[19:00] <!CYOA-sama> Even in the cities where order remains the citizens are under constant threat.
[19:00] <!CYOA-sama> It's a kingdom of survival of the fittest.
[19:01] <!CYOA-sama> And it's in this Kingdom our adventure takes place.
[19:01] <!CYOA-sama> In the City of Maeder, Ravencroft there is a morgue.
[19:01] <!CYOA-sama> And in that morgue, two men "work"
[19:02] <!CYOA-sama> Belor and Sazir.
[19:02] <!CYOA-sama> They are indeed morticians.
[19:03] <!CYOA-sama> But unbeknowst to the rest of the town they also use their morgue, and their supply of corpses, for their own dark rituals.
[19:03] <!CYOA-sama> And lately... they've been very busy.
[19:04] <!CYOA-sama> In the absense of a church or organized police force it falls to them to clean up and investigate murders.
[19:05] <!CYOA-sama> And lately... they've had a lot to clean up.
[19:05] <!CYOA-sama> It began 6 days ago.
[19:06] <!CYOA-sama> A farm boy that nobody knows just happened to wander into town.
[19:07] <!CYOA-sama> He's not the kind of person to blend in.
[19:07] <!CYOA-sama> Anywhere else in the world he'd have set off alarms.
[19:07] <!CYOA-sama> But here he's just another shady man.
[19:07] <!CYOA-sama> On the surface at least.
[19:08] <!CYOA-sama> 6 Days ago was the first murder.
[19:08] <!CYOA-sama> AWidow and her two daughters were killed.
[19:09] <!CYOA-sama> The three of them were impaled on wooden stakes in front of their own home, their entrails scattered between them.
[19:10] <!CYOA-sama> The grizzly scene left everyone who witnessed it sickened.
[19:10] <!CYOA-sama> Except for two people.
[19:11] <!CYOA-sama> As they examined the scene Belor and Sazir came to three conclusions.
[19:11] <!CYOA-sama> First... all three of the women were raped.
[19:11] <!CYOA-sama> Second, they were all killed without the use of a weapon.
[19:12] <!CYOA-sama> Each one was thrown onto the steaks like a sack of potatoes and disemboweled by their killer bare hands.
[19:12] <!CYOA-sama> Third, and possibly the only incorrect assumption, was that this was a ritual killing.
[19:12] <!CYOA-sama> It was not.
[19:13] <!CYOA-sama> It was merely a game of sport.
[19:13] <!CYOA-sama> That coincidentally resembled a ritual killing.
[19:13] <!CYOA-sama> Such an outrageous coincidence should never happen.
[19:13] <!CYOA-sama> But it did.
[19:14] <!CYOA-sama> A day later, sure enough, the pair were called out to investigate a second killing.
[19:14] <!CYOA-sama> This time a fat wealthy bussiness man was killed.
[19:15] <!CYOA-sama> When they arrived at the scene the two were positively delighted by the degree of brutality.
[19:15] <!CYOA-sama> The pig of a man was force fed all the food in his kitchen.
[19:15] <!CYOA-sama> Fed until his stomach ruptured.
[19:16] <!CYOA-sama> Fed all of his food, then all of his money.
[19:16] <!CYOA-sama> Then he was stomped to death.
[19:16] <!CYOA-sama> One of the guards innocently inquired between dry heaves.
[19:16] <!CYOA-sama> "Couldn't we discover the killers shoe size from the.... footprints?"
[19:17] <!CYOA-sama> The answer was a simultaneous "No" from the two men.
[19:17] <!CYOA-sama> The disgusting pile of meat and bile was crushed flat.
[19:17] <!CYOA-sama> But it wasn't by the killer.
[19:18] <!CYOA-sama> It's likely he was only stomped once by the killer.
[19:18] <!CYOA-sama> The hundred of thousands of stomps that left him a greasy stain, were from none other than his scorned servants.
[19:19] <!CYOA-sama> What was more interesting to the two.
[19:19] <!CYOA-sama> Was the fact that this murder.
[19:19] <!CYOA-sama> Took place at the exact same distance from their morgue.
[19:20] <!CYOA-sama> As if the killer was trying to construct some sort of ritual site.
[19:21] <!CYOA-sama> The pair both came to the same conclusion, surely these killings are the work of a demon or evil spellcaster of some sort.
[19:21] <!CYOA-sama> It is true that their morgue would serve as an excellent focal point for a pentagram.
[19:22] <!CYOA-sama> The evil acts they've committed within the walls have transformed it to a ritual site.
[19:22] <!CYOA-sama> To the two men of dark faith it was an obvious assumption.
[19:22] <!CYOA-sama> But it was wrong.
[19:24] <!CYOA-sama> Once again, the man who committed these crimes was not a cleric, nor a demon, nor an evil wizard.
[19:24] <!CYOA-sama> He was simply a killer.
[19:24] <!CYOA-sama> But what else is faith if not finding miracles where there are only coincidences?
[19:25] <!CYOA-sama> The murders continued.
[19:25] <!CYOA-sama> On the 3rd day there was the first survivor.
[19:25] <!CYOA-sama> The two victims were run through with a spear mid coitus.
[19:26] <!CYOA-sama> Then their bodies sewn together meticulously.
[19:26] <!CYOA-sama> How could a human be capable of such unbridled rage and still have the patience to defile corpses in such an elaborate way?
[19:27] <!CYOA-sama> Surely it must be the work of a demon.
[19:27] <!CYOA-sama> The survivor, if you can call her that was the mans wife.
[19:28] <!CYOA-sama> Bound and gagged after being raped, she watched from the closet she was trapped in as her husband cheated on her.
[19:28] <!CYOA-sama> Then she watched as the two of them were savagely killed.
[19:28] <!CYOA-sama> No matter how much she was questioned the woman refused to give any information on her attacker.
[19:29] <!CYOA-sama> Or perhaps she doesn't even consider him her attacker any longer.
[19:29] <!CYOA-sama> Surely this ability to take advantage of the evil in the heart of this woman was not the act of a human.
[19:30] <!CYOA-sama> Surely the continuing pattern of the murders forming the points of a pentagram is not a coincidence.
[19:33] <!CYOA-sama> The 4th day, another philanthropist is killed.
[19:34] <!CYOA-sama> The woman, who gained her wealth through seducing men, was stripped naked and covered in melted gold.
[19:34] <!CYOA-sama> Her screaming face immortalized in the grizzly statue as it cooled.
[19:34] <!CYOA-sama> All of her coins and jewelry, meticulously melted as she begged for mercy.
[19:35] <!CYOA-sama> Then poured over her body.
[19:37] <!CYOA-sama> The 5th day, an entire orphanage was burned to the ground.
[19:37] <!CYOA-sama> But none of the orphans were killed.
[19:37] <!CYOA-sama> Not a single one.
[19:37] <!CYOA-sama> All of them were carried out of the building as they slept.
[19:38] <!CYOA-sama> And the vile old bastard that "took care" of the orphans...
[19:38] <!CYOA-sama> Was lit aflame.
[19:39] <!CYOA-sama> His mouth... and other orifices stuffed with oil soaked rags.
[19:39] <!CYOA-sama> He burned like a candle chained to his mastress.
[19:40] <!CYOA-sama> The flames burned unnaturally hot.
[19:41] <!CYOA-sama> The glass of the windows warped.
[19:41] <!CYOA-sama> The wooden building was burned down to it's frame.
[19:42] <!CYOA-sama> As if the evil of the burning man served as fuel to spur the fires heat.
[19:42] <!CYOA-sama> None of the orphans woke up, even as the fire blazed. They all slept peacefully, probably for the first time in their lives.
[19:43] <!CYOA-sama> Then... the 6th day came.
[19:43] <!CYOA-sama> And the murderer was caught in the act.
[19:44] <!CYOA-sama> Among the guards one man was able to figure out the same pattern as the two morticians.
[19:44] <!CYOA-sama> Even if it was just a coincidence, the man was intercepted in the alley before he could kill again.
[19:44] <!CYOA-sama> Or so it should have been.
[19:44] <!CYOA-sama> But the towering lanky man...
[19:45] <!CYOA-sama> Proceeded to paint the alley walls with the blood of over a dozen guards.
[19:45] <!CYOA-sama> 13 armed guards, killed by a single unarmed man, with his bare hands.
[19:45] <!CYOA-sama> He was eventually restrained.
[19:45] <!CYOA-sama> Today... he is to be publicly executed.
[19:47] <!CYOA-sama> That's what happened.
[19:47] <!CYOA-sama> And now.
[19:48] <!CYOA-sama> Convinced this exquisitely talented killer was sent by the god of slaughter himself, the two morticians begin their ritual.
[19:48] <!CYOA-sama> For so long you two have tolerated this city.
[19:49] <!CYOA-sama> Now you have been given a chance to trigger a grand scale and send the entire thing into ruin all at once.
[19:49] <!CYOA-sama> You will not pass it up.
[19:49] <!CYOA-sama> You chant rhythmically.
[19:50] <!CYOA-sama> Vile power wells up from the woman, whose body you've slashed open as she dies.
[19:50] <!CYOA-sama> With that sacrifice the ceremony is complete.
[19:51] <!CYOA-sama> Now to seal the chamber in total darkness.
[19:51] <!CYOA-sama> Besides... it's almost time for the show.
[19:54] <!CYOA-sama> Meanwhile.
[19:55] <!CYOA-sama> "So how bout them murders lately, Vripe?" The bartender asks as he pours you another drink.
[19:55] <!CYOA-sama> That's enough of that, back to the important characters.
[19:57] <!CYOA-sama> The two of you gather at the town square.
[19:58] <!CYOA-sama> It's cloudy today.
[19:58] <!CYOA-sama> A storm is coming.
[19:58] <!CYOA-sama> You're both fully armed, and prepared for what is about to happen.
[19:59] <!CYOA-sama> The executioner stands ready.
[19:59] <!CYOA-sama> The captain of the guard reads his long boring testimony of the killers crimes.
[20:00] <!CYOA-sama> The killer, who introduced himself as Ezekiel before killing the majority of the town guard, smiles widely.
[20:01] <!CYOA-sama> He seems totally indifferent to the fact he's about to die.
[20:01] <!CYOA-sama> Finally.... the time for the execution comes.
[20:02] <!CYOA-sama> The fat masked man lifts the scythe directly above his head and prepares to bring it down....
[20:03] <!CYOA-sama> Until black lightning crashes down onto the scythe.
[20:03] <!CYOA-sama> The crowd begins to flee as the two of you look on in awe.
[20:03] <!CYOA-sama> The scythe tumbles through the air as the charred corpse of the executioner falls down.
[20:04] <!CYOA-sama> Ezekiel stands.
[20:04] <!CYOA-sama> And takes the scythe up in his hands.
[20:04] <!CYOA-sama> A clap of thunder as lightning crashes down onto the city.
[20:05] <!CYOA-sama> Ezekial laughs...
[20:05] <!CYOA-sama> As do the two of you.
[20:05] <!CYOA-sama> It's begun....
[20:05] <!CYOA-sama> (You now have control of your characters.)
[20:06]  * Ezekiel twirls the scythe around and gets a feel for it
[20:06]  * Belor_ looks over toward Sazir "I think it's time to have some fun dear friend"
[20:07]  * Ezekiel smiles to himself as he plays with his new toy, "Oh yes, this will do quite nicely...."
[20:07]  * Vripe drools
[20:07]  * Sazir looks back at Belor and nods back. "Obviously my good friend, tis time to do our work."
[20:07] <!CYOA-sama> The crowd flees like a flock of started sheep.
[20:08]  * Aeria opens her eyes, she gazes down at the ground from the sky, her body cutting through the air. She smirks sadistically as her eyes glint. "And it all comes tumbling down..."
[20:08] <!CYOA-sama> WHAM
[20:08] <!CYOA-sama> Black feathers flutter around as an object lands between the three of you drawing your attention.
[20:08] <!CYOA-sama> It appears to be a winged girl.
[20:08]  * Ezekiel turns towards the new disturbance with an inquisitive look on his face
[20:09]  * Belor_ smiles "Then let us go meet the holy messenger......." looks over to whatever that fluttering noise is
[20:09] <!CYOA-sama> Thunder cracks again.
[20:09]  * Sazir looks back up with hopes in his eyes, hopes that something else might fall. Once that didn't happen he goes to where the winged creature is.
[20:10] <!CYOA-sama> (Just to calrify that wasn't a graceful badass WHAM landing, it was more of a Chris Rock from Dogma WHAM)
[20:10]  * Ezekiel jumps down off the executioners platform and makes his way towards the winged girl
[20:10] <Sazir> (Big tittied undead women don't just fall from the sky ya know!)
[20:10] <@Ezekiel> (pfffffffft)
[20:11]  * Belor_ starts to shake with glee "Oh friend lets go see what our lord has brought us on this day"
[20:11]  * Aeria stands up and cracks her neck, her wings flapping a bit as she gets a feel for the world around her. She looks up toward the sky. (This place Father...why here). She looks back down at the group approaching her and merely draws her sword, her violet orbs showing a twinge of bloodlust.
[20:11] <@Ezekiel> Are there any guards remaining around us?
[20:12] <!CYOA-sama> No, EVERYONE is running
[20:12] <!CYOA-sama> >BLACK

[20:13]  * Sazir is clearly dissapointed with the gift their lord has given them. "Not much of a gift friend, but maybe she'll give us something of value on the slab of the morgue."
[20:13]  * Ezekiel looks over the girl and lets out a low whistle "Most interesting....."
[20:14] <!CYOA-sama> Another crack of unholy thunder as thick gloopy drops of blood fall from the sky.
[20:14]  * Belor_ squints his eyes at the figure......is that....
[20:14]  * Belor_ turns toward Sazir quickly "We must hurry Friend"
[20:15]  * Belor_ walks toward the figure with a quickened pace
[20:15] <@Ezekiel> "....SO MANY INTERESTING THINGS TODAY, HAHAHAHAHAHA!" and with that follows along, because why not? It's been a long time since he was this entertained
[20:16]  * Sazir nods to Belor. "Let us grab the gift and go back to the shrine then, I don't want to keep her waiting for us more than she already has."

[20:17]  * Belor_ nods in agreement "We have waited too long already. We must move quickly"

[20:19]  * Belor_ as he gets closer he throws himself onto his knees " Oh Holy patron of our lord we have waited eagerly for you"
[20:20] <Sazir> "Oh yes, we communicate it with our Lord and he has brought you to us. Now come, there is not much time. Though what is under all that filthy healthy skin I wonder..." The last part he mutters to himself as he looks over the winged person.

[20:24]  * Aeria turns around and merely grabs the human. "Indulge in the slaughter, it is no game, it is purpose. Father's purpose."
[20:24]  * Sazir lazily looks around and takes out his scapel. "Well at least I'll see more beautiful bones today." He then joins the rest slashing apperantely some selective people.
[20:25] <!CYOA-sama> With each splash of blood, a crimson humanoid rises from the dirt and begins mauling innocents.
[20:25]  * Aeria pushes him back and rushes toward the crowd again, once again hacking and slashing through the countless new gifts Father has given her.
[20:25] <@Ezekiel> "Father huh? I find praying to big guys in the sky don't really fit well with me" as he turns and slashes someone "AFTER ALL, WHY PRAY TO THE MIDDLE MAN WHEN YOU CAN PRAY TO THE VERY ACT OF DEATH ITSELF, HAHAHAHA?!"
[20:26] <!CYOA-sama> In only a few moments the courtyard has been totally cleared out.

[20:29]  * Ezekiel takes a break, grabs a finger of whiskey that has blood spilled into it and drains it in one drink
[20:29]  * Aeria stands on top of a pile of bodies, her wings expanding as she jumps in the air, flying toward her next target. "FOR THE SLAUGHTER~!"

[20:33]  * Sazir puts the body down after it finally gives up on that pesky thing called life, he then gathers it with other bodies like it. "Thank you Lord for this great bounty you have given me." He then begins to say words in a strange language as the dead begin to rise. "Yes, now go my lovelies, GO AND ENJOY YOURSELVES TO THE FULLEST!"
[20:33]  * Aeria flies roughly 30 feet above the small group that flocked to her, merely watching the acts of carnage. (This...This is what I was made for.)

[20:48]  * Ezekiel begins rolling around on the floor laughing
[20:48] <Vripe> "Whatever it is, I hope I'm on your guys' team.  Unless everyone else was, too."
