  1. I am just going to write something here.
  2. I (the twitter owner) am one of the Kancolle event's organizers, it took 2 and a half years to achieve what we see today.
  3. And how difficult it is to explain to the ordinary old guys what Kancolle is. I guess no one understand unless they do it for themselves.
  4.
  5. "Kancolle? What is that an anime?" How many times have I heard that from people.
  6. "No, It is a game that is played on the web browser on a computer" I explained. Yet for people who fail to grasp the concept of games you can play on a computer, it's difficult for them to understand how popular this is among the youngsters.
  7.
  8. Despite my explanation, presentation, and tenacious effort in doing this, the others all had their sights on generally more agreeable projects.
  9. I remained an outcast, but the reason I didn't give up was because of the partially baseless confidence that "this project can work!"
  10. After that a few people agreed with my idea.
  11.
  12. Those people are people that really like Kancolle.
  13. Although I only have 1 married ship, some even have multiple married ships.
  14. They suggested that they wanted to make something that they wanted to see, so they took this suggestion to C2 facility (Tanaka's circle) and hence the circle involved in the Sasebo event.
  15.
  16. I can only thank C2 facility who responded in earnest to this passion of us.
  17. Although the-P-who-we-shall-not-name tends to be criticized for one reason or another, once he figured out that we're serious, he freely gave us help without any care of making a profit.
  18. And the result is the "Chinjyufu" book given to those ttks who came to Sasebo.
  19.
  20. Communicating with C2 was an unintentional suggestion by people inside our project.
  21. Previous attempts to move the project forward had all failed, and just as we thought give up would be a mistake, and the project suddenly began taking steps forward one after another.
  22.
  23. Even then, we still had no money. Our group was more-or-less just an amateur gathering, so we couldn't even gather proper funding.
  24. Hence, everything came out of our own wallets. I put out charity contributions in 5-figure increments, I lowered my head here and there, and we finally managed to secure the wages of volunteers and the venue.
  25.
  26. If our TTKs could see the Sasebo event homepage (http://www.kancolle-sasebo.jp/), you can tell that it is one of our people who burnt the midnight oil to make that website.
  27. Therefore, "hand made feel", as the KanColle devs put it (without malice), is in fact undoubtedly true.
  28.
  29. Those Kujuku Islands rice cracker, which were produced via our order, were packed by us ourselves while giving up our sleep.
  30. The reason why we couldn't prepare enough was simply because we didn't have any money.
  31. But, at this point, those who didn't care about the project began to tell us, "Wild(the author) since you are already working this hard, let us help too."
  32.
  33. Even then, there were people who told me "There is no way there be so many people coming to Sasebo", "Trying to sell things on Sasebo alone is just whitewashing", "What if someone is hurt? How are you going to take responsibility?" These words were said straight to my face.
  34. I guess I felt like Isoroku Yamamoto at the time when he made the suggestion to attack Pearl Harbor.
  35.
  36. But what wiped all these doubts away was all the ttks.
  37. To be honest with you, when I see people lining up orderly in the square, listening to the instruction of the staffs, I cried for real.
  38. What I've done, what I'll be doing, they are not wrong.
  39. I express my sincerest gratitude to you ttks.
  40.
  41. After this I don't know what will happen to future sasebo events, as everything depends on the IP holders.
  42. It is also not possible for Sasebo to depend on volunteers forever, as a lot of changes will happen.
  43. But, under that blue sky after the storm, as long as we were able to provide a wonderful memory to all those who enjoyed Sasebo, that is all I can ask as one KanColle fan.
  44. Fin.
