excellent. let me give you a quick overview of your powers.
This is not an exhaustive list, but covers most of the commonly used powers and such that you’ll use, and need for this interview.

1. The ability to use adminghost (aghost), which works exactly like the ghost command, but let’s you re-enter your body afterwards. This is mainly used to investigate issues in the round.

2. Access to ingame logs (attack logs, ALL LOOC, ALL deadchat logs, ALL warning and admin logs such as people opening valves or welderbombing).

3. The ability to adminpm (bwoink) people for a chat.

4. The ability to place varying degrees of punishment. Notes are staff only messages on a player’s’ account. Warnings are similar but require the recipient to acknowledge it, and they can see what it was for. Bans are time based (or permanent), and can be from the server or specific jobs. People can see why they were banned. You can also view a record of all players past notes, bans, and warnings.

5. Access to moderator only chat (msay) for communication, as well as access to other chats like AntagOOC and DeadChat (as stated earlier).

6. The ability to WIND players, freezing them from all actions.

7. The ability to kick players from the server, with an optional message.

You're sitting alone in the lobby when suddenly you see a flood of attack logs. It's only 0:20 mins into a round of voted mercenary. Seconds later, an ahelp comes in "HELP GANK???"

You find an engineer dead on the roof solars. The team of mercenaries is all around them. He responds, "The mercs just showed up and shot me for no reason???"

There are better ways to handle this. You could have aimed at him and threatened him, or cuffed him, etc etc. You don't just have to kill him. Make sure to keep this in mind next time

It's a simple button press to switch to aim, and you guys probably have jetpacks. There are also stunning weapons you could have used. Understand that even if it is harder to not just shoot him, it's always more rewarding in an RP sense.

"They were scared that you were going to ruin their plan by ratting them out, which you would do if you escaped. They had many methods to neutralize you, and they chose to kill you. It makes sense, but I still reminded them to consider the other options that don't result in death. From their point of view, you would've compromised them.

You have a pretty long history of going SSD/AFK without informing staff, or cryoing with your gear (it makes up the majority of your notes/warnings/bans). What steps have you taken to curb this behavior?

Ahelp staff if I can't cryo but have to leave, go to cryo if I can, and ping staff if something happens with the computer.

Cool. My next question is about this warning:

"Warning added by melodicvoid, for: Joined a canon round as Sec officer and played as a priest using common to preach until security detained them. as a sec officer this in improper RP. Next time please Ahelp for a role change when spawning in as the wrong thing.."

And I'd mostly just like to get some context about it, as it was only about a month ago.

I meant to join as priest but accidently chose sec officer. I just rolled with it and chalked it down to a clerical error IC.
There was a CCIAA interview about it.

Cool. Just one more dayban I have a question on, as it seemed a little bit out of the blue compared to your other notes. Again, I am mostly looking for context (if you remember), etc. At this point it was about 8 months ago but it is still something I'd like to ask about since as a moderator your entire history comes into play.

"tailson has banned deadlantern. - Reason: Joined as corporate reporter and spent the round rapping and twerking. Terrible attitude in ahelps. - This will be removed in 1440 minutes."

Basically, I'll do everything to make sure RP goes smoothly and people are enjoying it as they go on.

Alright, another question:

Sometimes as a moderator you'll have to do some unsavory work, such as talking to or applying punishment to a friend, banning someone who is honestly trying their best to adhere to the rules/change but can't, or any other number of scenarios. It is not uncommon for one to lose friends in the process. Is this something you are willing to risk if your application is moved to the trial phase and possibly accepted?
