  15. And here I thought working as a Counter Guardian was done after a hundred years. No, apparently the retirement package means that they've got a hold on me and I can't act against humanity's interests.

  17. Considering I'd basically be a king acting against his own kingdom... yeah. I may have an ego, I may even be a little bit of a dick, but I'm not going to screw the planet or mankind over. That'd be the sort of thing that a monster would do, after all, and my ego would never let me become such a thing. In fact, being a part time Counter Guardian has let me learn a few new tricks, like say occupying someone's body and living their life for them. New solution to bad people: find a person who is genuinely terrible, body hop into them, and then either make them disappear or turn their life around to make up for their misdeeds before making their body into something more fitting, where applicable.

  19. Or, you know, not do that at all while I'm here if it isn't needed. But I'm sure that plan may come in handy in the future.

  21. Also, Charles the Magnificent is a hell of a guy. I got to meet him and I think he's among the few people I'd actually approve of as a king. There aren't a lot of those, goodness knows that I've seen my share over the time I've been around, but it's good to see that there are some people who are borderline worthy of the title. His paladins too, I dare say they would have been nearly the match of the Round Table's finest.

  23. Beyond that... honestly? It's a matter of living through the years, bearing witness, collecting trinkets (liquid reason is interesting, to be certain), and occasionally having a hand in the events that happen. And learning magic, of course; when you hit the point that you're basically a living repository of knowledge, bartering knowledge for knowledge works nicely.
