  1. I have spent the past 7 years working in IT support for a local school in which I have acquired a wide range of experience.
  2.
  3. From starting as an IT support apprentice, I have had to be able to think on my feet when troubleshooting whilst also being able to show great interpersonal skills to my colleagues and for the school’s pupils.
  4.
  5. I am now the school’s IT technician in which I now manage two whole school’s IT systems. The first being my current employer, Combe Pafford School. Within my time at this school I also maintain the neighbouring primary school’s IT systems.
  6.
  7. Both places of work have given me great experience in the following systems and supporting of said systems;
  8. • Microsoft Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, Server 2019
  9. • Microsoft Office suite (including Office 365)
  10. • Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10
  11. • GSUITE (Google Apps for Education)
  12. • Apple School Manager
  13. • Mac Server
  14. • Apple OSX – macOS
  15. • Apple Profile Manager
  16. • Apple Configurator

  18. I enjoy being a part of a team and love working alongside team members, whilst still being a strong independent worker. Within my current job I have one immediate IT support colleague and then up to around 90 end users in which we support. I am punctual, can manage my time efficiently, schedule tasks and prioritise jobs according to severity and other constraints.
  19.
  20. I have a love to learn attitude in the sense that I’m always willing to learn new systems, approaches and methods. I believe this is a must in the IT industry as it helps continue your professional development within the ever-changing computing world.

  22. I am familiar with a vast amount of devices/hardware and can install and upgrade hardware correctly, demonstrating good knowledge of health safety guidelines whilst working with hardware.
