MegaTale (Pacifist) Part 16- Bizarre Confrontation

Suddenly, things got MUCH snowier than earlier. Also, some sort of fog appears, but somehow Rock is able to see somewhat clearly. Suddenly, a silhouette appears. It's none other than MegaBoy, who has been waiting for him at the end of the path. "Human." MegaBoy states. "You have cleared all my puzzles. May I remind you, I only made them because I was bored. BUT! I have tried my best to make them as hard as I could (without making them impossible, of course). However, despite my best efforts, you surpassed ALL my traps. And now it all comes down to this. One final showdown, in which the victor will be declared the best of the two of us. In this fight, I shall do my best to capture you so that I can rub this victory in Zero's face!"

"...But first," MegaBoy continued. "Allow me to explain some deep emotions and feelings. The joy in having someone that you can actually rival with. The respect and admiration of another's skills and abilities. The desire to push yourself and become better than someone else. ...These feelings... They must be what you're feeling right now!" Rock chuckles at this a bit. "But just know that it is impossible for you to surpass me." MegaBoy continues further. "After all, I AM the best in Arctic Jungle. And soon enough, I'll be the best in the entire Prototype!"

"However, fear not, human!" MegaBoy reassures. "Consider me not an enemy, but as your rival and..." MegaBoy just stops. "And..." MegaBoy tries to continue, but instead turns the conversation around. "...No. I'm sorry, but there's no way we can be friends. You are a human! I must capture you! Then I, MegaBoyX7, the Supreme Memester, shall get the respect and recognition that I rightfully deserve! Powerful! Popular! Prestigious! (Whatever that word means.) That is I, MegaBoyX7! The NEW captain of the Royal Guard!"

The FIGHT with MegaBoy then begins as MegaBoy pulls out a revolver of sorts. "MegaBoy blocks the way." Rhythm states. "And once again, there isn't anything we can do to spare him normally. We'll just have to use the Mercy button until MegaBoy ends the battle himself." Rock nods, pressing the MERCY button. "Ah, so you won't fight back, eh?" MegaBoy asks. "Very well then! Just know that I won't hold back, human! Prepare to be captured!" Suddenly, giant daggers appear from the ground. Some of them seem to be stained Blue or Orange. Rock knows how to handle attacks like those, so he was able to handle them easily.

Rock continues pressing MERCY. "Still no retaliation, eh?" MegaBoy states. "Fine by me, I'll just weaken you to the point where I can drag you to the capital myself! BOOYAH!" MegaBoy uses a few more big daggers, then switches to his revolver. Suddenly, a crosshair appears on Rock's chest while MegaBoy aims for him. Fortunately, Rock was able to dodge the gun shot in time, but only for MegaBoy to aim right back at Rock. However, it was a blue crosshair instead of a red one. Rock was at first confused, only for MegaBoy to fire two BLUE bullets instead of the usual white/silver. Rock realizes that the crosshairs are warning him of what attack is to come.

"Still, you refuse to attack?" MegaBoy asks. "This is your last warning before I use my greatest technique!" Rock then notices some orange crosshairs, deciding to walk through the orange bullets. It was then Rock noticed that the blue and orange bullets are much faster than the normal ones. MegaBoy fires 4 more bullets. Then, he takes out three smaller-scale daggers and throws them at Rock, the daggers spreading out. Rock is slashed in the side by one of the daggers, but is somehow still in stable conditions.

"So, that's how you want it to be." MegaBoy states. "Very well then! Behold, my Blue Technique!" MegaBoy then attacks with a barrage of daggers and bullets... All of which are blue. MegaBoy also throws three blue daggers at the end of the barrage. Suddenly, Rock's SOUL turns blue, somehow increasing his gravity! A quick dagger takes Rock by surprise. "Your SOUL is blue now!" MegaBoy declares. "That's what the Blue Technique is about! Booyah!"

"Ok, you're blue now." Rhythm states. "That means you can't move around as freely as you could when your SOUL is red. But, that won't make the fight TOO difficult." "I wonder if my new costume will be ready by then..." MegaBoy states, sort-of being off in his own little world as he attacks with more daggers. "...Hm?" MegaBoy notices Rock with a confused look. "Oh, just thinking about when I become captain of the guard." MegaBoy, putting more focus into the fight, attacks with a few more daggers as well as a few gunshots.

"I also have a few more tricks up my sleeve." MegaBoy states. "I recommend you give up before I use my SPECIAL ATTACK!" Yet another round of daggers and gunshots. However, in the end, MegaBoy prepares to throw a few more Daggers. Fortunately, Rock was prepared for this, as he learned of the pattern. So Rock prepares himself to-

"ZA WARUDO!" MegaBoy suddenly shouts out. Suddenly, there is a flash, and Rock is unable to move as MegaBoy throws the daggers, damaging Rock. "Wh-what was that!?" Rock exclaims. "Surprised?" MegaBoy states. "It's actually called the Timeskip, but I just love calling it that. I'm a big fan of Jojo, you know?" Rock didn't know what Jojo was, but it sounded like an anime of sorts to him. Despite, it seems MegaBoy isn't playing any games, so Rock decides he'll need to focus on dodging BEFORE MegaBoy freezes time.

"I can almost smell the sweet scent of victory!" MegaBoy exclaims, following up with another barrage of daggers and gunshots, seeming to use both at the same time in a few parts. Yet MegaBoy didn't seem to use the Timeskip/"Za Warudo" this time around. It seems as if MegaBoy is only going to use it before throwing daggers. "I can see it now... MegaBoyX7: Head of the Royal Guard!" MegaBoy uses yet another barrage of daggers and bullets, and continues to do so throughout the fight. "MegaBoyX7, the Unparalleled Meme Machine!" This time around, MegaBoy once again uses the Timeskip before throwing the daggers, which Rock was successfully able to dodge... Slightly.

Rock did, however, sustain a bit more damage during the past round, forcing Rock to heal up with one of T-Rex's pies, which actually had two slices, and was an odd sort of pie of no specific flavor. It was pretty useful, however. "I will finally show Zero that I'm better than him, and he'll be jealous of my skill and prowess!" MegaBoy states, before launching another barrage of attacks. "The king will make a museum of all my greatest memes!" The next round consisted only of a few daggers, ending with yet another Timeskip.

"Beta will... Well..." MegaBoy continues. "...He'll still be his same, lazy self." Rock chuckles at this... With it not being a good time, as Rock is hit by one of MegaBoy's gunshots. Despite, Rock manages to dodge the other attacks. "I will have so many admirers!" MegaBoy states. "...But..." MegaBoy just continues on with a barrage of daggers as his mind is focused on something else. "...Could there ever be one as kind as you are?" "Aww, how cu-" Rock started to say. "Yeah, it's cute, but WATCH OUT!" Rock was hardly able to dodge MegaBoy's next round of attacks.

"I'll admit, a person as genuinely kind and skillful as you are is quite the rare treat..." MegaBoy continues, launching a few more attacks. The scent of gun smoke fills the air. "...Would it even be possible to find someone that could rival me like you could ever again?" MegaBoy continues, attacking once more. Rock is forced to heal up again, using the last slice of pie. "I AM very skilled in many things, after all." MegaBoy continues. "If I become better than the prototype, then who could possibly become my equal?" This time, MegaBoy just uses nothing but his revolver.

"...Ugh, no matter!" MegaBoy states. "Surpassing Zero is what's most important!" MegaBoy ends the next round of attacks with another Timeskip. "Just give up already!" MegaBoy continues. "Otherwise, I'll have to use my SPECIAL ATTACK!" MegaBoy uses yet another barrage of daggers and bullets. "That's right, human!" MegaBoy declares. "Surrender now, or I'll have no choice but to bust out my SPECIAL ATTACK!" Another round of attacks, once again ended by another Timeskip. "If you don't surrender soon, I'll have no choice but to use my SPECIAL ATTACK!" Another barrage of daggers and gunshots, and it's once again ended by a Timeskip. "This is your last chance, human! The next round shall contain my SPECIAL ATTACK!" The attacks suddenly got a bit faster, catching Rock off guard. Rock was once again forced to heal up, this time using the Balloon Pastry.

"Fine then!" MegaBoy declares. "Behold, my SPECIAL ATTACK!" MegaBoy prepares himself, then throws out... Nothing. "Huh!?" MegaBoy asks. "What happened to..." MegaBoy then notices a smug looking Ender Man tossing up and down a golden dagger, whilst holding two other daggers. "Interesting knives you got here, friend." Ender states. "Not only are they golden, but they can bounce around? This is quite the treasure ya got here." "First of all, those are DAGGERS, not knives, Ender." MegaBoy states. "Second off, GIVE THOSE BACK! They are crucial to my SPECIAL ATTACK!" "...lolno." Ender states before running off with the daggers.

"...Ooh, that Ender can be SUCH a troll sometimes!" MegaBoy states. "AND THOSE SOMETIMES ARE EVERY TIME!" MegaBoy then sighs. "...You know what?" MegaBoy states calmly. "That's fine. I can just improvise. I'll just use a really cool regular attack." Rock prepares himself. "Alright!" MegaBoy states. "Behold, an epic-looking swaggish regular attack!" MegaBoy then proceeds to attack Rock with a variety of daggers and gun shots... All while using multiple Timeskips for the entire duration. Then, MegaBoy decides to form the daggers into the shapes of letters spelling "Epic Memester". MegaBoy then tops off the attack with a seemingly impossible-to-dodge attack.

"I have an idea!" Rhythm states. "Just focus your DETERMINATION. Use it to float over the attack!" Rock nods, and places a lot of focus into dodging the attack through the power of DETERMINATION. Surely enough, it worked! MegaBoy, however, ends it with a few more daggers and a few more Timeskips, in which both seem to slow down as MegaBoy starts to get worn out. "...Whew..." MegaBoy states, out of breath. "I haven't... Used that much... Timeskip... EVER..." MegaBoy takes a moment to catch his breath.

Suddenly, MegaBoy gains a bit more stamina. "I guess Beta DID warn me not to use Timeskip too much at once." MegaBoy states. "Despite... I gotta say, you're pretty good at this. But it seems that while I cannot defeat you, you can't defeat me, either. So I think we should call this a draw. I shall spare you, human! Here's your chance to accept my mercy!" Rock happily presses the MERCY button, and the fog clears up.

MegaBoy sighs. "It seems like capturing you was harder than I thought..." MegaBoy states. "...But who am I kidding? I'm never going to prove myself to be better than Zero. I guess I'll never be the captain of the Royal Guard... Is there not anything that can cheer me up?" Rock walks up to MegaBoy. "Hey, cheer up, MegaBoy." Rock states. "Let's just be friends, alright?" MegaBoy turns to look at Rock. "...You know what?" MegaBoy states. "You're right! I don't need to capture you to prove I'm better than Zero! Who cares if I won't be Captain of the Guard, or even a member? They're just a bunch of downers anyways! Besides, I don't need that! I'm already a great Steak chef and a high-class Meme maker! That enough should prove I'm better than Zero!"

"...No..." MegaBoy states. "It's MORE than enough! Thanks for showing me that, human! As thanks, I guess I'll make you an exceptional friend. ...Hey, I have an idea! I'll meet you back over in my place. I can give you a tour! Oh yeah! And I'll tell you how to get to the Surface! Just continue forward until you reach the end of the capital. There you will find the Log-Out. That's the name the old king gave to the barrier that seals us robots down here. Anything can enter, but only those with a powerful SOUL can pass through. Like you! In fact, that's why the NEW king is gathering humans: To break through the barrier with SOUL power. Then we robots can return to the Surface!"

"Oh yeah..." MegaBoy continues. "To reach the end of the Capital, you must pass through... The King's Castle. He calls himself the Administrator of all Robots. He is... Well... He's an all-around friendly guy! Everybody loves him! Heck, I'm sure if you just walk up to him and say... 'Excuse me, Mr. BossMan, can you please help me to get home?' He'll guide you right to the barrier himself! Anyways, I'm gonna head home now. Feel free to come back at any time for the tour!" MegaBoy leaves laughing as usual... All whilst doing some kind of inhuman jump. ...Granted, however, MegaBoy is indeed NOT human.

"...Alright, we managed to actually survive that." Rhythm states. "Now all we have to do is-" Rock then interrupts. "Actually, I think we can take a break on getting me back to the surface for a bit." "What makes you..." Rhythm starts to say, then realizes something. "Wait... Are you actually planning on taking that house tour?" "Of course!" Rock states. "Might as well leave with some happy memories in mind, after all." "...Heh." Rhythm states. "You really are something else, Rock. Alright, let's take that house tour, and I think we should take the time to buy a new healing item or two. But after that, we should get going." Rock nods, and heads his way back to Arctic City.
