  1. One day, you had a rather interesting dream. You found yourself at a cabin in the woods - the sort of thing you've seen in movies, but not really in this region. You're sitting in a rocking chair before a warm fire - the crackling flames are the only source of light here. There's a shrill sound of wind from outside that sometimes pokes within the cabin. Other than that, you got a small kitchen, a bed, ... and next to you, on a little coffee table, an old dial radio. It has three options. It's pointing up, to OFF. To the left, there's TRUTH. To the right, there's BLISS.
  2.
  3. You turn it to TRUTH. A song starts to play - the sound is a bit crackly, but the song itself is a lot more modern than you probably expected. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08h0IVs4RKQ
  4.
  5. A figure starts to form, woven from the shadows of the walls themselves, sitting in a chair himself, and strumming along to the song. http://i.imgur.com/Ie14OXw.png . His clothing is a dusty, trodden old suit with a purple tie.
  6.
  7. "Many a man and woman in history have devoted their lives to the pursuit of one thing," the figure says in a raspy, smokey voice. "The pursuit of justice, truth. Along the way, they often realize the truth ain't always what they wanted. Do you tell the grieving widow her husband died a hero, or he was snuffed out in the trenches from illness and malnutrition? Do you tell the kid fading from leukemia he ain't gonna make it, or force em to face his fatality before the age of 6? Do you tell a lost soul it's never gonna find its way home, or help it come to terms with its perception of reality, and fade away? Ain't an easy job, upholdin' the truth."
  8.
  9. "Me? I don't sweat the details. The truth's a state of mind - a state of ease. A lie is only gonna get you so far, but knowin' how to break hard news, how to change a perception - that's a talent. One I can't grant, though. As for you? Heh, if anyone gonna try to pass a blatant falsehood on you, you'll know it. And you'll be able to make em pay for it. But not all lies gotta be met with brimstone..."
  10.
  11. You feel a chilly sensation creep down your spine - like an icy rag - it slowly sinks into the rest of you, and calms your nerves. You fade back asleep, and awake the next morning to that song playing from the alarmclock-radio in your room. Huh, you didn't set that alarm...
