232. But to implement this plan they have yet to conduct many preparations
  233.
  234. First of all to deprive president Putin of that great support of people
  235.
  236. he has fairly gained in the result of his external and internal policy cations of last years
  237.
  238. And what can be more profitable for this cause than betraying russians Novorossia, with following laying all responsibility for it personally on president?
  239.
  240. As figures of fifth column, as hyenas, diligently hide in his shadow, avoiding any publicity
  241.
  242. Plan outlined by enemy is now completely clear for us
  243.
  244. Maximal prolongation of war with following maximal amount of victims of Russian people on the boths sides of border possible, that's their task
  245.
  246. Don't leave militias even a chance to win
  247.
  248. Create growing bleeding ulcer at the Russian borders
  249.
  250. to cure which Russia will be forced to pour its resources drop after drop
  251.
  252. where in result of "step forward, than two steps backwards" policy any decisive success won't be reached
  253.
  254. At the same time burden of hundreds of thousands, and then millions of refugees will be placed upon Russian Federation
  255.
  256. and western sanctions will eventually undermine socio-economic health of state
  257.
  258. especially when oligarchy will try to compensate the losses of it at the expense of the the general population
  259.
  260. As result, traitors hope to lead the situation to the most disgraceful and humiliating peace treaty betraying Russian population of Ukraine
  261.
  262. To cause additional wave of protests inside Russia
  263.
  264. And after that, according to the techniques well-tested back in the beginning of 20th century
  265.
  266. "Moscow Maidan" where in alleged righteous outrage "righties" and "lefties", "partiots" and "liberals", will join
  267.
  268. Proven scenario of 1905-1917 years
  269.
  270. by the " humiliating defeat -- economical crisis -- government discreditation -- people's unrests -- palace coup" scheme, in actions once again
  271.
  272. In this respect defense of Novorossia and support of its people are vitally important to save Russia, and disruption of fifth column's plans
  273.
  274. If we will manage to achive victory there, we will manage to save Russia
  275.
  276. if we fail -- we will lose the remnants of our Motherland
  277.
  278. No compromises are possible now
  279.
  280. And the ones who will try to state opposite
  281.
  282. wittingly or not
  283.
  284. will be working according enemy's plans
  285.
  286. It's either-or
  287.
  288. Either Russia fully restores real sovereignty
  289.
  290. or it will be destroyed by coalition of external and internal oligarchy clans
  291.
  292. Estimating my role in struggle against the planes of subversive forces, I'd like to say
  293.
  294. That I have made my choice
  295.
  296. Main front line of this struggle is now here
  297.
  298. I hope that exactly in Russia I will be the most useful
  299.
  300. At the same time I emphasize once again:
  301.
  302. the ones who hopes or used to hope to use me personally, or my name in destructive purposes will have to be seriously disappointed
  303.
  304. No matter how critical I am about certain internal or external policy decision of president
  305.
  306. in conditions of war started against us, I consider it necessary to support him
  307.
  308. as the only legitimate superior commander
  309.
  310. the main guarantor of freedom and independence of the state
  311.
  312. In my opinion, to really save Novorossia suffering Nazi genocide against itself, its "supporters" who have lead it to the brink of the military failure have to be exposed and deprived of their positions in first place
  313.
  314. And the ones who started creating the image of "colonel Strelkov, leader of people's protest"
  315.
  316. I inform that they can rest not even hoping to buy me with fake praises
  317.
  318. The meaning of officer's duty is to serve his country and his people
  319.
  320. Trade even often unrewarding but faithful service for fake glory and fleeting popularity
  321.
  322. in favor of my country's enemies is the ultimate dishonor for me
  323.
  324. Let they finally realize, that there still are people (I'm not talking about myself only), who value own duty and honesty more then personal profits and vainglory
  325.
  326. And as events in Novorossia have shown, there are still lots of such people
  327.
  328. and we won't allow to  tear apart and loot Russia once again, as they destroyed Russian Empire in 1917
  329.
  330. and as they destroyed USSR in 1991
  331.
  332. that's all
  333.
  334. -- Andery Afanasyev
  335.
  336. ... wait a second
  337.
  338. *applause*
  339.
  340. No need for that
  341.
  342. -- Now the...
  343.
  344. -- to avoid the..
  345.
  346. -- chaos...  I ask you to raise your hand first please and we'll answer questions one at a time
  347.
  348. -- everyone will have possibility to ask
  349.
  350. ... one question at a time?
  351.
  352. -- One question
  353.
  354. -- If possible, without additional questions and such...
  355.
  356. -- stuff like "I have two questions..."
  357.
  358. -- lets avoid it today
  359.
  360. -- Let us start with you
  361.
  362. - Igor Ivanovich, Andrey Afanasyev, "Tsargrad" channel
  363.
  364. - What is your message to Russian people of Ukraine
  365.
  366. - of Novorossia, of Russia
  367.
  368. - What have we do now, to save the country?
  369.
  370. - Each person particularly
  371.
  372. This is a very difficult question
  373.
  374. basically
  375.
  376. In some time, I, with my comrades, will offer...
  377.
  378. certain..
  379.
  380. solutions, certain actions, in which people will be able to participate
  381.
  382. as well as...
  383.
  384. various public organizations, that would be aimed exactly to help Novorossia
  385.
  386. to help defending Russia
  387.
  388. For now I can only say that one has to strictly refrain from any opposition activities, of any *destructive* opposition activities
  389.
  390. and realize that the war is waged against us, and in conditions of war, any revolt in the rears is
  391.
  392. only helping the enemy
  393.
  394. - Alexandr Yulishin, "Komsomolskaya Pravda"
  395.
  396. - Igor Ivanovich please tell, do your words
  397.
  398. - "My place is here in Russia" if I got it correctly
  399.
  400. - mean that you won't return to...
  401.
  402. - any command post, in Novorossia
  403.
  404. - in Donbass, Luhansk
  405.
  406. - maybe other place...
  407.
  408. If... If
  409.
  410. it will be required, if I will be mobilzed, and sent
  411.
  412. to any region, I am ready to follow any order
  413.
  414. however at the moment, I don't consider such possibility
  415.
  416. - Alexandr Lugunov, "Novorossia" media agency
  417.
  418. - Igor Ivanovich, are you planning to engage in political activities here, in Russia, for example run for president or something?
  419.
  420. No, I am not. Generally I don't believe in the elections per se
  421.
  422. Look who has been elected in Ukraine? [ed. I see no way to translate it more precise, literally he says something like "who have we elected in Ukraine", like from position of Ukrainian local who didn't vote himself, but talks about his country in general, but in English this "we have elected" has also another meaning so confuses]
  423.
  424. - Maxim Surupov, RBC
  425.
  426. - Tell us, you've told about radical change in combat activities
  427.
  428. confirm or refute statement of Ukrainian side that this change was caused by intervention of Russian battalion tactical group
  429.
  430. - In the middle of August, when I left Novorossia
  431.
  432. there weren't any Russian troops on the territory [of Novorossia]
  433.
  434. I won't deny that there are volunteers who are soldiers of Russian army
  435.
  436. I had several officers in my brigade, who arrived completely voluntarily during their vacation
  437.
  438. Not sent by their command
  439.
  440. to defend Novorossia, fight in our units
  441.
  442. that's all I can tell you
  443.
  444. Naturally I ,more or less, know what's happening there now
  445.
  446. but I don't have any info about direct intervention of Russian troops
  447.
  448. - Natalia // can't make it out further, too quiet,  obviously introducing herself //
  449.
  450. - I'd like to know,
  451.
  452. we have ceasefire declared now, what's your opinion: why  the ceasefire is not profitable for so called party of war (Tymoshenko, Lyahshko, Kolomoyskiy),
  453.
  454. why they need to continue the war
  455.
  456. Well, in fact  it's extremly hard to call this a "ceasefire", since according to my info
  457.
  458. in average, every 2-3 hours artillery duels  are done at the front lines
  459.
  460. and usually it's the Ukrainian side who starts them
  461.
  462. even more: using the "ceasefire" enemy has captured list of settlements he was forced to abandon before
  463.
  464. and fortifies positions there
  465.
  466. they have taken back their troops from so-called "cauldrons" [ed. strategic-level encirclement]
  467.
  468. they're digging in Debaltsevo
  469.
  470. according to my info, they're preparing 3 (but most likely 4) strike groups
  471.
  472. which are intended to be used for offensive
  473.
  474. So...
  475.
  476. Ceasefire is considered by UA side solely as opportunity to replenish forces
  477.
  478. changing vehicles
  479.
  480. using the reserves and preparations for the attack
  481.
  482. So to expect any peace in such situation...
  483.
  484. that ceasefire will result in some positive...
  485.
  486. consequences is simply naÑ—ve
  487.
  488. - RenTV,  question about "Boeing"
  489.
  490. - Why the shot down "Boeing" is often connected with militias in media, what does it mean?
  491.
  492. - Who shot down the "Boeing"?
  493.
  494. Downed "Boeing" is connected to the militias only because it fell on the territory which was *partly* controlled by the militias at that time
  495.
  496. Frankly speaking, I don't know who shot down the "Boeing", as I was busy commanding the troops
  497.
  498. I simply had no time to conduct investigations
  499.
  500. Concerning my personal view on this situation:
  501.
  502. "Boeing" was hit by the Ukrainian side
  503.
  504. And it organized it beforehand, as enormous provokation
  505.
  506. All facts point on that it was guided to that point on purpose
  507.
  508. and Ukrainian side has created all the conditions to shoot it down, and when they saw that they're not able to do something they wanted -- they shot it down
  509.
  510. Otherwise all international media would be "bullying" us at their full capacity
  511.
  512. - Igor Ivanovich, Sergei Davidenko "Lifenews" [ed. not sure about the Surname, sorry too quiet]
  513.
  514. Do you regret, that you left Slavyansk, that you are now in Russia, what's your opinion - about what's happening now in Donetsk People's Republic, I mean from the commander point of view
  515.
  516. From the commander point of view, I'd like to say that in those conditions militias have to fight
  517.
  518. command acts quite adequate
  519.
  520. Besides that, one must not forget that militias are fighting being still outnumbered relatively to the Ukrainian forces
  521.
  522. however naturally number and armament of militias has improved
  523.
  524. but...
  525.
  526. Enemy's advantage in number of manpower and armament still remains rather great
  527.
  528. I won't be criticizing the militia in any way, especially after the success they achieved
  529.
  530. - Such phrase was told that...
  531.
  532. - It's impossible to imagine more humiliating agreements than the ones signed in Minsk
  533.
  534. - Do you think that there's any point in continuing these negotiations, especially - when Litvinov yesterday has stated that parts of this protocol signed in Minsk can't be fulfilled at the point
  535.
  536. I emphasize this:
  537.
  538. Agreement achieved in Minsk is ceasefire and temporarily truce
  539.
  540. I called humiliating the conditions, concerning further 'peaceful solution' which was offered by the Ukrainian side, and which *somehow* appeared acceptable for discussion at all
  541.
  542. My opinion is conditions like that can't be possibly discussed at all, as they lead only to humiliating defeat, complete destruction of Novorossia
  543.
  544. in fact, as well as all other consequences I've listed in my message
  545.
  546. that is colossal harm and  political crisis inside Russia itself
  547.
  548. - Is there point in further negotiations?
  549.
  550. I don't take the right to jugde whether is there any point in conducting negotiations or no upon myself
  551.
  552. In this case, I speak only as military
  553.
  554. Negotiation is diplomats' job, and make decision about the negotiations is prerogative of president of Russia and highest authorities
  555.
  556. But
  557.
  558. to agree to conditions offered by the Ukrainian side is in fact to capitulate
  559.
  560. -- Well, we have answered questions in such quick pace
  561.
  562. - May I...
  563.
  564. -- Oh, okay, come on
  565.
  566. - Question:
  567.
  568. - Did you receive the blessing on the activities you do now in Moscow, and ,in your opinion, is it important for Russian people to be inchurched people, or just be religious
  569.
  570. I still hasn't started any activity in Moscow, so I haven't receive any blessing on it yet
  571.
  572. Concerning the rest of your question
  573.
  574. I can say that I've always tried to receive blessing on any my decisive action from priests
  575.
  576. particularly my confessor and those priests who were near whatever place I was at at the moment
  577.
  578. Concerning the rest: it's very long, qusetion is long, too big to discuss it here
  579.
  580. - "Argumenty I Facty"  Georgiy Alexandrov
  581.
  582. - The qustion is next: you said that using the ceasefire Ukrainian side gathers troops to those areas where further development of combat activities are possible
  583.
  584. - could you make any forecast, estimate the potential of militias, who indeed have captured lots of Ukrainian  weapons and vehicles
  585.
  586. and how situation may develop if they'll fail to reach agreement ?
  587.
  588. The thing is that it's rather difficult to make any forecasts being absent from the battlefield for a month
  589.
  590. In short I can tell that enemy is prepraing for the offensive, all configuration of strike groups being prepared by them is aimed exactly on the offensive actions
  591.
  592. And at the same time they're fortifying defense positions in their rears
  593.
  594. where they're planning to sit in case of failure
  595.
  596. And in general, this configuration is aimed not against militia, but rather against Russia
  597.
  598. I mean exactly the defense configuration
  599.
  600. Preparing to crush militia, enemy at the same time prepares for possible war against Russia
  601.
  602. and full-scale war that is
  603.
  604. - And concerning the potential, do militias have enough forces after all?
  605.
  606. Militias naturally have forces to fight
  607.
  608. to fight and hold the enemy
  609.
  610. but... I will repeat it...
  611.
  612. without widescale support from Russia, which I have asked many times
  613.
  614. back in the day, and keep stating this now,
  615.
  616. militias are unable achieve complete victory over Ukraine supported by the whole so-called "Western community"...
  617.
  618. I repeat, I'm talking about complete victory
  619.
  620. And problem of "ulcer" bleeding at our border has to be solved anyway
  621.
  622. - Thank you
  623.
  624. - Igor Ivanovich, how would you describe the idea of building wall between Russia and Ukraine in one word?
  625.
  626. The thing is that walls in fact have never protected anyone
  627.
  628. The wall is just...
  629.
  630. as Berlin Wall was symbol of division of western and eastern blocks, the same way so-called "Ukrainian Wall" about to be built, will be just material symbol of separation of Ukraine from Russian world
  631.
  632. Unnatural separation
  633.
  634. Ukraine was and is, and will remain part of Russian world, no matter how someone wants it
  635.
  636. no matter how much they decieve people there
  637.
  638. You can build any walls there, but in the end, I'm sure no one is able to divide people
  639.
  640. -- Well, as I understand, it's...
  641.
  642. - Maybe the last question?
  643.
  644. -- We've finished one round of questions  for sure and the second one...
  645.
  646. - So the last question?
  647.
  648. -- Who has the last question for today?
  649.
  650. - When will war in Ukraine be over, and what will be the result?
  651.
  652. Where I Lord, I would gladly answer this question
