  1. Szora led their way into his abode, tail shifting to stifle the latch so that none might enter behind the two. A good private discussion was long overdue.
  2.
  3. "Much to discuss between the two of us then." The demon noted as it made way over to slither and coax it's throne. "Of course, I'm sure we're on the same page as usual." Snakes would be snakes.
  4.
  5. "This raid upon Myllenoris. I'm intrigued, this Vale, this Crown." It hissed silently, then a sigh.
  6.
  7. "If the powers go split between us all, with Blaidd taking the majority of it.. no, no. I don't like that one bit Fidi. I want that Crown."
  8.
  9. The Serpent was blunt in speaking his intents to what was considerably his closest ally.
  10.
  11. "And when the time comes, I intend to do what I must to take it."
  12. (Szora)
  13.
  14. There were many things to discuss indeed.
  15.
  16. The snakes would be snakes.. and it's evident that neither of them are really keen on 'sharing' the power with the rest, if they do come out victorious in this war. Is it any wonder, then, that none of them would be keen to let the Crown go to anybody else?
  17.
  18. But there's more to it as well.
  19.
  20. "I do not really agree with many things in general."
  21.
  22. "Namely, Therians trying to make the gate to 'other' spirit realms.. as if that's anyhow relevant to what we desire. Although, I suppose there's no harm in letting them think that it can access other spirit wilds."
  23.
  24. "Until it's time to unleash the Helheim's horde."
  25.
  26. The fact that Fidi was interested only in these results shouldn't be a surprise at all.
  27.
  28. "I would eventually want to tap into the spiritual properties of the Vale."
  29.
  30. "This Teraphim... they are an entirely different breed, yes? Created in the image of Aschea." And Fidi wanted to create the new 'evolution' for humanity.
  31.
  32. "With my mastery of spatial arts to tap into the power of Helheim.."
  33.
  34. "And then, further experimentation to begin the evolution of all that I dreamed of.." Couldn't Szora tell yet where he's headed with this thought process?
  35.
  36. "I could use Vale's power to create a new kind."
  37.
  38. "Much like Teraphim were once made."
  39. (Fidi)
  40.
  41. The Serpent fell more relaxed upon his throne as Fidi spoke, listening carefully to his response. It was something he'd brought up within the meeting, those ambitions he'd never laid bare before. Very interesting, a goal truly worth working towards.
  42.
  43. "Oh?" The demon leaned forth, slightly, curiously. "You will breed a new species then?"
  44.
  45. How quaint. Quite the accolade that would be, indeed. One worthy of a Primordial themselves.
  46.
  47. "Supposing our intrusion doesn't rid the Vale of most of it's capabilities, I'd say it's a fine goal." The Serpent agreed.
  48.
  49. "You once told me that I should aspire for more, Fidi. I shouldn't be surprised that your goals landed so high." Truly, Fidi had some outlandish ideas. Amusing ideas. "It's unfortunate that Zolael is not here with us, for now.. but we've grown as well. Blaidd laid his claim upon these Dreadwoods when we were but inklings, when we had no say. He may stand as elder, but he holds no higher standing with me, Kin. He expressively wishes that I would remain still, and remain decent." Sights narrowed for a moment.
  50.
  51. "I simply don't have it in me." He hissed, raising his tail to rest his chin upon.
  52.
  53. "That said.." He digressed, "I do support your goals. This army we've amassed now is merely the beginning. Soon we'll have a true army at our hands. Soon we'll not only deliver severance to Esshar -- but to all of Eternia. Soon, Kin.." He paused.
  54.
  55. "We will rise again."
  56.
  57. Whether he meant Demonkind as a whole or Serpentkind alone, was left to speculation.
  58. (Szora)
  59.
  60. These goals were something that the Serpent was all too keen to pursue.
  61.
  62. To establish entirely new breed of species, to push them into something entirely else.. and not only tap into Vale's origins of Teraphim, to twist and turn it into something entirely else, but also to make sure that his own would arise to this world. It's all too fitting to hear of this..
  63.
  64. That, at last, their plans seem to be going well.
  65.
  66. "The new species that could create the evolution I crave for."
  67.
  68. "Humanity has grown terribly stagnant. They need something- no, someone to shake things up for them. They need something new brought to the mix.."
  69.
  70. "And I just know the right ingredients."
  71.
  72. Everything else? The Crown, the lands, and even his own life? It can go to hell, for all that he cares; his own existence is only valuable until he's capable of achieving these goals - whether that mindset ever changes or not, however, is an entirely different scenario.
  73.
  74. For now, he recognizes himself as the bearer of this chaotic reign, of this will that bring about the necessary change.
  75.
  76. "It shall rise, soon."
  77.
  78. "This war to be waged against Myllenoris is something that we can use greatly. Something to turn things around." But..
  79.
  80. "Once you acquire the Crown, what do you intend to do?"
  81. (Fidi)
  82.
  83. "Soon indeed." Szora agreed, humming a bit in consideration.
  84.
  85. "Once I receive that crown? Firstly I'll be moving to overtake the Dreadwoods from Blaidd… should he not die for the Crown. Afterwards..." He chuckled a bit. "Well that all depends on how this war goes. There are more settlements uninvolved. It would be amusing to overtake Osrona afterwards. Cleansing the world of this 'Faith'.." The idea alone mused the Serpent.
  86.
  87. "I'd have those Faithful cowering in the very forests they'd driven us to. Of course, my plans involve our alliance being prosperous. I'd assist in raising your army, your experiments -- and with that, we set sights on the rest of Esshar, then Eternia."
  88.
  89. For if all came to fruition, it was a likely possibility.
  90.
  91. "One step at a time however. It is fruitless to plan with objectives I've yet to accomplish. My sights now are set upon the crown, and uponthe Therian Hunter Thryme. Short-term goals for long-term ambitions, you know."
  92. (Szora)
  93.
  94. One step at a time.
  95.
  96. He could recognize this, truthfully; he could recognize this as something that would bring about the necessary merit for them all to accomplish this one at a time. The Crown.. he can see it being just as useful as any other relic - to be something that Teraphim bear for their own benefit.
  97.
  98. But in the end?
  99. He would rather pursue what he set out.
  100.
  101. The evolution. To bring about the necessary change to this world, through one act after another- but before that could potentially be changed, the status quo of entire continent must be shaken up. It must be torn asunder, set aflame..
  102.
  103. "This is how building something new works."
  104.
  105. "You must tear everything apart. Burn it down, destroy it, shove it aside so that it could never be within sights again." The great dream of destruction and reign of chaos before something else.
  106.
  107. "So that from the ashes... new dream can arise."
  108.
  109. "And there's so much to break down before you can build it back up.."
  110.
  111. Is it a brooding, quiet laughter? The Serpent could barely contain his own excitement, with the promise of all that would be happening.. but how could he keep it entirely to himself, when the prospects are this great?
  112.
  113. "One step at a time, we'll accomplish it all."
  114.
  115. "The entirety of Esshar will never be the same again."
  116. (Fidi)
