  1. [19:44] Azti didn't know what she expected.
  2.
  3. Since that didn't work and it seemed he thought with his stomach. A sigh escaped from her lips. At the very least...the strange tounge sounded different from the growls.
  4.
  5. Hopefully this wouldn't be a wild boar chase. She'd get up, remove another piece of paper and repeat her previous ritual. This time, however...a drawing of several animals were on the front.
  6.
  7. Azti had a few people in mind to ask, but...perhaps the ookami would understand this gesture? How would a feral hunt? How would he act? A smile crossed her face. Though, it was likely he'd eat the sheet again. Probably.
  8.
  9. It wouldn't taste any better than the first if he did.
  10. (Atzi)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [19:53] Coyotl would make a canine like huff at the spat out chunk of paper. Dark brown hues would rize to Atzi again as she brought out more of the nasty tasting sheets.
  14.
  15. He'd remain sitting as she began to draw more squiggles, Coyotl would very nearly draw his attention to nearby squirrel before noticing that the squiggles weren't just lines... They were pictures.
  16.
  17. A deer, a boar, a bear, Dog, tch... Cat.... And various others.
  18.
  19. The Ookami would make a low growl at the cat drawing. But would sniff at the drawings of what he considered to be meat. It wasn't like the real thing though, and he'd lose interest after a few moments of doing that, considering how bad it tasted beforehand.
  20.
  21.
  22.
  23. (Coyotl)
  24. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  25.
  26. [19:59] This was making for fine practice of magical control, so she'd very much like to continue this cherade.
  27.
  28. "Currents, gather..." She'd mumble under her breath, the movement of a squirrel not having gone unnoticed by her.
  29.
  30. Soon, the poor rodent would become a flying squirrel, carried by magically enchanted air ust above the ookami. She'd point at the image and repeat its name for the feral.
  31.
  32.
  33. "Squirrel." The rodent was dropped right infront of Coyotl's face, then pulled back up. Dangled on a stick, the poor animal.
  34.
  35. "Squirrel. Hunt, the others." Her finger pointed to the squirrel, then to the rest of the animals upon the soaked page.
  36. (Atzi)
  37. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  38.
  39. [20:11] Coyotl would stare as the squirrel he was about to bark at was lifted magic and dangled on in front of his face like bait.
  40.
  41. his tail to rise straight up as he barked at the rodent multiple times. He'd grin as the squirrel began to writhe and buckle in terror at his intimidation. But wouldn't act upon it. There was no enjoyment to be had from prey that wasn't earned. He was a wolf. Not a Coyote.
  42.
  43. Coyotl would look at Atzi now as she gestured to the rodent. He'd tilt his head. Was she calling the rodent a squirrel or the stick trap a squirrel? At seeing her point to the other animals and say the strange word again, his ears would tilt slightly in thought.
  44.
  45. Was she telling him that the word meant to hunt things? The ookami teen's demeanor would remain straight faced, stoic, completely and utterly set like a steel trap. But his tail would wag ecstatically at the thrill of hunting.
  46.
  47. "Woof"
  48.
  49. (Coyotl)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [20:17] Watching his display, she certainly hadn't an idea if she had gotten through...but still, this squirrel wasn't much of a mark. She'd let the winds trapping it die down and allowed it to fall, pointing to it again as it ran off.
  53.
  54.
  55. "Squirrel." She'd say, pointing at the fleeing furball. Then, without much warning a blast of water struck right next to it and at that moment, she'd utter the word.
  56.
  57. "Hunt." The animal fled off in terror, having nearly been struck by such a large jet of water.
  58.
  59. The woman crooked her head, walking northwards into the forests. Perhaps he'd follow after that display? A chance to see the instincts of a wolf up close. It would be an interesting case, wouldn't it?
  60. (Atzi)
  61. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  62.
  63. [20:29] Coyotl would be sitting still one second, then blasting forward with incredbles speeds the next.
  64.
  65. One would see the Ookami jump into a thick bush before hearing the sounds of Screeching, gnashing teeth, growling and then... Silence.
  66.
  67. He would poke his head out of the bush. His mouth stained with blood, and the poor squirrel limp between his teeth.
  68.
  69. The Ookami would huff before walking towards Atzi and dropping the game at her feet. It was a shame to hunt prey then lose it so quickly after capture. He'd wipe his mouth with a sleeve.
  70.
  71. "Duuf. Tun itsew."
  72.
  73. He'd stare at it before looking to her expectantly. A pack hunts together after all. If she didn't do anything with it, the ookami would merely follow her with the squirrel in hand.
  74.
  75.
  76.
  77. (Coyotl)
  78. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  79.
  80. [20:30] Atzi Simply allowed the squirrel to remain in...that state. Not the greatest mark, but at least the ookami understood. She'd continue onwards, heading towards a clifface north.
  81. (Atzi)
  82. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  83.
  84. [20:34] Just on the outskirts of the dreadwoods, Atzi would come face to face with a cliff that had a good foothold. Looking to the ookami, she wondered how good a hunter he was as she rolled up her sleeves, using her wind to clamber up the side of the cliff with record speed.
  85.
  86. At the top, she'd come face to face with the signs of...a boar. Tracks, fresh at that. She stood at the top of the cliff and looked down at the ookami, assuming he hadn't managed to outclimb her.
  87. (Atzi)
  88. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  89.
  90. [20:41] As the two made their way to the Outskirts, the ookami would tear open the squirrel with his claws and eat it raw. If she would not eat it, he would.
  91.
  92. The Ookami would look around at the cliffside, jumping up alongside her.
  93. He too would notice the tracks, placing a finger onto the tracks left behind and sniffing for a scent.
  94.
  95. He'd go on all fours now, it seems he'd gotten it. He'd stand up before nodding in the direction of the quarry. Something instinctual told him they would be hunting this prey together.
  96. (Coyotl)
  97. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  98.
  99. [20:46] It seemed the ookami had an idea, so she'd follow close behind. Breathing out a densely packed mist, Azti stared throgh the surrounding forests, keeping a close eye on the feral's track but also keeping her own eyes peeled for anything even more...interesting to hunot.
  100.
  101. "Hah...let us see where your senses take us then, Ookami."
  102.
  103. She'd say quietly, a slight smile gracing her lips. Winds gathered around her, suffusing the mist into the air around them to mask their approach.
  104. (Atzi)
  105. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  106.
  107. [20:52] The ookami would follow the river's path northwards before stopping just before the it's bank. The tracks stopped and the scent was weakened... That could only mean their quarry crossed the water.
  108.
  109. He'd make a low growl before walking 20 paces away from the bank, then sprinting at full speed, Jumping across the river's width in a single go.
  110.
  111. Assuming Atzi was still following, He would lead them both to a clearing just past it. He'd lower himself on the ground, letting the long grass hide him.
  112.
  113. Lo and behold, there was a boar grazing just beyond. Coyotl would be dead silent.
  114. (Coyotl)
  115. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  116.
  117. [21:00] A fog rolled into the clearing as Azti arrived at Coyotl's side. Her calm eyes watching the boar as it grazed peacefully, unaware of the looming trouble. The fog aided in obscuring their forms, alongside the grassy terrain. She'd crouch down and prepare.
  118.
  119. The swift brutal strike of a shark, the violent but calclating attack of a swuisarme.
  120.
  121. The calm sound of a summer breeze...all aspects Azti channeled at the moment, amongst the cliff face.
  122.
  123. Her fog condensed slightly infront of her, a small strand of water that she'd grab hold of. Azti's weapon prepared, she'd look over to the silent Coyotl. A smirk graced her face. T'was the pack's nature to circle around its pray.
  124.
  125. And so, she'd begin to move. The fog moved with her, but also remained in place around Coyotl. Just enough visibility to make out the large frame of the grazing boar, but not enough for it to spot them during its meal.
  126.
  127. Eventually, the woman stood just short of thirty paces away from the boar's back. Her javelin of water remained ready and she was poised to toss the aquatic weapon, ready to use her wind to fire the deadly harpoon into the boar's spinal column.
  128. (Atzi)
  129. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  130.
  131. [21:15] Coyotl would watch silently as Azti quietly made her way around to the other side of the boar. This was his element. No need for words, just instinct... Pure Primal Instinct driving the two in the direction of the hunt.
  132.
  133. He'd remain in his position in the long grass, ready to chase after the boar should it attempt an escape. As his companion raised her water javelin and launched it onto the Boar's spine, His movements would be nigh instantaneous. Rushing the beast in almost perfect synchronization to her incapacitating strike.
  134.
  135. The Ookami hunted boars before, the tusks alone could easily gore anyone who dared approach, And so he'd act with an incredible smoothness to his movements, No hesitation as he brought about his claws and slashed into it's leg tendons, effectively stopping it from having any means to fight back.
  136.
  137. He'd stand before their quarry with a growl. before looking upwards. It appeared the feral worshipped the twin wolf spirits as he offered a silent prayer. He'd then unclasp the stave from his back and drive it into the Boar's heart, saving it from any further suffering.
  138.
  139. "duug thgof..."
  140.
  141. He'd nod his head solemnly to the corpse before looking to Atzi with a toothy grin.
  142.
  143.
  144. (Coyotl)
  145. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  146.
  147. [21:31] Once she had tossed her aqua javelin, it was only a moment before she began to speak, quietly. Yet, the fog seemed to resound with her words.
  148.
  149. "The thrown spear pierces, the winds guide it to its mark, that which has ceased now."
  150.
  151. With those words, the spear began to accelerate moving faster and faster and turning into a blur. It ends up embedding itself into the boar's spine, yes...almost two feet deep. The boar's spine was split in two, leaving it helpless for Coyotl's assault.
  152.
  153. And what an assault it was. The boar's front legs were slashed to the point of uselessness. It collapsed completely, only barely able to thrash in its state of paralysis. A fine shot and a fine cut.
  154.
  155. "A natural born hunter. I would expect nothing less from awolf." stated Azti, smiling at a successful hunt. She'd walk over, removing the oceanic polearm from its resting place and letting it fade back into the air as vapor.
  156.
  157. However...not all would be normal. In her hand a lay a very thin fragment of something solid and cold.
  158.
  159. "It is..." Not much time passed before the fragment would shift into liquid, falling out from betwen her fingers like sand in an hourglass. Time would wait for no one, yet the sight was all that was needed for her...
  160.
  161. "Ice?"
  162.
  163. Soon, she'd turn her attention back to the ookami. Confusion on her face for a moment. That was something she could think on later. She'd bring out a simple carving knife, taking a cut of the boar's tusk. A simple, brittle Ivory, but something to remember the mark by.
  164.
  165. She'd also take a few cuts of meat straight from the animal, looking to gather something to cook it with.
  166. (Atzi)
  167. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  168.
  169. [21:41] Coyotl would watch as Atzi took her share of their prize. The wolf would follow suit now, placing both of his hands onto the boar's leg, and tearing the entire limb with a loud CRUNCH as the bones snapped and blood dripped onto the ground.
  170.
  171. The Ookami would bite into it without any care or regard to cooking whatsoever, munching ravenously at the scent and taste of flesh.
  172.
  173. He'd cast his gaze over to Atzi curiously as she looked for cooking ingredients. The world of cooking was far beyond this feral it seemed.
  174. (Coyotl)
  175. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  176.
  177. [21:56] Had managed to gather up enough wood and started a simple fire and small flame, that grew as she added logs into the pyre. She glanced up at the ookami, in the midst of him consuming one of the boar's legs whole, skeleton included.
  178.
  179. Not the most plesant sight before a meal...what had been that small ritual this ookami had done after the success of the hunt? He looked as though he was praying...her glanced lingered on the ookami as she skewered a slab of the bloody, raw meat onto a small but sharp stick. Simply roasting the meat over the flame, the smell would waft throughout the area. It didn't take long for the meat to take on a darkened brown appearance, well done. It was not as if she was in the cleanest conditions after all.
  180.
  181. Azti would mimic the ookami, looking up at the sky then back down again with a questioning look on her face. He'd most likely not understand what she was asking for however. Not to mention, he wouldn't be able to communicate this information, would he?
  182.
  183. "And to the victors go the spoils..." She'd remove the wooden implement from above the fire and inspect the throughly cooked hamstring from the boar. Questions lingered on her mind...how to speak to one such as this, how long the wait for the battle against Akasha would be and now a new one.
  184.
  185. That simple needle of ice. What made it?
  186.
  187. "Another thing to work on. Just my luck."
  188.
  189. She'd begin to feast on the slightly burnt pork, still keeping her eye on the feral as he continued to chew away at the raw meat. Of course, the smell of cooking still wafted through the clearing.
  190. (Atzi)
  191. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  192.
  193. [22:15] Would sit back and observe Azti silently... or at least as silently as a feeding Wolf can...
  194.
  195. Placing the meat on sticks? What kind of hunter didn't eat their prey immediately after their hunt? if it wasn't eaten soon it would rot. And carrion was not something the Ookami liked to consume.
  196.
  197. Coyotl would visibly pause as he consumed the boar leg when a new scent wafts over him. The hell was this? It was... good? Dark brown hues would eye the cooking slab of meat roasting over the fire. His eyes continuing to follow along as it darkened in color and found itself in Azti's hands.
  198.
  199. He'd blink once as she looked skyward and tilted her head at him. He'd tilt his head in turn before his ears perk up. It was a silent exchange, but the Ookami would pull two wolf totems from around his neck. One Black and one White, Identifiable as Asena and Saekanis. The teen would hide them away underneath the furs he wore.
  200.
  201. The Ookami would sniff a few more times before taking another bite from his boar leg. Damn he needed to try out whatever the hell she was doing.
  202.
  203.
  204. (Coyotl)
  205. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  206.
  207. [22:22] It seemed that the wolf was religious...though, what in the world were those totems? More questions to ask, but seeing as she'd not receive the answer yet, not without help. Two wolves, white and black...from the context, perhaps leaders of some sort...? But the reverence that the wolf looked up at the sky with led her to one conclusion.
  208.
  209. "Gods...hm. I am woefully ignorant of beliefs."
  210.
  211. Instead, the woman would get another stick and slab of meat, placing it alongside the fire and burying the other end within the ground. It seemed she was offering the meat to the ookami. She'd point out the campsite and the meat on the stick.
  212.
  213. "Cooking."
  214.
  215.
  216. (Atzi)
  217. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
