  1. from /hhg/ Helluva Hotel General #937, #943
  2. ------------
  3. Where does Blitzo get his guns?
  4. -
  5. Gun shops are likely just as prolific as porn shops in the right areas, I imagine you can't go a block without running into some kind of gun shop in the Wrath ring.
  6. Though I imagine Hell's gun industry is just a massive industry based off of stealing Earthly gun designs and giving them edgy hellish flare. Most of the guns I've seen are just twisted versions of Earth manufactured guns.
  7. I wonder what, if any, indigenously manufactured firearms look like in Hell.
  8. >once again Hell is just ripping off of Earth and is about 5 to 10 years behind Earth in technology
  9. >no one has any incentive to innovate since the march of dead Sinners will just bring the next step in technology with them
  10. -
  11. Can't Vox have one of his lackies to do his bidding and come up with a clever demonic firearm?

  14. I forgot we kinda do see some kind of locally made firearm in that blessed rifle Striker had
  15. Though it looks more like the weapon is just riffing off of Angelic technology/designs, so my point is reinforced

  18. He's a tech mogul at best. More likely he's just some jackass that uses his ""demonic powers"" to go full "Bill Gates" on the competition and buy/steal/murder them.
  19. I'm sure he has some fancy dumb looking angelic/blessed guns that are covered in useless tactical trinkets. But I don't see him as being an innovator.
  20. I mean, he run's a rip off of Apple/Instagram for christ's sake. He's no Steve Jobs.
  21. -
  22. I wonder what kind of tech gadgets are different in hell.
  23. -
  24. A large touchscreen Computer monitor that can be operated with a controller and/or keybord would be nice.
  25. ---
  26. Based gunfgs
  27. Nothing is quite so pleasant as the feel of a well-made firearm in your hands.
  28. ---
  29. I'd like to think that a majority of guns in hell are hand made with quality ranging from crappy pig iron hand cannons to masterfully made artisan pieces

  31. ---------------
  32. Since Hell seems to be a relatively modern society analagous to our own, do you think they developed alot of the tech we use first, along with Heaven, or did the mortal realm lead in the tech dept?
  33.
  34. Or does Hell just update every once in a while via magic to keep sinners accustomed to a similar environment?
  35. -
  36. I'd say stuff filtered in from Sinners, and seeped down from Pride. Since humans probably have a MUCH shorter lifespan than demons, they have more incentive to create, so over time, both inventions, and ideas such as citystates, trade and the like was brought down to Hell, with the upper echelons readily adopting it for themselves, primarily out of amusement. Then, over time, this became a massive influence in Hell, which is why we see Goetian nobles act like human ones.
  37. Trust demons to adopt the bad habits of humans, I guess.
  38. ---
  39. Hell is likely several years behind Earth. Though we've got no real way to prove that so far.
  40. We don't know how much of an incentive or reason the Hellborn population has to innovate and create new technologies, the Sinner population is likely uninterested in inventing or innovating, being likely more busy indulging in their baser instincts or trying to survive.
  41. We do see Sir Pentious indulging in his inventions, but they come across as wholly wacky and impractical. A giant laser cannon seems interesting until you realise its simply impractical even in Earth-like conditions. A giant blimp would likely get shot down by even some basic anti-air defence system.
  42.
  43. Hell has inherited Humanities culture. If even the upper nobility of Hell take after Human customs, lifestyle choices, cultural values and the like, then it speaks to how powerful and ever-present Humanities influence is.
  44. ---
  45. Most technology gets to hell through sinners. When sinful engineers, programmers, mathematicians and other scientists get sent to hell they bring with them their knowledge. Of course since a majority of these people die in their 70s I would imagine that there is a delay in the tech available in hell. We don't really see that in the show though, everyone seems to have modern smartphones, so technological differences are probably not taken into consideration by the writers.
  46.
  47. It would be inserting to consider since sinners can technically live forever in hell that the tech level there might be even higher than that on Earth. Imagine if great minds like Isaac Newton or Albert Einstein could live for an extra couple hundred years, what discoveries would be made.
