Ra'Zhirr (Ra being a family honorific for trader)
Raised in Elsweyr, by a trading family, Zhirr was the eldest son of the family. However after a series of poor trade efforts by his father and some trade caravans being destroyed when sent out of Elsweyr to other areas of Tamriel (under suspicion of being spies or thieves) things went from bad to worse. Zhirr's father attempted to lead an all or nothing trade effort into Skyrim. Caught by the civil war and accused of spying from /both/ sides, and with a series of fleeing, eventually he lost his live and caravan.

Ra'Zhirr then inhereted little but the honorific of his family as traders. His remaining family scattered across Elsweyr and else where, Zhirr has made the move with his last remaining resources to Skyrim to both find the details of his father's death, recover what he can of his family's worth and perhaps even find out who was responsible and get some revenge. Although his idea of revenge at this point is rather limited to ruining the parties finacially.

Long term goal, find details of his father's death. Regain his wealth, rebuild his family's worth. Find out which side of the civil war was at the root of his father's death (or if it was both).
