<I>Heeeeeeeellllllooooooooo Slugg Club students!</i> You hear the Headmistress's voice, which has been amplified with magic. <i>Welcome to the first round of the Slugg Club Dueling tournament! In our east corner we have</i><b> JOSLIN</b><i> and in our west corner we have</i><b>SPENCER</b><i>!!</i><br>
All of the Ravenclaw students roar with excitement to cheer on their classmates. They all are very eager to find out who is going to represent them once it comes down to the four houses. <i>Spencer is a feisty newcomer here in The Slugg Club, but she is rearing to go and I know she will be a hard competitor to beat! Make sure that you don't take her for granted, Joslin!</i> The Headmistress seems ecstatic. Joslin squints her eyes at Spencer and smirks, while Spencer takes a step back and readies her hand on her wand meticulously.<br>
<i>All right, ladies. I want a fair, clean duel! Please bow to each other.</i> Spencer and Joslin complete the necessary ritual before beginning the duel. <i>Wands at the ready!!</i> Shrieks the Headmistress</i> All right... One, two, three!</i><p>

The duel between the two witches explodes into action. Joslin tries to disarm her opponent straight away, but Spencer is able to deflect it without a second thought. <i>One point for Spencer!</i> screams Paige over all the commotion. Several Ravenclaws have begun to chant Spencer's name. <br>
This seems to give Joslin a second wind, as she hits Spencer with a batch of bewitched snowballs, officially earning her first point. <i>We have a tie!</i> beams the Headmistress. <i>Whoever earns the next point is our round one winner!</i> With that, both ladies attempted to fire their last spells at each other. Unfortunately, they both hit each other with the dancing feet spell. Both ladies were left boogy-ing down in the center of the tournament, with most of the onlookers mouth's agape in awe.<br>
<i>Um... all right then! It looks like we have a tie for round one, everybody!</i> This announcement by the headmistress was met with confused applause, but Joslin and Spencer readied themselves up for round two nevertheless.<p>

At the beginning of the second match, things are looking up for Spencer! She is able to successfully use protego once again to keep Joslin's disarming spell at bay. <i>You're going to have to switch up your tricks, Joslin! The first point for round two goes to Spencer!</i> The Headmistress seems to be giggling. She seems amused at Spencer's ability to stump the Hogwarts Dueling instructor.<br>
Just like last time, Joslin's fire is fueled by Spencer's deflection. Joslin hits Spencer with a perfectly executed Tickling charm, then finishes round two up with a win by successfully using the shield charm to deflect Spencer's stun. <br>
<i>Round two goes to Joslin! She is now officially in the lead as we head in to round three!</i> The crowd is roaring with excitement, and it seems as though every student has chosen a side. Ravenclaw or not, every student from every house that is present at the Tournament is currently shouting for Joslin or Spencer. It is so overwhelming you almost don't hear the Headmistress as she announces the third match.<p>

<i>Alright ladies! Round three! Wands at the ready. One, two...</i> Brilliant red sparks dance across the entire room as Joslin and Spencer's disarming charms each collide with the other's. Aside from a brilliant fireworks display, this does nothing to actually help either contestant, neither gains any points for this move. <br>
<i>Come on! This isn't amateur hour! I...</i> The Headmistress seems to put herself back together a bit, realizing that she is announcing and not simply watching. <i>Sorry everyone.</i> She is bright red. <i>Let's pick up the pace!</i> Everyone has gone back to watching the duel at this point, which is starting to heat up! <i>What's this?? Spencer is Jinxing HERSELF???</i> Spencer brilliantly escapes the wrath of Joslin's spells by performing the ebublio jinx on herself. <i>What an outstanding move!!</i> The entire room is erupting with cheers, hoops, hollers, and whistling.<br>
<i>The first point goes to Spencer for this round! One more point and she wins the round, if Joslin wins it's another tie!!</i> Seemingly determined to not allow a tie to take place, Spencer hits Joslin with the Jelly-Legs Jinx. <i>Staying true to her jinxing abilities, Spencer has bested the Dueling instructor this round! Spencer wins round three, bringing us to a tie!</i><p>

As if the excitement wasn't already at peak levels, the students seem to get even more rowdy. One Gryffindor student was seen setting off a firework from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes: George's Compendium Box of Pyrotechtrix. <i>ALEX! Do you think I didn't see that? Get to Miche's office right now and I will meet you there when this match is finished.</i><br>
Joslin and Spencer take their places across from each other once again, ready to start the fourth round of the duel. On the Headmistress's word, Joslin fires Expelliarmus at Spencer. Despite her trying to do this almost every round, it seems to actually work this time. <i> Wow! Joslin has finally managed to disarm Spencer! One point to Joslin!!</i> Immediately, Spencer retrieves her wand and tries to reciprocate the disarming. However, Joslin is too quick and fires again. Spencer manages to dodge this time, replying with the knockback jinx. This sends Joslin flying through the air. <i>A tie for round four!! Whoever earns the next point wins!!!</i><br>
Spencer looks like she has had just about enough from Joslin. She steadies herself, and starts blasting Joslin with the multi-shot jinx. Joslin seems to have seen it coming, however, as she quickly casts protego maxima, effectively shielding every single blast from Spencer's jinx. <i>Joslin wins round four!</i><p>

<i>All right, ladies! It has all come down to this. The final match. If Joslin wins this match, she will be moving on to the next round. Spencer has to win if she wants a chance at a re-match and staying in the game. Wands up! One, two, three!</i> What was moments ago dead silence in the tournament arena has quickly switched back into loud cheers for the two witches that are competing.<br>
Spencer tries to pull a card from Draco Malfoy's book by using Serpensortia. Gasps can be heard from several students in the front row, and one girl screams. She must not like snakes. Thinking quickly, Joslin screams the counter-spell, Vipera Evanesca. <i>Nicely done, Joslin! You almost had her, Spencer, don't worry! One point for Joslin!</i><br>
Students seem to be preparing themselves for this duel to be long and drawn out, as neither of the witches seem like they will be backing down anytime soon. That is when Joslin hits Spencer with the stickfast hex. <i>TWO POINTS FOR JOSLIN!</i> Then, before poor Spencer has time to think of a way to get herself unstuck, Joslin casts another spell. The Sardine Hex starts causing those little fishies to pour out of Spencers nose, and the lass starts yelling and drops her wand. <i>Well... that wasn't very nice, professor. Can someone please escort Spencer to Madam Laney for some fixing up? I guess that calls it, though! JOSLIN WINS THE DUEL!!!!!!!!!!!"
