  15.
  16. Finding myself in a different place from one blink of the eyes to the next, with Demona at my side and surrounded by my worshippers, is not an unusual thing. But it is when it feels that I've only been displaced in time, but not to a different world - I could still feel the world, identify it as Middle Earth. Unfortunately... this meant that I was here at an unexpected point in time.
  17.
  18. And speaking of unexpected things: my cult has evolved, alongside Demona and myself, as we now all have the ability to shift forms to that of a corvid. No longer is it a cult, but a conspiracy of ravens.
  19.
  20. The ten years I was here was rather eventful - while there would be no concerns over hobbits, there was the fall of a Dwarven kingdom. However, even though it fell... it was retaken. The dragon Smaug was not slain, no, but stringing a black arrow onto a steel bow was effective in blinding him in one eye and inducing a great deal of humility into the otherwise majestic, if evil, creature. Of course that hardly mattered as he was able to flee intact, but the dwarves were leery about returning - this is for the best as Smaug returned, with a terrible vengeance. It was made exceedingly clear to him that his hoard would be his prison, as pain is a useful teacher and Smaug's wing an apt pupil, but he could still fly... if not well.
  21.
  22. My legacy in Middle Earth for this decade? A one-eyed, one-winged dragon who was paranoid enough to attack anyone who entered the Lonely Mountain until he felt safe. Much of the rest of my time was spent exploring, visiting, meeting those who remembered me and swapping stories as we once did, while the dwarves exiled from Erebor carved themselves a home and plotted their eventual return, once Smaug's guard would be down enough. After all, it had been proven that he could bleed.
  23.
  24. In time, after my departure, a cadre of dwarves and the burglar in their employ would return, a certain ring would disappear, and Smaug would eventually be slain after burning half of Esgaroth. But that is a story for another to write.
