- “Daddy, I had a nightmare.”
- I rub my eyes and see my daughter standing beside my bed, her ears and hair messy and disheveled. She tightly grips her tiger plush as her tears soak it.
- “What?” I mumble
- “I’m scared Daddy. Can I sleep with you and mommy?”
- “Sure.”
- I close my eyes as I feel her jump in our bed. Then I feel her tug the back of my shirt.
- “Daddy?” She whispers “Can you cuddle with me?”
- I roll over and wrap my arm around her small body. She chuffs as I wipe her wet face and soon she falls back to sleep. I turn my eyes up from my sleeping daughter head and look at my wife who is winking at me.
- I just close my eyes and drifted back to sleep, joining my daughter.
- I awake to her feet... paws, what would you call a jinko’s feet? jumping up and down on the pillow beside my head.
- “Daddy, I’m hungry.”
- I roll over and look at the clock, 8am. Wife should be at work.
- My lovely wife is a personal trainer at a monstergirl gym. She also holds some old body building trophy’s from her younger days. I on the other hand worked at law firm as an assistant to a dragon girl at Wan Wan Inc.
- I get up and make my way to our kitchen, my little girl following my footsteps, trying to match mine. She was cute, hard to imagine only 4 years ago she was a little baby, now my little June is almost 5.
- She hops up in her chair and seats her little tiger plush next to her.
- “What would you and Pete like for breakfast” I say, pouring a cup of coffee.
- “Steak and eggs” she happily responds.
- That’s all that child ever wanted for breakfast, never pancakes with steak chunks.
- I sigh and open up the fridge.
- “And to drink?”
- “Milk please.”
- Her tail wags as I grab her glass, a tiger themed one, and start to pour.
- “Thanks Daddy.”
- She grabs the glass with both paws and starts to gulp it down.
- As I grab a pan I hear a cute burp.
- “Excuse me.”
- I turn on the burner and throw in a slice of butter than make my way to grab the glass. I grab a piece of paper towel. She smiles at me as I bend down and wipe her mouth.
- “Thanks Daddy.”
- I ruffle her hair.
- “Rare, right?”
- “Yes please.”
- “You are such a good little kitten.”
- She starts to chuff as I open the fridge and grab the bloody steak. Slamming it on the pan I notice that my wife left a note.
- “We are going to have grown up time tonight.”
- Oh this is going to be one of those nights.
- “What’s that Daddy?”
- I jump, crumpling the note.
- You want to watch it cook while Daddy gets dressed?”
- “No I want to help Daddy get ready for work.”
- “Fine.”
- I head back to the room and hear her paws patter behind me.
- I open my dresser and the family photo and stare at my wife. I met Nika at a recruitment center fixing her laptop. She thought a smart man like me could teach her so she asked me out for a cup of coffee. Who was I to not help the 300 pounds of sexy muscles learn?
- About a year and two hip replacements later we tied the knot.
- I button up my shirt and bring out two ties. I raise them both up.
- “Which one should Daddy wear to work today?”
- She sits and ponders then she jumps off the bed and runs in and tackles my legs, nearly falling over.
- “They both look good Daddy.”
- I pat her head and laugh.
- “You should change too.”
- She sprints of to her room and I make my way back into the kitchen.
- I flip her steak, and see her run out of her room, her shirt stuck on her head.
- “Need some help?”
- “Yea.”
- I pull the shirt over her head and pat it, then rub her ears. I smile as she chuffs in response.
- Grabbing a plate I place the steak and throw an egg in the pan. She says I make the best eggs because I make them taste like the steak.
- I pour a cup of coffee.
- “More milk?”
- “Yes please Daddy.”
- I pour her another glass of milk. I never bothered with giving her cutlery, her hands were to big much like her feet. She fell so much when she first tried to walk…ah memories.
- I slap the still runny egg down on the plate a watch her devour it. Just like her mother.
- As I finish my coffee, she finishes her breakfast.
- “Go wash up and I will meet you in the car.”
- She jumps out of her seat and I go out to start the car.
