  3.
  4. “Please, don’t be so harsh,” Diy moaned.
  5.
  6. Endrun’s gloved grip was squeezing tight on her wrist, dragging her from doorway to doorway, down the spine of the ship.
  7.
  8. “You will thank me when you’ve learned some sense,” Lt. Endrun said as she yanked Diy.
  9.
  10. It was confusing enough when Endrun pulled her out of her sleep, but now she wouldn’t explain a thing, and insisted on moving Diy around like cattle. She wanted to scream for Bardex, but somehow she was afraid that would just make things worse.
  11.
  12. Then they passed through a door, and Bardex was standing there, a data slate in hand.
  13.
  14. “Oh, hey there,” He said with a smile, “where are you ladies headed?”
  15.
  16. Diy’s eyes went wide. She tried to plead with Bardex with her eyes.
  17.
  18. Bardex looked at her, and his expression went dour for a moment. Could he see it? It should have been obvious she needed his help.
  19.
  20. “Female issues, Captain,” Endrun said. She had stopped pulling, but her grip was still tight.
  21.
  22. “Oh,” Bardex said, and his red face blushed darker, “Hey, good luck you two.”
  23.
  24. He picked up his data slate, gave Diy a pat on the shoulder and a wink, and then walked through a doorway.
  25.
  26. Endrun looked over at Diy, “Shall we?”
  27.
  28. Diy wished she could shrink. She shook her head, but Endrun pulled her forward, and then pushed her through the nearest doorway. It opened to reveal a small room, the lights bright and severe compared to most of the others. The room had strange blue tiles on every surface, and the far corner was boxed off by what could have been rails, or benches.
  29.
  30. “What is this?” Diy said as she turned a circle.
  31.
  32. The door closed behind Endrun, “I would say I’m surprised you’ve never seen one, but I’m not a good liar. This is a refresher.”
  33.
  34. Diy couldn’t hide her confusion. It was the toilet? She looked along the ground, and saw that another corner had a proper port. What she couldn’t understand was what the rest of the room was for.
  35.
  36. “Get undressed,” Endrun said.
  37.
  38. Diy turned to Endrun and took a step back, “What? Why?”
  39.
  40. Endrun squeezed the bridge of her nose with her fingers, and let out an aggravated sigh. “Why does he do this to me? What have I done to deserve this, besides accompanying him in the first place.”
  41.
  42. Diy didn’t know if she was supposed to answer or not. She took a step forward, and leaned her head down to get a better look at Endrun’s face.
  43.
  44. The scarred woman stood tall again, “You’re filthy! Worse than that, your stench is offensive on several levels.”
  45.
  46. She didn’t expect the yelling, especially something so mean. She didn’t stink, did she? At least, she never smelled bad to herself. Diy always thought wookiees had a keen sense of smell, wouldn’t she have been chastised if she stank?
  47.
  48. “Did I tell you how I feel about repeating myself?” Lt. Endrun said with her hands behind her back, “Get undressed.”
  49.
  50. “But,” Diy put a hand across her chest as she tried to explain herself.
  51.
  52. “Nothing you have will impress me,” Endrun said as she took a slow step forward, her eyes drilling into Diy, “And if you have something I don’t under there, your freakish anatomy has offended me enough already. So just lose the whore dress.”
  53.
  54. Diy was shocked still. Even with her old owner, a man who had literally ripped someone limb from limb, she had never felt so afraid. Endrun was a tyrant, and now Diy was being stripped of her dignity.
  55.
  56. She went to her chest and undid her dresses central clasp. It was built to fall away with ease, and as she pulled it down her breasts spilled free. Diy covered herself with a free arm.
  57.
  58. She couldn’t resist a sniffle, and felt tears burning in her eyes. She had to stay calm. Her mother would have said to stay calm, to bear it, to survive it. Diy didn’t know how her mother did it, not against people like this.
  59.
  60. Endrun groaned and turned around, “I can’t watch this, it is pathetic.”
  61.
  62. Diy squeezed the dress down her hips, and from there it fell to her feet. She stepped out of it, and looked down at herself. She looked clean to her own eyes, what did Endrun see that was so disgusting? Why did she have to be so angry about it?
  63.
  64. “More tattoos than even he knows, huh?” Endrun said.
  65.
  66. Diy looked up, and Endrun had turned back around. The woman stepped forward and grabbed Diy by the chin, turning her head back and forth. Diy had felt this before, she was being appraised, what was her old price? She was too young to remember the number of credits.
  67.
  68. Endrun took a walk around her, touching a gloved hand to her shoulder, the small of her back, under her rear, a tap on the elbow.
  69.
  70. “I will never understand men,” Endrun said, but Diy heard a tone of amusement in the woman’s voice, “Into the shower.”
  71.
  72. She looked around, but still didn’t see a ‘shower’. Where would the water go? There was no hole except the waste port, and the shape of the tiles wouldn’t do for collecting water.
  73.
  74. “Go!” Endrun snapped, pointing to the boxed off area.
  75.
  76. Diy yelped, and ran into the corner. Endrun walked behind her, stepped over the low rail, and then went to a wall panel. She touched it, and it slid open to reveal a device with a handle leading to a wide flat circular head. There was a switch on it, but Diy couldn’t figure out the purpose for the life of her.
  77.
  78. “Usually I would just turn the whole sonic shower on, and leave you,” Endrun said as she got closer, “But like with children and animals, you require supervision in everything.”
  79.
  80. “Wait,” Diy said, trying her best to cover herself, “Just show me how it works, I can do it myself.”
  81.
  82. Endrun stopped, and for once Diy felt a glimmer of hope. The woman stood tall, and looked at Diy with a sideways glance.
  83.
  84. “Are you sure?” Endrun said.
  85.
  86. Diy nodded, “Yes, Lieutenant. Please, I can do it, I’ll get clean.”
  87.
  88. Endrun took another step forward, right in front of Diy. She held the device up, a group of concentric blue circles were on the flat face.
  89.
  90. “It is quite simple,” Endrun said, “point this side at your body, and press the switch.”
  91.
  92. Endrun did so, and a whir came from the device. Along Diy’s chin, where the device was pointing at the time, she felt a strange tingling that spread along her skin.
  93.
  94. “When it is on,” Endrun explained, “It will vibrate the surface of your body, eradicating the dirt you let build up on the surface. Let me demonstrate.”
  95.
  96. Diy nodded, and tried to relax. She let out a breath, and felt her earlier dread began to wash away.
  97.
  98. Endrun took hold of Diy’s arm and lowered it away from her body, then scanned the the device across Diy’s upper chest. The tingling was interesting, and it surprised her that this was doing anything to really get her clean. But at the same time, it was definitely refreshing.
  99.
  100. The device went across her nipples, and the tingling seemed stronger. No, she realized that it was just that they were that much more sensitive. There was a click from the device, and the tingling increased, it was almost a tickle, tiny prickles against that private area.
  101.
  102. Diy swallowed. She realized that her nipples were starting to react. She looked to Endrun, and the woman was looking at her as if she was still giving a product demonstration, eyes on Diy’s, straight expression.
  103.
  104. “Some species, and you may just be among them,” Endrun began, “require stronger vibrations to do the trick. They are, as I would put it, thick.”
  105.
  106. The device clicked again, and the vibrations on her chest increased. The stimulation felt like a light massage, as if subtle fingers were trying to touch her without disturbing a stage performance.
  107.
  108. “I think I understand-” Diy started to say.
  109.
  110. Endrun’s free hand gripped Diy at the shoulder, and the woman’s look became a glare.
  111.
  112. Diy blushed a dark green, and turned her eyes away. The vibrations were increasing, and now she could feel her breathing change. Her nipples were taught, and despite herself, and Endrun being right there, she wished she could touch them. She wished she at least had her dress. With the right moves, the feeling of her dress against her nipples was better than a finger.
  113.
  114. “It seems you are enjoying yourself,” Endrun said, her voice sounding a little strained, “I wouldn’t want you to get off task, so I better show you the proper application of more advanced features.”
  115.
  116. The vibrations moved south, trickling down her stomach as Diy tried to think of some escape. Soon Endrun reached her destination, the showerhead pointed directly at Diy’s groin. She let out a small gasp of surprise, but Endrun’s nostrils flared.
  117.
  118. “Pretend to have some self control,” Endrun whispered, “Is this how you’ll act at the slightest provocation? Like an animal in heat?”
  119.
  120. The sensations permeated her womanhood. It was as if a thousand tiny fingers swept over her lower lips, her inner thighs, ran through her hair. Diy bit her lip, tried to maintain her composure. It was no use, each breath was heavier than the last, sweat was on her brow, and she could barely stand straight.
  121.
  122. “Not bad,” Endrun said as she stood directly in front of Diy, the showerhead’s vibrations sweeping around her thigh, travelling up the ticklish skin at her sides.
  123.
  124. It was hard for Diy to concentrate, and Endrun was so close. It felt like she was teasing her, lips so close, watching Diy so intently. Is this what she wanted? Was that why she was so mean? Maybe, Diy realized, Endrun was lonely?
  125.
  126. Diy’s body moved before her mind. She closed her eyes and met lips with Endrun. For a moment it actually felt good. Diy didn’t know why, but she imagined her face as cold, almost metallic. Instead her lips were soft like small cushions for Diy’s own.
  127.
  128. Endrun shoved her against the tile wall, and then spat on the refresher room floor. Diy’s stomach sank as she saw the red-cheeked rage on Endrun’s face.
  129.
  130. “I should kill you for that!” The woman shouted. She stepped in toward Diy, and pinned her to the cold tiles using an arm to just below her throat. “Maybe I will.”
  131.
  132. “I’m sorry,” Diy gasped, “I just thought…”
  133.
  134. “You thought wrong, little prostitute.”
  135.
  136. There was another click, and Diy felt Endrun’s feet force her ankles apart. The showerhead vibrations hit her lower stomach, stronger than ever. Diy struggled by instinct, but there was nowhere to go. The showerhead was forced against her womanly lips, and the vibrations struck her like a jolt of electricity. The sensation ran deep, penetrated her. She had to bite back the trembling that threatened to spill from her.
  137.
  138. “You like that?” Endrun growled.
  139.
  140. Diy couldn’t contain her panic. Not only because she was being pressed so hard against the wall that it hurt, but because Endrun was right. She tried to squeeze her thighs shut, tried to push at Endrun’s arm to get free, tried to knock the device away, but nothing stopped the sonic waves, nothing stopped the growing pulses of pleasure inside her. It was ramping up too fast, it was confusing, and more than a little frightening.
  141.
  142. Her legs were shaking, her face flush, and she could barely think. A spout of excitement was leaking inside her, hidden behind Endrun’s attack, spilling over and through her. It couldn’t be stopped, and wouldn’t go away. Something was going to happen, and she didn’t know if there was any way to stop it.
  143.
  144. “Please…” Diy begged, “please stop.”
  145.
  146. “You’ll know when I’m done,” Endrun said, her expression straight but her face still crimson.
  147.
  148. Diy tried to resist the building pressure, but she could feel her body reaching its limit. Her nipples were hard to a point, every breath heaved her whole body, her hips pushed out toward the out-of-reach device.
  149.
  150. A chest shaking moan escaped her lips, and her mind went numb. It was an odd moment, as if her whole body was swallowed up in some alien bliss. She could feel herself twitching, somewhere, with small pings of joy.
  151.
  152. When she came to, Endrun was standing over her as she lay on the floor.
  153.
  154. “Finish cleaning yourself,” She said with her hands back behind her back, “I’ll be back to be sure it was done right.”
  155.
  156. Diy pulled herself up to sitting, and looked at the little device that caused her so much terror, and so much pleasure. She let out sigh, and reached out to grab it. She felt dirty, there was a lot more to clean off.
  157.
  158. After she was done, the door opened again, and Endrun threw her a grey pair of pants, and then left without saying a word. Diy looked them over, and then slipped them on. They were a little tight, but they fit. After tying the bottom of her dress a little, and tucking in the rest, she walked out to the rest of the ship.
  159.
  160. With that ordeal over, she didn’t know what to do with herself. Was she just supposed to sit around on the ship? Go back to sleep? Maybe she could go look at the swirling lights of hyperspace.
  161.
  162. She passed through a door, and heard a blaster go off. It made her fall to the floor and cover her head. Then she heard laughter.
  163.
  164. “Whoa there my pretty little emerald,” Bardex said, “relax.”
  165.
  166. She looked up, and saw that Bardex had a pistol in his hand, and a small orb was floating around the room.
  167.
  168. “See,” He said before firing and just missing the ball, “target practice.”
  169.
  170. Diy pulled herself back to her feet, “Oh, wow.”
  171.
  172. Bardex twirled the pistol on his finger as he walked over to Diy, “Wow, the refresher treats you right, you look absolutely radiant.”
  173.
  174. She couldn’t help but smile when he said it. It was almost like all the hate and anger Endrun inflicted on her was washed away by his smile. It made her tingle, minus the sonic assault.
  175.
  176. “Know how to shoot?” Bardex said, then his eyes widened, “wait, I know the answer to that.”
  177.
  178. “No,” Diy answered anyway, “I wouldn’t really want to hurt anyone. I mean, not if I don’t have to.”
  179.
  180. Bardex chuckled, “That’s why the good people at the blaster factory gave us stun settings.”
  181.
  182. She smiled, and nodded. The target wooshed around, making small gusting noises as it moved from place to place.
  183.
  184. “Come here,” He said, motioning with his free hand, “Come take a shot. You gotta learn some time, and this is how I learned.”
  185.
  186. Diy took a sheepish step, and then another. Bardex walked over to her, and put the blaster in her hand.
  187.
  188. “Here are the settings,” He said, showing her the small switch on the side, “We’re going to use the training setting here, couldn’t tickle a toydarian. Now hold it like this.”
  189.
  190. She tried to hold it up like he showed her, but it felt heavy, and it was wiggling so much. Bardex moved around behind her, and wrapped his arms around hers. His fingers were next to hers, she could feel his heat against her.
  191.
  192. “Concentrate little emerald,” Bardex said.
  193.
  194. “Yes, Master,” She whispered.
  195.
  196. “Put it in the sights,” He said, “keep it steady, don’t waver, and then just pull the trigger.”
  197.
  198. His fingers slid up her arms, until he was only holding her elbows. She could feel him though, feel him believe in her, his support. The target shifted, and she moved, took a breath, and kept it between the sights.
  199.
  200. The trigger was hard to pull, she had to squeeze, and hold the pistol still. She cleared her mind, kept her thoughts clear, and squeezed harder and harder. Then she heard the shot, and a toy-like chime.
  201.
  202. “You did it!” Bardex yelled, “Woo hoo, beautiful and a natural, I can’t believe it.”
  203.
  204. Diy hopped up and down, cheering at the top of her lungs. Then there was a blaster shot, and she gasped and looked around.
  205.
  206. The pistol had gone off in her hand, and barely missed Bardex’s head, leaving a small heat-mark on the wall behind him.
  207.
  208. His eyes were huge, and Diy’s eyes began to water. She was doing so well, too.
  209.
  210. Then he started to laugh, “Okay, no more jumping around with blasters.”
  211.
  212. She gave a nervous laugh.
  213.
  214. Bardex wrapped his arms around her, and held her chest to chest with him. He looked down into her eyes, those eyes beaming with pride. She was a natural, at something actually useful. It felt good. It was better than juggling.
  215.
  216. “Keep surprising me,” Bardex said, “I like that, the excitement.”
  217.
  218. “Oh yeah?” Diy said. Her heart was thumping. She was so close to him, she could feel his breath on her face.
  219.
  220. She kissed him. Her mind got away from her again, but this time it just felt right. There wasn’t that panic, that moment of dread as if she was going to be slapped. Instead Bardex held her head close, and his tongue slipped past hers. She could taste him, feel him, their tongues exploring one another. Then just as fast, it was over.
  221.
  222. “Keep it,” Bardex said with a smile.
  223.
  224. Diy’s mind was a hundred light years away, “Huh?”
  225.
  226. “The pistol,” He said, “It’s a backup, so now it’s yours. I’ll grab you a holster out of my bunk.”
  227.
  228. Diy felt a strange tug in her gut, and then a giggle escaped her lips. It grew, and grew, until she was laughing in his arms.
  229.
  230. “You okay, beautiful?” Bardex said as he let go of her.
  231.
  232. There were tears in her eyes, but the laughing wouldn’t stop. They streamed down her face, and soon she let out a sob. But she nodded yes, as best as she could.
  233.
  234.
  235. “Whoa there,” Bardex said, “did I do something wrong?”
  236.
  237. She shook her head, and finally it all stopped long enough for her to wipe her eyes. She looked at the pistol. It had a little smudge of paint on it, red. It looked a little used, some scratches here and there. She smiled at it.
  238.
  239. “I’m sorry,” She said.
  240.
  241. Bardex stepped forward and wiped away a growing tear, “No problem.”
  242.
  243. “Just,” Diy started, “This dress, it was all I’ve ever owned. I just…”
  244.
  245. She didn’t know what else to say. So she stepped forward, and hugged Bardex tight around the chest.
  246.
  247. “Thank you so much, Master.”
