Q: Why use Rattata/Raticate?
A: It will make Youngster Joey proud.

Q: Why pick the girl?
A: She is faster, because of the catching tutorial. When the girl does the catching tutorial, she does it too quickly causing her to repeat it once, so it's better to pick the girl so the boy does it.

Q: What kind of things do you do in this speedrun?
A: I will try to RNG manipulate a few things in this run, such as:
- Rattata with an IV Spread of HP31 ATK31 DEF31 SPATK27 SPDEF21 SPEED30 and Adamant Nature with Guts. This is done by moving perfectly early on. The nature is important as it lets me claim damage ranges on many fights; examples include most of e4 pokemon (less setup), Jasmine's Steelix
- Voltorb Flip, so i can get the Silk Scarf and a Swords Dance TM, as well as Abra (which will come in handy)
- Facade TM from Goldenrod (this is hard to manip because it requires perfect movement to Goldenrod City, so I might end up just saving here, as I have spare money I can use on the lottery)
- No encounters for as long as possible (extension of getting no encounters from Rattata onwards) to save time

I will also feed my Raticate an excessive amount of Rare Candies in the late game...she really likes them.

Q: Is this just for fun?
A: Yes, I really enjoy playing Pokemon.

Q: Is this the most optimal route for Rattata?
A: There is a strategy I want to use that involves a Jolly Rattata, which would save time because I would outspeed a lot of things. However I would need a completely new seed to do this, and I've already committed a lot of time to the Adamant Rattata, so until I route it I am going to use this Adamant one; there isn't too many differences, except for some ranges on E4 + other places in Kanto. The Red fight is WAY different with Jolly nature, and where you'd save the most time.

Q: What is the goal time?
A: 42 hr 06 min 9 seconds lol. There is no wr but honestly if i did this in under 5 hours, i'd probably be quite pleased but it's VERY unlikely.
