The water was a murky brown color, with no evidence of water filtration. The glass was stained with blue, forcing Kenan Fauder to squint and lean in closer to infer what was inside.

  3. Resting at the bottom of the tank was a lone lobster. This lobster was no ordinary lobster; indeed it was quite different from one you may find at your local super-market. It was still alive, for one. Another quirk was that he only had one penis. Most male lobsters possess two, but this lobster was the odd man out of his litter.

  5. This lobster was also unusually red. There is a one in thirty million chance of a lobster being red before it’s cooked. For, contrary to popular belief; most lobsters are a much darker color before preparation, at which point they become the red-shelled crustaceans you may recognize. Crabs follow a similar biological structure, for the pigment cells in the cartilage composing the shell are chemically altered by the head. This lobster’s bright appearance was the only genuinely happy thing in the entire complex. It was not to last, for very soon the lobster would be devoured alive.

  7. The glass beneath the lobster shook violently as thick, black tentacles lowered from the top of the tank and probed the water. The dark, flailing things extended to the bottom of the tank and probed the lobster. Panicked, the claws snapped at the tentacles which dodged and weaved like a ferret in the wild. The tentacles wrapped around the lobster and held him down as the lobster was turned upside down in the water. A tentacle rammed itself between the lobster’s mandibles, and undulated as it’s tip wiggled around, searching for a possible part of the lobster to anchor itself in. It settled for the
