Bimbo Pirates Ch33- Sky Island

After a night of perpetrations, the ships were ready to ride the Knock-Up stream and get to Sky Island.

“Well this should be interesting.” Valentine said “Either it’ll all go great and we’ll be on an island in the clouds or this is all just make-believe and we’ll crash back down and die a horrible painful death.”

“Wow, thanks for that happy thought.” Nojiko sighed.

“I’m sure it will be fine.” Nami smiled “And who knows maybe we’ll find something interesting up there on a sea of clouds.”

With nothing else to do but get to it the crews assembled on their various ships and headed out to see, the goal was simple, hit the current and ride it into the sky, it would be dangerous but doable with a bit of timing.

“Looks like that’s it” Alvida gestured to a whirlpool like current that was forming.

“Yep it is.” Nami nodded “We’ll need to get closer.”

“Are you sure this is gonna work?” her sister asked.

“Well Luffy is headed right for it so it’s not like we can let him do it alone.” Nami laughed “Let’s go!”

The Bimbo Pirates turned their sails to lead them deeper into the current, the sea inside it was eerily calm.

“Nami?” Carina said “I’m not seeing nothing.”

“Trust me, wait for it.” Nami held her hands up “I can feel it…”

Suddenly the calm sea erupted in a geyser like explosion that lifted the ships skyward.

“See I told you!” Nami laughed as the swirling stream threw them up towards the sky “I know sea currents.”

“Yeah, you do.” Nojiko said hanging on to the railing.

“Good thing the ship was reinforced.” Vivi added getting rocked about a bit “This is one forceful gush.”

“It’s basically an underwater eruption.” Nami said as they went higher and higher, water splashing on the deck and soaking their hair and clothes.

“We must be getting closer I can’t even see the sea anymore.” Olive looked around at the clouds.

“Yeah, the air is getting thinner too.” Alvida took a deep breath.

“It will probably take some time to adjust to.” Carmen said.

“Nah I’m good.” Alvida casually lifted her club.

“Even with bimbo powers you’re a freak of nature!” The chef yelled catching her breath.

The crew looked up and saw the sun was starting to bleed into the clouds.

“Looks like we’re about to arrive.” Robin smiled.

The ship broke through the final cloud layer and flew out, all below them were thick fluffy clouds and as they landed the ship didn’t fall through them instead it floated on the clouds as though they were simply water.

“It’s a sea of clouds.” Nami awed.

“Looks like Luffy and the others made it.” Nojiko looked through some binoculars “But they landed about a mile or so that way.”

“Let’s go say hello.” Nami smiled “Set sail.”

The crew moved over and reunited with their allies from the lower ocean who had already gotten into conflict with a denizen of this sea and met an old man who lived here and rode around on some sort of bird horse. The man gave them all an emergency whistle they could use to call him if things got too dangerous for them.

“So, people live up here, cool.” Luffy smiled.

“I wouldn’t have expected it but I’m also not all that surprised honestly.” Nami hummed “I’ve seen enough strange things on the Grand Line already, people living on an island in the sky doesn’t seem all that outside of the norm.”

Heading higher via the rivers of clouds the group passed through a gate, given they had none of the local currency they were unable to pay the entry fee yet got allowed inside anyway. Eventually they saw land, well more of a cloud beach clearly made of a different substance than the sea they were sailing on.

“Seems like as good of a place to stop as any.” Nami nodded.

“Can we just drop the anchor?” Olive wondered.

Suddenly everyone was drawn to the sound of a soft voice, at the beach was a beautiful young woman wearing a pink dress with black detailing, she was sitting on the sand playing a sort of harp, but by far her most interesting feature was her back, which sported two gentle looking white feathered wings.

“An angel?” Nami whispered.

“Heso.” The woman smiled kindly “Are you people from the Blue Sea?
