Samuel Catte: All of the people saying what an asshole I am sort of made me wonder, was I actually an asshole and just didn't realize it?  I still don't think I was an asshole, and Brad, who was there, agrees.  The writeup was obviously done in a more inflammatory way, but that was intentional as was meant to be slightly funny, and it was also more or less a case of "now that I don't have the restraints of being socially acceptable holding me back, here's what REALLY happened, and how I actually felt:"
Samuel Catte: But, that thing is, even if I WAS an asshole . . . I sort of don't feel bad about that?
Samuel Catte: These guys who hosted this event . . . Ken Balough and Aaron Webber . . . before Sonic 4 came out, they were apparently the head honchos in charge of hyping this piece of shit up.  They were the ones on the official Sega blog, posting long wordy rants about how THIS IS SONIC'S RETURN TO FORM, saying how great the game is.
Samuel Catte: So, there are two options.  They either know nothing about this fucking series and they were just spouting complete bullshit, because that's what they're paid to do.
Samuel Catte: Or, the other option is that they KNOW, but they were just lying through their teeth, hoping fans wouldn't notice how bad the game sucks, because that's what they're paid to do.
Samuel Catte: Either way, um . . . fuck them?  I don't care how many sandwiches they give me and how nice they are in person.  That's bullshit.
Samuel Catte: I like how the Sonic fans can be lied to for months on end by these douches, and then they give out a few sandwiches and suddenly they're heroes.  I call them out, but I didn't give free sandwiches and I don't have fancy offices to invite them to, so I'm a villain.
Samuel Catte: In summary: what a bunch of morons.
David Frisk: There you are. You needed to include sandwiches in your post.

Samuel Catte: Yeah.  I mean, don't they have this completely ass backwards?  Shouldn't everyone be mad at the people at Sega who have their hands in their pockets and look around all shifty eyed while whistling, going "no, no, I agree with you!  Sonic 4 needs work!  That's why we're here!"
Samuel Catte: When, just a few months ago, they were "THIS IS IT!  THE NEW SONIC GAME YOU ALWAYS WANTED!"
David Frisk: See, if they really have thought all this time that it needed work...they could have delayed it even more. Or scrapped what they had and started over. It is the games industry, it's not something that never happens. And really, if Sonic 4 didn't come out this year...they still had Colors.
David Frisk: And I'm sure they would have sold more Sonic 4's if it didn't get the mixed showing it did.
David Frisk: But what do I know...I'm just a fan lolol
