After sneaking into your boyfriend’s/girlfriend’s house, you get caught and are kicked out. Sitting outside, you hear him/her and his/her parents arguing through the window to his room. Embarrassed, you begin to walk back home... but he/she starts to say things that make your heart flutter.

This can either be done solo or you can collaborate with another VA. If done solo, play role speaker 1

2: I told you not to sneak anyone into the house!

1: Why can’t I have anyone over?! Why can’t I have some freedom! I feel like I would be old enough!

2: You aren’t allowed to have anyone in this house because you don’t own it!

1: What do you want me to do?! Want me to sneak out instead? Cause you don’t own the house that I’m going to!

2: You’re my child and I’m responsible for you, I have to keep you safe and I don’t care if that means you can’t go out at night or if you can’t invite anyone over

1: [scoff] child… Do you think that I can’t handle myself? Do you think that I depend on your “safety and protection” every day?

You can’t just hold my hand throughout the rest of my life! Sooner or later, you’re going to have to let me go. When do you plan to do that?

2: You know I can’t just let you go out every single night, You just violated our trust and showed us an example of why we can’t let you do this anymore.

1: What trust did I break? Cause it never seemed like you had trust in me, to begin with!

2: I don’t care! Do you think you have any say? When all is said and done, You are still my son/daughter and you are to do what I say! You are not allowed to have anyone or invite anyone to our house! You are not allowed to sneak out of the house at any time! You know what?! Give me that phone of yours!

1: You’re taking my phone? [laugh] Yes! Taking my phone is going to stop me from leaving the house! Might as well take away my shoes as well? How could I walk without shoes on?!

2: I wasn’t going to do this in the beginning but you’re not going to leave the house unless for school for the next couple of months.

1: [sarcastic tone] oh my god! You got me there!

Do you really think that would be the nail in the coffin? [scoff]

You don’t trust me, I get that. But I don’t care how much you put into me. Look if I make a mistake let ME deal with the consequences.

You parents are so clueless.

[sarcastic tone] Your methods are magically going to solve every problem! Yes! Like I’m not going to resent you later in life!

2: Shut up! I’m talking to you! You heard me, those are the rules, and I feel like I have to say this clearly, You CANNOT INVITE HER/HIM OVER.

1: What!? What does this have to do with her/him? What did she do?

2: She/he is causing you to make, frankly stupid decisions with your life.

1: What the fuck! “Causing me to make stupid decisions.” You don’t know shit about her/him!

2: Don’t cuss around me young man/woman.

1: No I don’t give a shit, She/He is that last thing that would be the problem. I think you have the problem.

2: You know what because you have to resort to that language, I want you to cut off all ties with her

She/He doesn’t do any good anyway, after meeting her and “dating her/him” all you’ve done is get yourself in trouble.

1: She/He doesn't do any good? All I’ve done is get myself in trouble? Didn’t you do dumb stupid shit when you were younger? Let me live out my own life.

2: You’d be stupid if you disagree.

1: Well, call me stupid all you want.

She’s/he’s my fucking girlfriend/boyfriend! You think I would just give her/him up like that! You don’t know a single fucking percent what I we’ve gone through together since you were to busy up your own ass.

She/He is the reason why the fuck I’m alive! She/he had to take my ass out of my own head because you couldn’t do it yourself. You know how many times I’ve wanted to end it? But no all you wanted me to do is “get over it”. fucking pathetic.

She/He is the reason why I actually come home from school with a smile on my face. It’s not because I had a good day at school or the weather was nice that day or I got a good grade on my test. It’s because I know I have her/him mom/dad

You know why I stay up late at night doing apparently nothing? It’s because despite how many hours we spend together, I never understood a word or phrase she/he said. All I knew was that she/he was the girl/boy that I sat up at night thinking about.

2: So you’re in love with her/him? Do you even know what love is?

1: No, I don't know what love is... but this feeling that I have when I’m with her is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I know I don’t always make the best decision but trust me… it’s worth that feeling. Is that love? Cause it is to me…

Those nights that I snuck out, meeting with her by the hills and gazing at the stars on top of her/his jeep, or walking through the neighborhood under the warm streetlights, or foraging the local convenience store for our favorite snacks. Every time I did that, I felt that feeling.

Throughout our time together, I don’t care if it was under your approval or not those times were the best memories that I have ever had, and I don’t think they’re going to get beat out anytime soon. She/he gave me my first kiss, She/he gave me my first date, she’s/he’s the one that made me cook my own meals and clean up after myself. She’s/he’s the one that gave me hope. And I’m pretty sure that some good to me.

So for once just listen to me! She/he makes me feel like something that I can’t feel anywhere else in this world. She/he makes me feel like I'm alive again. She/He is an oasis from this shit world that we live in. She/He makes me feel like I'm walking on air. And I’m telling you… she’s/he’s the one
