  1. Saifex was shaking, still disturbed by the news of the Queen's passing. It wasn't something he could simply pass over so easily. Infact, had Falco come to notice his grope upon his shoulder back in Danarium, the restraint upon his person was very visible.
  2.
  3. His voice tremored with agitation tremoring the tone of his voice with every word that passed through his lips. The extreme physical damage upon his armor, left it nigh useless, practically shreds clinging to an exposed abdomen.
  4. Seia's mark upon his exposed chest glimmered with a sapphire glow, the essense of Soul Resonance, prying it's way to the surface.
  5.
  6. "...For some time now... Me and Myrddraal have schemed against the Empire. Though our plans were never very grandiose, they carried on for some time now, in the event that something should ever manage to harm our village... Or our regency. Now? Danarium, and it's regent... Ersa, has violated our land, and I wish to invite you two to aid me in inciting Frostvale against... Not solely Danarium.... But the Empire.."
  7.
  8. He felt as though he'd be laughed at; Perhaps even denied by the two, much like he was with Seia.
  9. "In the coming days, when the regent placed by the Empire is assassinated. I wish to have the people of Frostvale know of the injustice amongst us... I want to fight back against Danarium, and reclaim what was lost... Though, we can never truly reclaim what was lost... We will make damn sure, we'll avenge it."
  10.
  11. He clutched his hands into tight fists, a mere prelude to the arousal of sapphircal flames engulfing his person, swarming about to finally display a weaker version of Seia's demonstration of Tsuchi Capabiilities.
  12. "...Myrddraal wasn't able to make it, and so I extend my request unto the both of you..." He stated, turning to the empty spot reserved for him by the fire.
  13. "Will you support me in aiding the people of Frostvale... " He paused for a moment, turning to Falco specifically, imagining that he could easily be tested for his next choice of words...
  14.
  15. "Leading... Frostvale, against the Empire? To end this madness, once and for all."
  16. (Saifex Tsuchi)
  17.
  18. Ulfdyr the Draugr: Vile Ah vill not be able ta fight against Dominic di'ectly, yet... Ah vill 'elp du in otha' vays. But fi'st, ve mus' 'emove dis new 'egent. Ahve little idea 'oo 'e be.
  19. Ulfdyr the Draugr: But, vit vat 'e said right as 'e got da c'own? Ah vill not let 'im live.
  20.
  21. Falco simply looked at Saifex with cold eyes, he was tired and filled with so much anger and just nowhere to release it...yet. He would open his mouth for a bit, nothing coming out of it for awhile before letting out a sigh and then said
  22.
  23. " Killing Alix, Definitely. Your Rebellion, sure. Leading Frostvale....no. "
  24.
  25. He kept his thoughts on the matter firm and would then say
  26.
  27. " Look, I don't mind you at all Sai, I think you're a cool guy. However Sephoria was my Sister and as her soldier I failed protecting her. One of the last things she said to me was that if anything were to happen, I should protect the throne for her kids and I intent to do so. I'll make sure to do everything within my power to see one of her kids on the throne. Even if it meant becoming Regent. "
  28.
  29.
  30. (Falco)
  31. He forgot to add this,
  32.
  33. " Even if it meant to fight one of his own comrades for the throne "
  34. (Falco)
  35.
  36. Ulfdyr the Draugr: 'Eel it back a bit. Both o' du.
  37. Ulfdyr the Draugr: Ve'll verk out succession afta' ve get 'id o' dis 'egent.
  38. Ulfdyr the Draugr: Ahm not goin' ta let Frostvaal fall ta civil var. Got it?
  39. Saifex Tsuchi: . . . Understood. There isn't much reasoning in antagonizing one another.
  40.
  41. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42. (Skipping ahead to another scenario)
  43. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. One day later, and Saifex managed to get his armor swapped through. A quick visit to the Barracks in the midst of the night earned him protection from Frostvale's cold. The damages upon his body were both healed, and hidden, however, the scars could never be undone. Memories of that fateful news... The very thought of Seia's death being partially his fault, left him with an olbigation.
  46.
  47. ...An obligation that'd leave way for a second meeting, prior to the first.
  48. Saifex stood, before a fireplace in the coming of dawn. The flames reflecting off of his emerald hues, leaving a stoic expresion casted out for the horizon, expecting only a single individual to approach him in this time of need.
  49.
  50. He was unarmed, stripped of his incediary bolts and bow.
  51. "...I know you're here and coming, Myrddraal... I know you've heard of the news... Come forth." He spoke in a solemn tone, staring off into the darkness in expectation that a coming silhuoette would be revealed from it's shrouds, casted in the light of the flames before him in solitude.
  52. (Saifex Tsuchi)
  53.
  54. While he ventured toward the predetermined location for a rather secretive meeting, he saw nothing but white snow and a few sparce trees. Saifex was being very careful, he'd given him very vague instructions as to how to get to where he was going, and on top of that, the place was hours upon hours away from the hustle and bustle of even a small village on Frostvale's outskirts. Though eventually on the horizon he saw a blazing beacon, which when he got closer, turned out to be a campfire, but none the less it was the signal he was looking for.
  55.
  56. When Saifex addressed him, he pulled back the hood of his cloak and revealed himself with an expression as cold as stone on his face. The news he spoke of was of course Queen Seia's death, and her replacement with a regent literally had zero former relationship with the Nivis or even Frostvale, it was simply the Empire's chosen lapdog, something that didn't sit well with him, and many other of the Nivis.
  57.
  58. Saifex's tone was solemn, but his was venomous and remorseless, "I have, yes...and the Empire won't get away with this...I will not stand idly by any longer...They could have stopped Ersa, but they didn't, and though she's a former...acquintance of mine...She must be punished for her transgressions...And the regent must be disposed of...I think it was a plot of Aria's all along, to get a leader in bed with the Empire leading Frostvale...
  59.
  60. I am through with their meddling in our affairs when we have done nothing to provoke them and were as loyal as anyone else...No more...It's time to strike back..."
  61. (Myrddraal Shadowscale)
  62.
  63. It was time to restock on food again, so he grabbed his equipment and once again went to the outskirts. Ever since joining the Nivis, he hasn't had that much time in the wilderness anymore, so today he decided to not turn up for work again, not that anyone would even notice considering he's a nobody.
  64.
  65. He searched for tracks of potential game, but instead saw human tracks, probably other hunters or bandits...
  66.
  67. Once he finished setting up traps for small game, he headed deeper into the forest to search for more. He felt a disturbance to the wilderness... smoke, someone else is here. He scaled up a tall pine tree, and then spotted a campfire, bandits probably. Perfect, time to stea-.... reclaim some stuff from them.
  68.
  69. He very carefully headed towards its direction. He was close, he peeked through the bushes and found out two individuals sitting down there, they seem... familiar. Then he realized that one of them is that tall drakanite guy who recruited him... Saifex, yes. What are they doing here?. Of course he wont go up to them, time to eavesdrop...again. Then for some reason, his dagger started shining bright, 'Awwww realy?!' he thought.
  70. (Zurius)
  71.
  72. A solemn nod from Saifex was presented to Myrddraal, finding that even now he stood by his word. He was truly worthy of praise... Perhaps even of Seia, should he had succeeded his goals, and she remained living to this day.
  73. "First thing's first... The regency of Frostvale was decided by the Empress: An Oscuri, whom looks down upon our people, and laughs us in the face. They mock our Queen, and sought out to wither the hope of dragonkin...
  74.
  75. I SAY NO MORE!" He exclaimed. Something caught his eye, gleaming in the darkness close by. Light, casted from one's blade earned Saifex's attention.
  76.
  77. "An eavesdropper?!" He was rather appauled, slightly nervous but motivated to strive forth against what he'd imagine to be the enemy.
  78. "THE EMPIRE HAS TRIED TO CRUSH US UNDER THEIR FOOT FOR THE LAST TIME!" He broke out, "TODAY! WE FIGHT BACK!" His right hand fluttered up to his person, lashing out across his figure to snap mid-transition.
  79.
  80. A casting unique to his person, refined by the pyromatic gloves he weilded, to grant one a focused remote transcendence of flame magic, Incendiary Magic.
  81. The ground by Zurius' feet began to swell, bringing rise to his standpoint, and crackling through the frozen earth.
  82.
  83. In mere seconds, the ground would give in the inspontaneous combustion, arising into a pillar of flame, should one not dive from the targeted zone he stood within. Everything within a five foot radius was going up in fire, though it was an easy-to-avoid tactic as of now, the light was more than likely to reveal the perpetrator; A two-pronged attack, that held multiple purposes.
  84. (Saifex Tsuchi)
  85.
  86. While he knew that the regent was an oscuri, the fact that they outright mocked their former Queen, despite how hard she tried to improve Frostvale, was an insult he wouldn't let go, it was the last straw. Raising a clenched fist toward the man, his expression shifted from apprehension to one of pure rage as he vowed,
  87.
  88. "That bastard, I'll kill him myself! His head rolls just as well as anyone elses, and I will not let him get away with that! On my honor, the fool's regency will not last a fort night! I don't care who takes the throne in his stead, so long as I can have my vengeance, this regent, Ersa, Dominic, Aria, they'll all pay for what they've done to Frostvale!"
  89.
  90. He for one had been caught up in the heat of the moment and didn't see the glimmer of Zurius' weapon, but apparently Saifex was a bit sharper at the moment, so when he forced an explosion at the base of a tree, he raised his hand to shield his eyes just in the nick of time to keep debris from blinding himself. Though if he'd seen something, even if it was just being overly cautious and paranoid, it mean't that he'd have to be on guard, and once the dust settled, he lowered his hand and rested it on the hilt of his blade, and scanned the area for any movement.
  91. (Myrddraal Shadowscale)
  92.
  93. 'Aww crap!', he thought. Well, that's what he gets for being such a creep. Well, he couldn't blame him for lashing out, the former queen was just killed and now the empire has appointed a fool to the throne.
  94.
  95. He felt the heat emanating from Saifex, the ground beneath him shaking, the damned dagger still glowing. 'Wait!!!' Zurius exclaimed.
  96.
  97. 'I do not work for those monsters, no. It's me Zurius-'. The ground started shaking more violently, he lost footing and fell to his knees. And then, Shimmer ceased to glow, 'Thanks a lot Shimmer.'. Then he noticed a huge ball of flame headed towards his way. Insticntively he rolled over to the side, just having avoided getting singed by the flames.
  98.
  99. He has never seen an angry drakanite before, so this is the extent of their anger eh?.
  100.
  101. He stood up revealing himself to the two.. 'Saifex... it's me....', Zurius said. 'I do not mean any harm... but I understand that you two want to be alone.... I should leave... forgive me for my insolence.'. And so Zurius stood there waiting for a response, expecting any harsh punishment that comes to him.
  102. (Zurius)
  103.
  104. "Zurius." He was calmed, right hand still extended out towards him, with a clenched palm, fingers ready to snap once more, under the intent on cast an explosive spell upon Zurius person, should he feel further endangered of the plot at hand. His voice however, was never more grave than now. It practically growled, deepened with anger and lowered as though to keep his temper from flaring any further.
  105.
  106. The shadow casted by the vermillion threads of his hair, painted a dark and grim expression upon his visage, complementing the fury that burned through his veins.
  107.
  108. "...You're going to answer my question... " He started... "And if you fail to do so correctly.." He raised his head slightly, allowing the fires to reflect within a single eye, unveiled by the flame's light.
  109. "I... Will incinerate you... Where you stand."
  110. (Saifex Tsuchi)
  111.
  112. Could it be... is this the final release?. Oh.. well of course not, this world just keeps on finding ways to amke him suffer.
  113.
  114. Zurius' face was calm as usual, he did not fear death nor hellfire, what happens to him no longer mattered years ago. '.... So.... what's the question?' Zurius asked whilst sheating his dagger.
  115. (Zurius)
  116.
  117. Saifex's fingers seemed to stress against one another, on the verge of snapping... Literally. A vein was popping out on his forehead, and the cold vocals slipped through his lips like silk.
  118. "Are you for... Or against... The Empire?" He stated simply, eyes unmoving from his person.
  119.
  120. He seemed to be quite on the fringe of making a decision with Zurius' life already; He wasn't too keen on making a decision that could come back to haunt him. There were no second chances, for this world held no forgiveness. Everything was do or die, and Zurius' words could decide the fate of his own, and many other lives... Should he answer this correctly.
  121.
  122. "You have ten seconds, to reply...."
  123. The internal countdown... Began....
  124. (Saifex Tsuchi)
  125.
  126. Zurius stayed calm as usual, not seeing the point of lying to him, as much as he desires death, he will not let himself go down giving the impression that he supports those.... demons.
  127.
  128. 'The empire?' he states, for some reason the very thought of someone accusing him of being with them builds up a fire in him... 'You think.... I'm with "them'", the ones who took everything away from me... the ones who left this land in ruins..... those... those fiends that use the god's name to do whatever they want.... you think...that...I...' Zurius was losing it, this is the first time he did this in front of people.
  129.
  130. His face started changing, it was no longer calm.... it is now strained with emotions. 'Those bastards... are the reason I am this way.....THOSE FUCKING CUNTS KILLED MY FAMILY!!!'
  131.
  132. Then somthing snapped in Zurius, he was back.... '....no.....it was me....I killed them.... hehehe.' Now he was just babbling. 'Please.... do me a favor and make it as pinful as possible.... I am sure you are capable of it.'.
  133.
  134. Having lost all sense of reason once more, he is basically asking someone to give him what he deserves although his life has finally started to turn around. And yet... he did not know the reason of his outburst, it is not right to blame the empire for his mistakes. He then removed his hood, whilst waiting for Saifex's reaction. It was not right to lash out at him, '.......'
  135. (Zurius)
  136.
  137. Zurius: <*removes hood*>
  138.
  139. As Zurius started up his reaction, Saifex's hold on his cast began to fade. Slowly, the urge to purge this man from this plane of existence, faltered; Perhaps he was truly a Nivismen that could partake in h-
  140. He froze as he lowered his arm, especially once Zurius took a complete pivot for the worse.
  141.
  142. He was about to be spared when he expressed hatred Saifex percieved truth within against the Empire, but his turn-around concerning his family, disturbed Saifex enough to STRONGLY reconsider. It wasn't something you heard everyday, and far from allowing a consciousness to safely categorize an individual such as Zurius as sane and safe to be allowed to live amongst Nivis ranks, and in support of his cause...
  143.
  144. What if he decided to turn on fellow soldiers? What if he lashed out at other comrades in times of need? But most of all, why did he lash out at his family?...Then, there was finally the question, 'Why would he bring out such a topic in such situation?' He thought to himself... Was Zurius trying to get himself killed?
  145.
  146. The questions bombarded Saifex's mind, leaving him to glare at the man, with a once-falling arm, rising up once more, prepared to re-engage the executing 'snap', should justification eventually settle amuck the many thoughts that rummaged through his mind. He was silent now... Leaving the private execution's final results, a mystery... Until another such as Myrddraal had anything to say about it.
  147. (Saifex Tsuchi)
  148.
  149. While Zurius and Saifex spoke to each other, he remained silent and simply watched the two of them, ready to draw his blade and slice Zurius to bits if it came to that. Everything came down to his answer, for or against the Empire, and with a rather passionate response, his fears were put to rest. It seemed as if there was another soldier could be added to their ranks.
  150.
  151. With that settled, his hand which had been on the hilt of his sword, moved back to his side. Whether or not Saifex wanted to kill in out here where nobody else would find him was up to him, it really didn't matter to him, the two of them had been scheming toward this for quite some time.
  152.
  153. "Do what you think is right, Saifex. I won't breathe a word of it to a soul. He can join us, or he can die. Those are his options."
  154. (Myrddraal Shadowscale)
  155.
  156. Zurius: <I will meet you soon Azrael... and then we can finally talk>
  157. Saifex Tsuchi: This.
  158. Saifex Tsuchi: Is your final chance.
  159. Zurius: ......
  160. Saifex Tsuchi: ...Tell me, why should I let you live?
  161. Zurius: .... you should not, I am a pathetic excuse for a living being... I wish I could help you against those fuckers... but I'm too weak.... should you let me live.... then I guess this is my mission after all, to take them down...
  162. Zurius: .....<*closes his eyes*>
  163. Saifex Tsuchi: . . . . . . . . . . . . . Do you swear...
  164. Saifex Tsuchi: To abide to the oath of the Draco Nivis.
  165. Saifex Tsuchi: To Frostvale...
  166. Saifex Tsuchi: ...And her people...
  167. Zurius: .....I care not for what the nivis stands for... but if its to protect my new home..... then yes...i will
  168. Saifex Tsuchi: ...That statement made no sense... You have to the count of three to correct it.
  169. Saifex Tsuchi: . . . One.
  170. Zurius: ....ok fine i will geez
  171. Saifex Tsuchi: That. Is. NOT. GOOD ENOUGH.
  172. Zurius: fine then... what do you want me to say, i just want to kill some godamn imperials already
  173. Saifex Tsuchi: ...
  174. Saifex Tsuchi: ...Then it's obvious to me now...
  175. Saifex Tsuchi: You're not to be trusted. You're just as bad as the Empire... As far as I'm concerned, you -are- one of the Empire.
  176. Zurius: do not be mistaken... i care for frostvale and her people.... actually all people in general, do you want me to help or not?. Because I really am just trying to help but it seems to be not working, just.... do what you want.
  177.
  178. Saifex was shaking, pressure against his fingers growing evident by the sound of the material squeaking between the shifting fingers. Throughout his body, from the crevices of his Nivis armor, and the pores of his flesh, oozed a thin sheet of mana, igniting the translucent pyre that shrouded his person.
  179.
  180. "You speak for Frostvale and her people, only to contradict yourself. You aren't speaking to protect your village, nor against the empire! You, are simply a psychotic fool, whom wishes to thrive off the demise of others. A selfish, cruel, disgusting abomination that is NO BETTER than the Oscuri that plague the regency!" He exclaimed, proving that now, he had lost patience, making his decision final with the inclination of his tone.
  181.
  182. "I MADE THE MISTAKE OF THINKING YOU TO BE WORTHY OF THE NIVIS! TO THINK OF YOU WORTHY TO SERVE THE CROWN! AND I WILL ERASE THAT MISTAKE!" A growl from his person soared for the heavens as he pried his risen arm back, prepared to make his initial strike!
  183.
  184. Zurius could take up an attempt to evade, and potentially attempt taking up an escape... if he wasn't plotting on, changing his mind to attack Saifex in self-defense.
  185.
  186. Regardless, the original standpoint Zurius took up, would illuminate much like the first, leaving the earth to combust in an attempt to swallow his person in a vertical pillar of flames, intent on leaving nothing more but raining ashes, should one idle in it's wrath.
  187. (Saifex Tsuchi)
  188.
  189. Zurius: <*simply stand there accepting his fate*>
  190.
  191. Zurius finally will get what is coming to him.... then his life flashed before his eyes. All he saw was horror, he remembers the soldiers coming inside his old house attempting to take him away and in fear, casuing a huge wave to kill his mother and sister. He remembers his father, once a loyal soldiers to the empire killing one of his own in order to save him..... he remebers tristen, he had to do what was best for him..... he will meet them soon. He could no longer watch the land suffer any longer.... this IS his fate.
  192.
  193. He simply just sat down offering one last prayer to Kraus as the raging Drakanite charges towards him...
  194. (Zurius)
  195.
  196. The flames towered for the skies above, torching the body and withering it to an onyx arrangement of hues. The intensity of the flames beckoned secondary winds to sweep away it's figure, relinquishing it's form to reduce it to dust. The tower died down, and found it's hieght shrunken within a crafted crater.
  197.
  198. He stared into the pit, arms slumped to to his sides now, almost as though at ease. Though, one could never truly feel at ease, executing another Nivismen, no matter how much they could be compared to scum, in Saifex's eyes. The feeling felt so raw, so disturbing... So infuriating...
  199.
  200. He quivered in place, taken by the emotions that possessed him. "Enough.... I've had enough with this.." He monologued. "No more... No more non-sense." He turned some feet away, to realize something descended from the upheaval, a small blade: A dagger to be precise.
  201.
  202. Shimmer, a holy dagger with properties he lacked comprehension of. It was obviously not something to be taken for granted, nor a casual weapon that could be found lying about just anywhere from what he's seen thus far. It earned enough interest to be taken up, and observed closely.
  203.
  204. The illustrious sensation of holy magic seemed to empower him in a soothing way, yet no matter how soothing it may be, it did not circumvent the aroused emotions, once bottled within, from breaking to the surface. The flames that riveted around his person, twisted, hastening in pace until they eventually transcended down the spectrum of light perception.
  205.
  206. Finally, the boundaries of the soul had matured to one's will; The fire of Soul Resonation had taken it's hold on Saifex, taking his turn for the south to meet the others. Alix wanted to speak to him earlier... And now? Saifex was willing to follow through, but not in a peaceful matter by far.
  207.
  208. "Seia... I will succeed you, even if it's the last thing I do... That much, I swear.... Atleast... Until Sereza can mature to take the throne.."
  209. (Saifex Tsuchi)
