Birthday presents for Adam

Alexithymiaa: -Adam walked up the driveway with Lady's leash in his hand, heading up to the house. Leading th dog up the front porch, he leaned down to pick up the couple of packages that were sitting next to the door before pushing his way into the house. Kicking the door closed behind him, he checked the name on the packages and then tossed them over onto the house since they were for him and he kind of anticipated that they were anyway. Unclipping Lady's leash from her collar, he looped it around in his hand before dropping down onto the couch, pulling the first box over into his lap.-
Tsaaq: Hayley jogged from the lake near the house around the block then made her way back to the house as she jogged up the driveway and slowed once she went reach the porch. She opened the door and shut it behind her and saw Adam. "Birthday presents?" She asked as she went to actually lock the door.
Alexithymiaa: -Pulling open the first box, he picked up the envelope that was resting on top, tipping his head back to look at Hayley on her way in. "Yeah, I think so. My moms said they were sending something and my aunt had asked for the address here."-
Tsaaq: "Do you mind if I watch you open presents?" She asked as she pouted her lips and went to stand beside the couch, her eyes lingering on the boxes.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh, sure." He said with an easy shrug. Slipping his thumb underneath the edge of the envelope, he pried it open and pulled the card out, reading the front before opening to see his moms' handwriting signing all of their names. "Gabe is twenty five and they still sign his name for him."-
Tsaaq: "Because your moms are nice ladies." She shrugged as she sat down beside him and leaned over to glance into the box. "What does it say?" She asked with a raise of her eyebrows.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, but he should be able to do things on his own at this point. It says 'may your birthday be filled with all the love we have for you. Love Mama E, Mama G, and Gabriel." He set the card down to the side next to him before reaching his hands into the box, pulling out a nice collared button down shirt neatly pressed.-
Tsaaq: She laughed a bit then just smiled while listening. "Oooo fancy." Hayley whispered as she leaned forward. "Are you busy on Tuesday or anything?" She asked him before going to look and see if there was anything else in the box.
Alexithymiaa: "This feels like their attempt to get me to dress better." Keeping the shirt folded, he set it aside and reaching into the box again, pulled out the package of socks with a note taped to it that said 'So you don't have to do laundry as often. -Gabe' "As far as I know, just working for a few hours. Why?"-
Tsaaq: Hayley shook her head and stifled a chuckle. "He should've gotten underwear instead of socks." She whispered. "Well... I did buy us tickets to see Infinity War for you birthday... The nice seats where it's like a pod or whatever. Then I guess we can eat?" She said.
Alexithymiaa: "That sounds great. I've been looking forward to seeing that." He said with a smile, setting the things back into the box before leaning down to drop it at his feet. He pulled the second box into his lap, pulling it open and removing that card to scan next.-
Tsaaq: "Same here. Especially after seeing Black Panther." Hayley said. "I should make my parents get you something too." She smiled as looked over at him.
Alexithymiaa: "It's really not necessary. I don't care much for my birthday. It's not a big deal to me." He shrugged uneasily, setting the card down and reaching into the box to pull out a metal tin of freshly baked cookies.-
Tsaaq: Hayley sputtered her lips. "That's literally what most guys say." She said with a shake of her head. "It means a lot to everyone else." She said before trying in inhale the aroma of the cookies.
Alexithymiaa: "Well I guess that makes me kind of basic then." He started to laugh, not hesitating to try a cookie because theyre fucking birthday cookies and you need to eat that shit. He bit into one of them, his grin spreading across his face because delicious, holding the tin out toward Hayley so she could take one too.-
Tsaaq: "I literally just was on a run but-" Hayley took the tin anyways cause why would she resist cookies and put one in her mouth. "Mmmm." She hummed as she clutched onto the tin.
Alexithymiaa: "My aunt is a great baker." He said before taking another bite of cookie. "I probably shouldnt have too many though, considering it's pretty much bed time now."-
Tsaaq: She shrugged. "Just save it for tomorrow and as long as you can?" She suggested as she stood to her feet. "It's pretty fantastic cookies. Why is everyone so good at cooking in your family?"
Alexithymiaa: "I guess it's just something we share in the family. We all learn from each other. From what I understand, my great grandmother was really good too." He closed the tin of cookies and set it down in the box, stacking his things together to deal with at another time because it was late and he didnt care right now. Pushing up to his feet, he stretched his arms over his head, giving a yawn.-
Tsaaq: "You should probably get ready for sleeps." Hayley told him as she watched him then started to take off her shoes after she stood to her feet.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, I have class in the morning and tomorrow is kind of a busy day for me." He leaned over to untie his boots and slip them off his feet before snapping for Lady. "C'mon girl, it's bed time." He said as he watched the dog drag herself to the stairs, beginning to head tothe second floor. "I'll meet you upstairs?" He asked before turning to follow behind Lady.-
Tsaaq: She nodded her head. "I'll take a shower and meet you in the room." Hayley said before sniffing the insides of her shoes out of habit more than anything else.
