  1. VN Intro
  2.
  3. [Star's bedroom]
  4. Marco:
  5. "Hey Star, are you in here? Star? I really need to talk to you about the weekend. (Sigh) Guess you aren't here.
  6.
  7. [Beeping noises]
  8.
  9. Unknown female robotic voice:
  10. "Miss Butterfly is not currently home, she was watching a squirrel through her window when she then said it insulted her. Last I saw she jumped out said window after it, declaring to not rest until she gets her revenge...on a squirrel. I worry about that girl sometimes. Anyway's I'm sure she'll be back soon, she can only chase after small animals for so long.
  11.
  12. Marco:
  13. "Woah...I recognize that voice, at least I think I do."
  14.
  15. Unknown female robotic voice:
  16. "You should, you use me constantly to prank call other dimensions. By the way, you need to come up with some better material, you aren't as funny as you think you are."
  17.
  18. Marco:
  19. "No way! I didn't know Star's mirror was like a magical sentient Siri"
  20.
  21. [Mirrors screen begins to glow bright white]
  22.
  23. Mirror:
  24. "I do not know who this Siri is, but rest assured I am better in every way imaginable. Can this Siri tell you where the closest blacksmith is? I don't think so"
  25.
  26. Marco:
  27. "Yeah, you got me there, mostly it just finds the closest Cinnabon"
  28.
  29. Mirror:
  30. "...."
  31.
  32. Marco:
  33. "Anyway's do you have a name, or is it just mirror?"
  34.
  35. Mirror:
  36. "You may call me the Magical Interdimensional Reasearch and Recreation Object of Royalty"
  37.
  38. Marco:
  39. "So...M.I.R.R.O.R.?"
  40.
  41. Mirror:
  42. "Yes"
  43.
  44. [Marco Laughs]
  45.
  46. Mirror:
  47. "Like Marco is any better?" [beeping noise] Anyways like I said Miss Butterfly is not here, please try again later.
  48.
  49. Marco:
  50. "Cool, I didn't know you knew my name"
  51.
  52. Mirror:
  53. "I know lot's of things. Miss Butterfly speaks highly of you to her parents, however, I don't think she is even aware of all my functions"
  54.
  55. Marco:
  56. "That's nice of her, I do feel like I could talk to her about anything which is why I was looking for her."
  57.
  58. Mirror:
  59. "My sensors indicate a sudden shift in emotional need. Are you feeling conflicted about something?"
  60.
  61. Marco:
  62. "Ehh, kinda I don't really expect a magic iPad mirror thing to understand, no offense."
  63.
  64. Mirror:
  65. "As I do not know who this iPad person is I will not activate my offense taking protocol at this time."
  66.
  67. Marco:
  68. "Sorry...Yeah ok, I'll come back later when Star is here. Can you not tell her we spoke?"
  69.
  70. Mirror:
  71. "Very well, do you at least require medical attention? My sensors are still indicating an influx in your emotional state.'
  72.
  73. [A slot opens on both sides of the mirror revealing little robotic hands holding a syringe, a scalpel, and a white rag. Marco backs away scared as hell]
  74.
  75. Mirror:
  76. "Please do not move, my brain surgery software is running on a beta version of a new update, doing so may cause you to come down with a serious case of accidental death."
  77.
  78. Marco:
  79. "NO NO NO NO that's not necessary I just need to talk to someone about it that's all. Power off or disengage or whatever"
  80.
  81. [Robo arms retract inside the mirror]
  82.
  83. Mirror:
  84. "Very well young Marco I will leave you to your suffering. I understand going to the doctor can be a terrifying experience but it's for your own good"
  85.
  86. Marco:
  87. "YOU CALL THAT GOING TO THE DOCTOR?! (Clears throat) Sorry, I know you were just trying to look out for me, uhh thanks. Go ahead and go into sleep mode or something now."
  88.
  89. Mirror:
  90. "If it is what you ask then I will obey"
  91.
  92. [Screen flickers a few times then the light vanishes, Marco can now clearly see his reflection]
  93.
  94. [Marco makes a sad face]
  95.
  96. Marco:
  97. "Wish you could help me, though. I'm not good at making tough decisions, not ones like this at least, but some things are even out of reach of magic furniture"
  98.
  99. [Marco places his hand on the mirrors screen]
  100.
  101. Marco:
  102. "Mirror mirror on the wall, tell me who I should take to uhm, uhh yeah no that's not gonna rhyme with fall fair"
  103.
  104. [Beeping noises again, screen turns back on]
  105.
  106. Mirror:
  107. "That I can help you with."
  108.
  109. Marco:
  110. "Uhm, say what?"
  111.
  112. Mirror:
  113. "I leave my microphone on in sleep mode to know when I am being activated. Also, I enjoy eavesdropping on conversations. Please do not judge me as it gets boring being a magical mirror, it's often the only fun I have."
  114.
  115. Marco:
  116. "Wow, the U.S. government would love you"
  117.
  118. Mirror:
  119. "I do not"
  120.
  121. Marco:
  122. "Know what this U.S. government is, I know, I know just forget about that. Why do you say you can help me?"
  123.
  124. Mirror:
  125. "Please wait while my assumption processor finishes loading an answer"
  126.
  127. Marco:
  128. "Sure...ok"
  129.
  130. Mirror:
  131. "Assumption completed. Unzipping folder and analyzing details "
  132.
  133. [Green loading bar appears on screen; fills up]
  134.
  135. Mirror:
  136. "If my software is correct, you are stressed out due to being presented with multiple correct answers to a problem of which you may only select one. And you would like me to show you the possible consequences that each answer might bring. If this information is correct please press 1 now or nod your head"
  137.
  138. [Marco nods his head]
  139.
  140. Mirror:
  141. "You have nodded your head. Please wait a few moments while I prepare the program needed to resolve your problem"
  142.
  143. Marco:
  144. "Hold on I still don't understand how you are gonna show me-"
  145.
  146. Mirror:
  147. "Please hold still so I may scan your memories to better understand your problem"
  148.
  149. Marco:
  150. "Scan? Wait hold on now, I can just tell y-"
  151.
  152. Mirror:
  153. "Scan complete"
  154.
  155. [Beeping noises]
  156.
  157. Mirror:
  158. "A important Earth event is coming up, considered by humans to be a great place for males to initiate a mating ritual"
  159.
  160. Marco:
  161. "Ok woah, its just the Echo Creek Fall Fair, there is a tunnel of love ride, but there is no mating involved"
  162.
  163. Mirror:
  164. "Very well, forget about that then. To continue, you have been presented with an opportunity to take 3 potential mates, excuse me "friends" to this event and are unsure of which one. One is my owner and your best friend, the other is a female you have disturbingly spied on for many years and the third is what my human dictionary program can only describe as a complete thieving, psychotic gypsy girl."
  165.
  166. [Marco shrugs]
  167.
  168. Marco:
  169. "Hey thats not fair! I did not mean to spy on Jackie all these years it just sort of looks like it because i have a pair of binoculars with her name on it. Everything else...spot on. And it's not like I wouldn't go with all of them if I could but Janna made it clear she just wants it to be me and her when she asked me, Jackie well I would want it to be an actual date, just th two of us and Star well she just kinda assumes its something we would do together like we have in the past. I was going to try to talk to her about it since she's cool with me to the point we can talk about this stuff but still I get the feeling it might hurt her feelings, but I don't really have anyone else that could have helped me"
  170.
  171. [Beeping noise]
  172.
  173. Mirror:
  174. "Well now you do. I can show you a possible future detailing the outcome of each individual choice. It will not be perfect as the future is not set in stone but it should give you an idea of what would happen. Think of it as what your memories call watching a movie or perhaps playing a video game.
  175.
  176. Marco:
  177. "How far into my memory did you scan exactly?"
  178.
  179. Mirror:
  180. "Enough to know about your situation with these girls, and how to assist you."
  181.
  182. Marco:
  183. "Oh"
  184.
  185. Mirror:
  186. "And also enough to know you sing in the shower, specifically a song called call me maybe."
  187.
  188. [Marco blushes and clears his throat]
  189.
  190. [Slot opens on the side of the mirror]
  191.
  192. Mirror:
  193. "Enough about that please place dimensional scissors in the dimensional scissors slot. I will require them to launch the fast forward program"
  194.
  195. [Marco looks stunned; places Star's dimensional scissors in the corresponding slot]
  196.
  197. Marco:
  198. "I still don't quite understand how this is gonna help."
  199.
  200. Mirror:
  201. "Simple, I can dial other dimensions, of which there are infinite number off. Powered by the actual scissors I can dial parallel dimensions to your own in which you have already made your choice and you can see the results of said choice play out for as long as you want. You may even chose a response your parallel version of you says and I will instantly jump to a dimension where you pick that response or select that action. It's not exactly time travel as that's just silly, but its close to it."
  202.
  203. Marco:
  204. "Ok, I guess I get it, guess that's why you said it's like a video game...lets do it. Just skip the actual fair, it's what might happen afterwards what bothers me."
  205.
  206. Mirror:
  207. "Are you absolutely sure? While true the future is not set in stone, you may still see something you may not necessarily want to see. There are reasons why the future should be best left for you to make in the present and discover on your own."
  208.
  209. Marco:
  210. "I want this, risks or no risks. Please, Mirror."
  211.
  212. Mirror:
  213. "...As you command."
  214.
  215. [The mirror emits a loud screeching dial-up modem sound]
  216.
  217. Mirror:
  218. "Dialing a compatible reality based on what you desire"
  219.
  220. [Mirror's screen turns to static and restabilizes itself as the games main menu]
  221.
  222. Marco:
  223. "Oooohhhh, colorful."
  224.
  225. Mirror:
  226. "Alright young Marco, let the games begin."
  227.
  228. [Player is now in control]
