1.
The Rules

 2.

These are basic rules that dictate our roleplay , site, and expectations.

 3.
 4.

5. rule one
 6. Drama will not be tolerated. This should be something that goes without saying, but respect and common decency will go a long way within a group. If you do have issues with someone in the group we ask that leave it at the door or come to the owners if it’s something that has happened within the group. Both owners have been part of groups that have dealt with more drama than necessary and we don’t want that here. We want this to be a safe haven, a group that feels like a family, and not one that is overran by drama.
 7.

If there is drama that happens within the group we ask that you try to handle it among yourselves; If not possible, or you feel uncomfortable doing so by yourself, come to the owners and we will act as mediators. If drama does occur, and we’re not foolish enough to believe that it won’t, the only thing we ask is that you bring us screenshot proof that another member is starting drama with you. This way we’re impartial and not going on the word of someone, instead of proof.
 8.

9.
rule two A group can’t function without activity. This is a given no matter what verse or group that you wish to join. It’s next to impossible for there to be a group if everyone isn’t active. We understand that from time to time there’s issues that come up (real life always comes first); we are lenient, but at the same time we can’t have a running and active group if you take a role and do absolutely nothing. If you need to take a hiatus, just let us know. Don’t make the page, let it sit, and do nothing on it. If you’re not feeling the muse come and talk to us, we can decide if another character might jumpstart your muse, or if you should try something different.
 10.
 11.

Every month we’ll be doing an activity check in order to make sure that everyone is being active. This will change monthly. One month it might be a specific drabble prompt, next it might be a moodboard. However, each month you will need to list your current owes and replies/starters you have crossed off your list. If you’re not able to complete your activity check in a timely manner, come to the one of the owners or message the page, and we can talk about excusing you for the month. In order to do this though we will need to make sure that your owes are up to date and you haven’t been keeping someone waiting for an extended period of time; this is to keep things fair.
 12.
 13.

rule three Due to the vast number of characters - not only within the novel series but the show themselves, as well as people wishing to bring their OC’s into groups, we will be allowing each member to have no more than two pages within the group. If you’re a main character, example: Damon, Bonnie, Rebekah, Klaus, you can’t have two main pages. No one wants someone that’s playing Klaus and Stefan, you should want to be able to have the connection, and write about it. In order to bring a second character into the group we ask that you have been a part of Mutua Nexis for at least two months prior and have shown us that you’re capable of keeping up with both accounts.
 14.

While we will be accepting OC’s, let’s be real, sometimes those are the most creative people out there, we will also be rather picky when it comes to them. No long lost siblings of any of the main characters - this is exempt for Margaret since she’s a novel based sibling. This means there won’t be any Salvatore Siblings, any extra Mikaelson’s, or Bonnie’s long lost brother. The storyline for your original character must make sense.
 15.
 16.

rule four Related to rule three, we know not everyone is amazing at editing - neither of the owners truly are - but we expect at the very least you have a clean and neat layout up on your page. There’s plenty of resource sites that have different layouts and as long as you’re not asking for something too extreme Matt is willing to help out with little edits on a page. Make sure that your page is either private (so it’s easier to people to add you) or you at least have an add button somewhere on your page that’s not too hard to find.
 17.
 18.

rule five While this group is rated M - that means there will be blood, gore, murder, and all kinds of nasty stuff, if you’re not comfortable with certain things, please tell your fellow writing partners. If you have any type of trigger warnings, let us know. If you’re not comfortable with something, don’t try to force yourself to write it or go along with it, speak to whoever you’re writing with and explain that to them. If you’re a specific character that is involved in stuff like that… perhaps it’s not the best choice for you to write as them. We don’t wish to have a Kai that’s above getting his hands dirty, or trying to murder his siblings.
 19.

When doing group based roleplaying, no sex/smut is to take place. If that’s something you wish to do between yourself and your romantic partner, by all means, we’re not going to stifle that creativity, however we don’t want to see it being done in a group based place. If you want to do it through comments, go ahead, but know that people do creep, and the owners might be checking your comments (to measure activity). If you don’t want people to see them it’s probably not the best place to put them.
 20.
 21.

rule six I know not everyone wants to keep their writings in the comments on their page, or they get too many, but out of respect to your fellow writer, let them know if this is the case beforehand, so they can save their work. If you’re not sure about comments, or keeping the writing there, doing a group forum tied to your own page will do wonders. Speaking from personal experience (Matt), I absolutely love this approach. You are able to keep your storylines separate, as well as all the writing that has been done between the two people.
 22.
 23.

rule seven LINE is not a requirement, but is highly suggested. We will have a LINE based group chat for in character banter, and group updates.
 24.
 25.

rule eight Have fun.!I know these rules might seem like a lot, or that we’re insanely strict, but I promise that is not even close to being the case. We are fun people, lenient when it comes to writing, but we want to put the best effort forward in order to make sure that everyone not only feels welcomed in the group but that we’re making sure that everyone is writing and active.
