  1. Clean install any ROM - Properly:

  3. 1) Backup apps & or app data via Migrate/MyBackup Pro (i recommend, as do many, using Migrate or MyBackup Pro over Titanium Backup - Ti has a horrible history with myself and others of borking restores...MyBackup Pro has never let me down) - leave set backup location to internal (its faster and less prone to errors) and then copy the Migrate folder to external sd card (if using Migrate) OR copy rerware folder to external sd card if using MyBackup Pro
  4. 2) Backup Downloads/Pictures/Media etc - DCIM/Pictures/Music/Movies folders to PC
  5. 3) Reboot to recovery (TWRP)
  6. 4) Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Tick all except MicroSD Card, then swipe to wipe
  7. 5) Press Back until you see the option to Format Data
  8. 6) Format Data, then type "yes" and swipe to format data IMPORTANT: this WILL remove Downloads/Pictures/Media etc - DCIM/Pictures/Music/Movies folders, make sure you have a copy - Step 2
  9. 7) Press Back until you get to the main menu
  10. 8) Reboot > Recovery > swipe to reboot to recovery
  11. 9) Advanced > File Manager > external_sd > tap Android folder, tap blue folder in bottom right corner, tap delete, swipe to delete. Press back, locate LOST.DIR, tap blue folder in bottom right corner, tap delete, swipe to delete
  12. 10) Install > locate ROM file > swipe to flash
  13. 11) Locate G-Apps file > swipe to wipe
  14. 12) Locate Magisk file > swipe to flash
  15. 13) Reboot
  16. 14) Setup ROM

  18. Restore apps:

  20. via Migrate:
  21.  
  22. 1) Reboot to recovery
  23. 2) Install > locate Migrate folder on extenral sd card > select backup zip > swipe to flash
  24. 3) Reboot
  25. 4) Wait for GUI to load and settle
  26. 5) When Migrate Helper App toast appears click on it
  27. 6) Choose either restore all or choose what to restore
  28. 7) Remove Migrate Helper App at completion of restore as guided
  29. 8) Reboot

  32. via MyBackup Pro:
  33. 1) Install MyBackup Pro
  34. 2) Copy rerware folder from external sd card to internal sd card
  35. 3) Run MyBackup Pro
  36. 2) Restore apps & or app data
  37. 3) Reboot
