Years of Two

The pen glides across the page,
Once again setting the stage.
Whether just words or pictures too,
I'm glad to spend this time with you.

My words don't always seem that right,
The ebb and flow not quite so tight.
But when I think of your smile so great,
My creative thoughts are all set straight.

My lines don't always seem that nice.
With pose and reference, still no dice.
But thinking of your every curve,
I pursue the art that you deserve.

When the bad times start to pile,
and times make it hard to smile,
I dream of a world by your side,
And I can't help but grin so wide.

Our journey together has been long;
To go this far takes a love so strong.
And after these nice years of two,
I want to spend my life with you.
