  1. Pseudo-Gundam inspired D&D setting notes
  2. Dating system: BCD/ACD (Before/After Colony Drop)
  3.
  4. 200 BCD-Space Colonization begins after Terran federation is founded in the aftermath of 3rd World War between The Russo-American Alliance (Military alliance of post Putin Russian Federation, North American nations and most of Eastern Europe), The Western Euro-African Union (Economic Bloc of Western European nations and most developed African Nations) and the 2nd Greater Asian Co-prosperity sphere (Economic Bloc lead by China, Japan, 2nd Mongol Khanate, and The Indio-Pakistan Federation).
  5.
  6. 194 BCD- Colonial Sectors are established. 5 Sectors, with 50-150 colonies each. Sector 1 is populated primarily and sponsored by the RAA, with a dominant Slavic culture and a sizable minority of Hispanic Americans, African Americans, and Asian Americans. It was nicknamed Neo-Yugoslavia, as its governor was a descendant of Josip Broz Tito, former leader of SFR Yugoslavia. Sector 2 is populated and sponsored by the WEAU, and is of the wealthiest Sectors. Sector 3 is populated and sponsored by the GACPS, and is a haven for the sciences. Sectors 4 and 5 were all joint projects, and individual colonies vary wildly in quality and population demographic. Note 1.1
  7.
  8. 190 BCD- The first Colonial Congress is held, addressing a lack of representation in the TF council. They draft a petition for greater representation, which is accepted by the TF. The Sectors are each given a spot at the Council.
  9.
  10. 170 BCD- The first generation of humans not originally from earth is born. Some seem to display mild psychic abilities. This information is suppressed by both Terran and Colonial governments. They are considered a sort of sub-species, and are given the scientific name Homo Novis.
  11.
  12. 167 BCD- The first viable fusion reactor, called the Yi Reactor, is developed by Yi Sun Park, a Korean scientist. It is put into widespread use. Note 1.2
  13.
  14. 166 BCD- With the loss of the dependency on fossil fuels, the minor world power known as the Middle Eastern Confederation erupts into civil war after the government goes bankrupt. The war ends within the year, with the nuclear bombings of Tel-Aviv, Beirut, Baghdad and Qatar. Note 1.3
  15.
  16. 163 BCD- The first combat capable space craft is completed in a Sector 3 colony. Research into particle beams begins. Note 1.4
  17.
  18. 161 BCD- A new political movement, based around the abandonment of earth to let the planet heal its environment and the expansion of human kind to the stars begins in Sector 4. It is called Contalism.
  19.
  20. 152 BCD- The Sector revitalization project, aimed at bringing the 4th and 5th Sectors to modern standards of living is a resounding success, with the two Sectors becoming self sufficient from earth. Their population booms.
  21.
  22. 150 BCD- The Sectors begin drifting away from Federation politics, with many citizens of the colonies wondering why they should have to pay for earth centric programs like the Mid-Eastern Reclamation initiative.
  23.
  24. 134 BCD- The Solar society, a group of wealthy private investors and scientists is founded with the goal of human expansion to the wider solar system.
  25.
  26. 128 BCD- Contalist sentiments in the colonies grow to a boiling point, and Pro independence protests begin.
  27.
  28. 127 BCD- The first Anti-Federation riots break out on 28 different colonies in Sector 4, and in 68 in Sector 5.
  29.
  30. 124 BCD- A rebellion in Sector 4 is wiped out by the Terran Federation in the use of controversial chemical agents being pumped into the colony’s air filters. The drugs intended use was to induce calm feelings in the rebelling populace so that the matter can be resolved peacefully, but over 3/4ths of the population die due to an unknown side effect that affects Homo Novis.
  31.
  32. 123 BCD- The unintentional gassing of almost an entire colony sours relations between the Terran Federation, and their Colonies.
  33.
  34. 118 BCD- Sectors 1,4 and 5 begin secret armament programs, with technologies resulting in near total disruption of radio frequencies and automated guidance systems.
  35.
  36. 116 BCD- The program develops armored vehicles mounted on Quadrupedal legs. Dubbed “spider tanks”, these AFVs displayed a greater ability to maneuver around difficult terrain. Note 1.5
  37.
  38. 115 BCD- The first Mobile Exoskeletal Combat Armor (MECA pronounced like Mesa) is developed. While reliant on an external power supply, these building sized humanoid mechanized walkers would prove themselves later on. Note 1.6
  39.
  40. 100 BCD- On the eve of the new century, the Solar Society draws up plans to send a colony fleet to Mars, and several generation ships to the gas giants to colonize their moons. The second Colonial Congress is called to address the possibility of a lawful separation from the Terran Federation to form their own government. Representatives from Sectors 1, 4 and 5 reveal the fruits of their armament programs to use as a last resort in case diplomacy fails.
  41.
  42. 89 BCD- A second rebellion in Sector 4 is suppressed, but Terran Federation Forces, under the Strategic Integrated Command (SICOM), take heavy losses after the decision to use regular army forces after the disaster of the Gas attempt. The Federation develops powered armor, complete with EVA capabilities, in response. Note 1.7
  43.
  44. 83 BCD- The Solar Society begins selecting candidates from colonial populations and constructing the ships necessary for their colonization attempt.
  45.
  46. 80 BCD- Particle Beam weaponry is finally put into use by Federation forces, but requires too much energy to be used on anything other than large warships, such as TF Moscow class battleships or Colonial Luna class battlecruisers. Note 1.8/1.9
  47.
  48. 78 BCD- Talks begin for the peaceful separation of the Colonies from Federation rule to their own government.
  49.
  50. 75 BCD- Talks break down after 1 year of stagnation, and both sides are scorned by the other. Sectors 2 and 3 join the Pan-Colonial Defense Development Program. The first MECA with an internal power system is developed and designated the Zeke after its chief engineer; Ezekiel Cozlak. Note 2.0
  51.
  52. 73 BCD- The Colonial Mutual Defense Treaty is signed by all Sector governments, promising that if one Sectors is to be attacked by an outside force, the others would come to its aid.
  53.
  54. 65 BCD- An asteroid is claimed by the Matsuri Mining Concern, and dragged into a Lagrange point, and is given the name, Luna 2 by miners. The name sticks, and the asteroid becomes a part of every map in the Terran territories. On it, and the moon itself, helium 3 miners discover a new alloy of Titanium. It is aptly named, Lunar Titanium.
  55.
  56. 60 BCD- The Colonial government obtains the knowledge to create nuclear weapons. How this was done is unknown. A Cold War emerges between the Colonies and Terran Federation.
  57.
  58. 47 BCD- The Third Colonial Congress declares its independence from the Terran Federation, and becomes the Colonial Republic. The Federation prepares for war.
  59.
  60. 43 BCD- The Federation obtains the plans for MECAs and begins a program to develop their own. The Colonial Republic, in coincidence, develops the Zeke 2, featuring better armor, an improved reactor, and improved Weapons systems. This would become the iconic face of the Colonial military with it’s resemblance to a soldier with a gas mask and a single main camera in the head. Note 2.1
  61.
  62. 35 BCD- The Solar Society finally launches its colonization fleets to Mars and the gas giants beyond.
  63.
  64. 34 BCD- The Terran Federation formally declares a state of war with the Colonial Republic. Immediately following this, the Luna Treaty, restricting and banning the use of CRBN weaponry is signed by both sides, fearing Mutual Destruction. All contact with the Solar Societies fleets are lost, and many fear the worst.
  65.
  66. 30 BCD- The first major battle of the war, the Battle of Alexandria, is fought over the Colony of Alexandria in Sector 2, with a resounding victory for Colonial forces due to their use of MECAs in the battle to flank Federation fleets from below, and causing disruption in their formations.
  67.
  68. 29 BCD- The Terran Federation reclaims half of Sector 1 and a majority of Sector 2 in Operation Lightning Bolt. Many Colonies are inadvertently, or purposely destroyed in the fighting.
  69.
  70. 27 BCD- The Republic’s MECA division produces many new MECAs and variants to existing designs. At the same time, the Federation’s own program develops the General MECA (GM). While not as powerful as the Zeke IIs of the Republic, they are armed with experimental beam weapons. Note 2.2
  71.
  72. 13 BCD- Fighting on earth and in the colonies has devastated both nations populations, and both sides come to an understanding that if one doesn’t end the war soon, both will be destroyed. The Terran Federation starts to look into creating a massive particle beam cannon while the Colonial Republic, desperate for a solution, debates and researches a way to end the war.
  73.
  74. 10 BCD- The Federation develops a new prototype MECA, which is more advanced than anything the Colonies have produced thus far. It is used only sparingly. The Mars colony begins to terraform the planet for human habitation.
  75. Note 2.3
  76.
  77. 0 BCD- All non essential colonies are redirected towards the earth. A final battle in the war ensues, but both sides weapons prove too much for the other. The colonies drop onto earth, and kill almost the entire population of the planet. Several remaining colonies are vaporized by the Terran super weapon, which also vaporizes most of Australia, where the cannon was constructed. The war ends, everyone loses. Remaining human populations exist sparingly on earth, in the last few colonies, on Mars and on the Jovian moons. Note 2.4
  78.
  79.
  80. 30 ACD- Surface radiation levels become habitable again, and earth bound populations resurface from shelters.
  81.
  82. 50 ACD- Technology is mostly salvaged, and bandit kings in old MECAs rule the lands. It is a new dark age, with dangers and lawlessness. Note 2.5
  83.
  84. 100 ACD- The anarchic age ends, with feudal kingdoms sprouting from the shade of colony ruins. Many salvage guilds pop up to explore ruins in hope of finding lost technologies. Some people start to exhibit slight mutations. Some people grow taller, exhibit sharper facial features, grow shorter, etc...
  85.
  86. 129 ACD- Magic returns to the world, and while almost anyone can learn to use it, certain humans find themselves naturally adept at it. Surviving Homo Novis, however, naturally dampen the effects that magic provides. Many are shunned by magic dominated settlements. The fantastical races of old, elves, dwarves and the like fully return from the mutations.
  87.
  88. 137 ACD- Nova Yurok, a kingdom in the north, discovers a functional Yi Reactor. It is, so far, the only city state with reliable electricity.
  89.
  90. 150 ACD- Present day. Old remnants of the Terran Federation, and other Pre-Drop government are emerging from their own hiding places. Adventurers search ruins to find possible treasures inside. Nobility duel in salvaged and refurbished MECAs, and bandits scrap together new and strange designs to siege and rob with. Even now, greenery begins its comeback, as parts of the wasteland bloom with flowers, small forests and thin grasslands around oasis’s and s
