The Domestic Superheroes

Alexithymiaa: -Steph was sitting on the couch with Nugget in her lap and a bridal magazine in her hands that CJ haad left behind. She'd had all intentions of just sitting down to relaax and get some insight on the future venture, but she waas PMSing so that was a terrible choice. She'd come to an article about giving the bride away and the specialness of that between aa father and daughter aand had just began to sit and cry while reaading it. PMS.-
Covet: Felix was in the kitchen dishing himself up a bowl of ice cream, because it's the best late night snack. When he turned around to bring his bowl back into the kitchen he saw Steph bawling, "Wait.. what happened, I was literally gone for 5 minutes!" He asked as he sat down putting his bowl on the table and wrapped an arm around her.
Alexithymiaa: -She looked up at him from the magazine, her voice the most obnoxious whining sound that has ever escaped her body. "They just keep going on about how special of a moment it is to have your father give you away and how you'll always remember it and I'm never going to have that because my father sucks and I'll have no one to give me away or share a father daughter dance with." And her voice got progressively higher pitched as the run on sentence continued.-
Covet: Felix blinked and raised an eyebrow, "Yeah, but.. do you really want that with your dad?" He asked her rubbing her shoulder. "You could have your brother give you away? You said yourself he more or less raised you anyways." Felix added he really was trying to help.
Alexithymiaa: "Well no of course not, he's the worst, but that doesn't mean I don't still want to have that." She said through more whines, staring into his face as she considered his words. "Well he did, yeah, but..." She paused, thinking about it more realistically. "Do you think he would do that?"-
Covet: "I'm sure he would. He's your brother. Unless you want to reach out to your Dad at all.. Which...until he says he's sorry, I don't think you should say anything to him." Felix said, because he's definitely not the person to go to for Dad grudges.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't want to reach out to my dad. And that's not even something I would want to share with him. I just feel like because he's an asshole, I have to miss out on having that and it's not fair." She settled the magazine down on top of Nugget since he wasnt going anywhere, wiping her face with her fingers. "I guess I could ask Bryan... I don't even know why I'm so upset. This is stupid."-
Covet: "It's okay, Weddings are supposed to be emotional or some shit." Felix said rubbing her back. " I have some ice cream if you want a bite to make it all better?" He asked her because ice cream fixes everything.
Alexithymiaa: -She glanced down at his bowl, pushing the magazine off of Nugget and scratching behind his ears. "I haven't had ice cream in years..."-
Covet: "It's this fancy Halo top brand. fewer calories, cause Basketball season is going to be coming up and I can't be doing that full fat deliciousness of Ben and Jerry's." Felix said, "This one is their version of Cherry Garcia." He picked up a small spoonful that had some of the dark chocolate on it and a small cherry slice with a bite of ice cream as well, and looked at her. "I'm willing to share, this one time."
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know if you should be concerned with low calorie ice cream when you're double fisting leftover brownies..." She trailed off, just sort of leaving that there for consideration. She bit her lower lip as she stared at the spoon of delicious before leaning in to close her mouth around it, pulling the ice cream off and into her mouth. "Okay... that's really good."-
Covet: "Shhhhh!" Felix told her as he brought the hand that held onto the bold up to his lips. "Don't ruin this with your logic and evil woman magic." He told her watching her take the bite smiling, "Right? I'll share some more if you like" He said with a smile.
Covet: *devil woman
Alexithymiaa: "I'm sorry that logic is not your fortay." She said as she circled her arms around the dog in her lap. "Maybe... just a little more. A little. It feels nice on my throat after being a mess."-
Covet: "See, What did I say. Ice cream makes everything better." He told her with a grin, happy to give her another smaller bite. "Also.. My logic is just different then your logic."
Alexithymiaa: -She leaned in to take another bite of the ice cream before starting to sniffle again, wiping the corners of her eyes. "You're so lucky that you're not a woman and you only have to deal with one."-
Covet: "Wait.. Deal with one what?" he asked confused. "I know I'm lucky not to be a woman, cause well...I mean I'm pretty great as a man. The universe knew what it was doing when it was making me."
Alexithymiaa: "Deal with a woman." She paused, rolling her eyes. "You put up with me and my crap." She leaned into him aas best as she could with the lump of dog on her lap. "Sure, whatever you say Babe."-
Covet: "Oh! Wait.. does that mean you deal with two then?" He asked all sorts of confused, "Because I never said I wanted 2 wives, that sounds like way too much work."
Alexithymiaa: -She moved her hand up to cover his mouth, shaaking her head. "Please stop talking. Just... sit and be cute." She said as she slowly moved her hands to take the bowl of ice cream from him. "Good to know though."-
CovetCovet : Felix looked at her as she covered his mouth, then stuck his tongue out to lick her hand. "Don't I always sit and be cute? As if you needed to worry. You know how lazy I am, I could have that level of game, but I'll save that for Seb, I only need one woman, and my mom, in my life."
Alexithymiaa: "Uhuh... sure. Is that why you were so incredibly annoying for the first couple of months I knew you? Because you just had so much game?" She asked, scooping the spoon through the ice cream and bringing it to her mouth.-
Covet: "Yep. If I wasn't annoying, I wouldn't have been memorable. You would have forgotten about me. When I'm annoying. I leave a mark, and become unforgetable." Felix said sticking his tongue out at her.
Alexithymiaa: "You could have been memorable without being annoying. You've since been very memorable and have toned down the annoying. Sometimes..." She trailed off, eating more of the ice cream. "Actually thaat reminds me, is Seb going to bring aa date that we have to awkwardly meet for the first time?"-
Covet: "Pfft, It's called Balance, Red. If I wasn't annoying, I'd be too good of a catch. Flaws are what kee us human." He told her then laughed, "You mean again? He did it once in highschool. Mom said I couldn't make it worse. Guess who didn't listen. But they dated together until senior year and he went traveling the world."
Covet: keep*
Alexithymiaa: "Uhuh... all of this just sounds like reasons why I'm marrying the wrong twin." She said with a nudge, finishing off his ice cream and then proceeding to hand the empty bowl back to him. "I want to go traveling the world."-
Covet: Felix shot her a look. "It's too late... you can't back out now." He said then gave a shrug, "Well, you keep this rise of fame going and I'm sure you'll see lots of the world, either because you get paid to go there, or because you have the money to go there."
Alexithymiaa: "Could easily just switch you guys on the day and no one would know." She grinned, leaning down to give Nugget a kiss and more pets. "Yeah, but traveling for work is different. I've been all over the world, and I've never really seen much of it. I want to be able to actually enjoy the cultures of the places I go."-
Covet: "And what would you do with me? Mom would know there was something fishy." Felix said with a scoff at her. " Think of all the cool photo oportunities too."
Alexithymiaa: "I think I could convince mom to let it slide. I'm sure she'd just be happy I was still joining the family." She beamed at him, tipping her head to the side. "Mhm. We'd need to bring extra SD cards where ever we went." She paused, settling her hands over Nugget's back. "Where would you want to go on our honeymoon?"-
Covet: "The sad part about that is you are completely correct in that assumption." He said with a groan. "Of course, we'll have a whole case full of them. More than we know what to do with." Felix chuckled " Hmm, how about... Somewhere warm, with a beach, but no possible chance of a hurricane, ever."
Alexithymiaa: "I don't think that exists. WHere the weather is warm all year round, there is hurricanes. It's sort of just how it works, but that doesn't mean we can't go somewhere tropical anyway." When her phone started to ring on the coffee table, she gathered the chunky dog up and shifted him to Felix's lap so she could lean forward and grab it. Seeing Kelsey's face on the screen, she smiled and put the phone to her ear. "Hey Kels, what's-" She cut herself off when it was Connor, furrowing her brows. "Hold on Connor, they're yelling? Did anyone yell at you?"-
Covet: Felix was going over the idea of somewhere tropical and was nodding his head, then he looked at Steph as she picked up her phone and started talking to Connor. When she mentioned yelling he sat up a little because it's not a far step from yelling to domestic violence.
Covet: [Wait let me do Connor here that's easier.]
Covet: Connor sniffled, "I don't know they are just yelling again and they keep saying my name. Dad said he's not my Dad, Please can I come over, I promise I'll just sleep with the puppies."
Alexithymiaa: -She frowned, looking down into her lap. "Okay, I'm going to come get you and you can come back here, okay? Do you think you'll be able to get some of your stuff, like pajamas and your toothbrush?" She asked him in a gentle voice, pushing up from the couch and walking toward the bedroom to slip her feet into her shoes.-
Covet: Felix started to shift so that he could get up and get his shoes on after hearing her. // "I'm already in my pajamas, but I can get my toothbrush, and my shoes and coat. Please hurry." Connor said. Then walked away from the phone to get the things he needed to be ready.
Alexithymiaa: "Okay we'll be right there. Just stay where you are and I'm going to come in and get you. I promise nothing bad is going to happen." She said until she heard him leave. Hanging up the call, she stuck it in her hoodie pocket, turning to look at Felix. "Kelsey and Bradley are fighting and Connor is scared. We're going to bring him back here." She said as she went to grab her keys from the kitchen. "I can't believe they're doing this. Fights happen and I get that, but you don't argue like that in front of a child. He shouldn't have to feel unsafe around his parents." She spoke candidly, pausing to turn and look at Felix.-
Covet: "Poor Kid. It's not violent is it?" He said feeling his guard raise as he grabbed his hoodie so he could throw it on on his way out to the car. " I completely agree, thankfully he's got someone to pull him out of the middle of it."
Alexithymiaa: "I highly doubt it. I've known Bradley since I'm twelve years old and I've never seen him hit anyone. Ever. If anyone is hitting anyone, Kelsey would hit him first. Fuck, I would hit him first with how he's been acting lately." She started for the door, stepping over a sprawled out Hugo. "Can you pull up out front and I'll just run in and get him and bring him out?"-
Covet: "Yeah sure thing." Felix said with a nod, "After his attitude at dinner, yeah, do you think that's what caused all of this?" He asked following right behind her, "woops, watch out Hugo." He said nearly stepping on him. "Are you going to let them know you're taking him?"
Alexithymiaa: "I have no idea. I'm sure I'll find out eventually though. Actually..." She paused, pulling open the front door. "I think I have a right to know what's going on now, and intend to demand answers. I'll text Kelsey that Connor is here once we get back and he is safely tucked into bed."-
Covet: "Yeah, if we're stepping in, then we can't just do it blindly. We'll make sure Connor is safe regardless though." He said as they got in the car and drove off to go save the day.
